What does holding USDe let you do?

USDe is designed to stay close to one US dollar, so holding it can give you a dollar-denominated asset to transfer or use in supported DeFi apps. You may be able to use it for trading, lending or liquidity, but acceptance depends on the platform and chain. A USDe balance does not automatically earn yield. Ethena offers sUSDe as a separate token for users who stake USDe; its yield can vary and is not guaranteed. USDe is a synthetic dollar, not a bank deposit or a claim on dollars held in a conventional bank account. Its target value can also differ from $1, especially during market stress or when liquidity is thin. If you need a dollar-like balance for a payment or short-term holding, check that the receiving service accepts USDe on the exact network you plan to use. A token with the same name on another network may not be interchangeable without a supported bridge.

How does Ethena aim to keep USDe near $1?

Ethena describes USDe as a delta-hedged synthetic dollar. In broad terms, the design combines crypto backing with offsetting positions in derivatives markets, aiming to reduce exposure to changes in the price of the backing assets. Staking rewards and funding rates from perpetual futures are described as sources of native crypto yield. That structure is different from a stablecoin backed only by cash and short-term government debt. Funding income can change, and derivative positions bring exchange, custody, liquidity and operational risks. If funding turns unfavorable or backing assets lose value, the mechanisms intended to maintain the dollar target may come under pressure. USDe traded at about $0.999 as of 2026-11-08, but a price near $1 on one date does not guarantee it will remain there or that you can always redeem at par. Before relying on the peg, look for current details on backing, risk controls and redemption terms.

Which chains and wallets support USDe?

USDe is issued across multiple networks, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, BNB Chain, Solana, Avalanche, TON, Aptos, Scroll, Mantle and zkSync Era. It is also listed on several other networks, so confirm the supported network and official token contract before receiving or sending it. A wallet can hold USDe only if it supports the relevant chain and token standard; a token balance may need to be added or imported before it appears. Self-custody gives you control of the wallet keys, but also makes you responsible for protecting them and choosing the right network. A custodial exchange or service may hold the assets for you, subject to its own terms and withdrawal support. Do not assume USDe on one chain is automatically the same as USDe on another. When moving funds between networks, use a route that explicitly supports USDe, and check the destination chain and token before confirming.

What moves USDe’s supply and market value?

The circulating supply was about 4.58 billion USDe and total supply about 4.93 billion as of 2026-11-08; there is no fixed maximum supply listed. Supply can expand when USDe is issued and contract when tokens are redeemed or otherwise removed from circulation. The figures do not tell you how much can be redeemed immediately or what conditions apply. Ethena’s dollar target is not a promise that every token can be converted instantly for exactly one dollar. At the same date, USDe’s market price was about $0.999 and its market capitalization about $4.58 billion. These are snapshots, not guarantees of liquidity or redemption value. If you are checking whether supply changes affect your use, look at current issuance and redemption terms, market depth on the particular exchange or chain, and whether the route you intend to use is open. Do not treat a large supply or market capitalization as proof that a stablecoin is risk-free.

How do you get, store and move USDe?

You may encounter USDe through a supported exchange, a DeFi market or Ethena’s issuance route, subject to the current terms and eligibility requirements. Before using issuance or redemption, check Ethena’s current conditions, including any applicable fees, limits, minimums and processing times; its fees and redemption conditions are not clearly specified here. If you hold USDe in a wallet, store it on a network your wallet supports and keep your recovery phrase offline and private. To send it, confirm the recipient address, network and token contract before approving the transaction. Transfers generally incur the network’s transaction fee, paid in that chain’s native asset. A cross-chain move may add a bridge fee, exchange spread or other service charge, and the route can introduce bridge and smart-contract risk. Fees vary with the network and provider, so check the final quote before you confirm. Sending through an unsupported chain or address can make funds difficult or impossible to recover.

What could put your USDe at risk?

The main risks are a loss of the dollar peg, failure or disruption in the derivatives strategy, and problems with backing assets, counterparties, custody, smart contracts or market liquidity. A bridge or the chain itself can also fail or become congested. Staking USDe for sUSDe adds the risks of that product and does not guarantee a positive yield. Check whether the specific exchange or DeFi app you plan to use has enough liquidity for your transaction; displayed prices can differ across chains and venues. USDe’s recorded all-time low was about $0.929 on 2024-10-03, and its all-time high about $1.034 on 2025-12-09. Those past prices show that the market price has moved away from $1; they do not predict future performance. Ethena’s launch date and detailed safeguards are not specified in its public project details. Before holding a meaningful balance, review current information on collateral, hedging, audits, custody, redemption and incident response, and consider whether you can tolerate losing access to or value in the token.

Ethena USDe in numbers

Ethena USDe (USDE) is ranked #22 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $4.58B and a price of $0.9989 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $4.92B, so roughly 93% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.

The price was down 0.0% over 7 days, down 0.0% over 30 days, up 0.0% over the past year. It trades about 3% below its all-time high of $1.03, set on Dec 9, 2025.

About 4.58B USDE are in circulation, from a total supply of 4.93B. No hard maximum supply is listed.

24-hour trading volume was about $19.0M, or 0.4% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

USDE has token contracts on 28 chains we track, including Ethereum, Hyperliquid L1, Scroll, Manta. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

USDE FAQs

Is Ethena USDe always worth $1?

USDe is designed to track one US dollar, but its market price can move above or below that level. A dollar target does not guarantee that you can redeem every token at exactly $1.

Does holding USDe earn interest?

No. USDe itself does not automatically pay yield. Ethena offers sUSDe as a separate token for users who stake USDe, but its yield can vary and is not guaranteed.

Which networks can I use for USDe?

USDe is issued on networks including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, BNB Chain, Solana and others. Check the exact network and token contract before sending, since support and balances do not automatically carry across chains.

What does it cost to transfer USDe?

Transfers generally cost the network’s transaction fee, and a cross-chain route can add bridge charges or other provider costs. The amount varies by network and service, so check the final fee before confirming.

What are the main risks of holding USDe?

USDe carries peg, liquidity, derivatives, counterparty, custody, smart-contract and bridge risks. Its design aims to reduce exposure to crypto price movements, but it does not remove these risks or guarantee redemption at $1.

What is the market cap of Ethena USDe?

As of Nov 8, 2026, Ethena USDe had a market cap of about $4.58B, ranking #22 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.

What is the all-time high of USDE?
