What does holding SUN let you do?
SUN is a governance token for the SUN.io DeFi platform on TRON. Holding it may give you voting rights in the platform’s community governance; SUN.io also describes staking rewards and value capture as possible token benefits. These are not guaranteed returns: the terms, availability and value of any reward can change, and voting power does not mean you control the platform or its contracts.
SUN.io supports stablecoin swaps and token mining, so SUN’s role is connected to a wider DeFi service rather than to paying for everyday purchases. Before locking tokens or voting, check the current rules, lock-up conditions and contract addresses through SUN.io’s official channels. The value of SUN can move independently of any rights it provides. As of 2026-11-08, SUN traded at about $0.0155, with a market capitalisation of about $298 million; both figures can change quickly.
Which chain and wallets support SUN?
SUN is issued on TRON; it is not listed as the native token of a chain. You will generally need a wallet that supports TRON assets and can display and send the SUN token. A TRON-compatible software wallet or a hardware wallet with TRON support may work, but check that the exact token and network are supported before sending anything.
A wallet’s displayed SUN balance is not the same as SUN.io holding tokens for you. With a self-custody wallet, you control the recovery phrase and are responsible for keeping it private and backed up. Never share it with a site or person claiming to help with a transfer or reward. Confirm the token contract using SUN.io’s official details before adding a token manually; lookalike tokens can use the same name and symbol. Sending SUN to a wallet or exchange that does not support the TRON version can result in lost access.
How much SUN exists, and can supply change?
SUN’s stated maximum supply is about 19.90 billion tokens. As of 2026-11-08, about 19.21 billion were circulating, against a total supply of about 19.90 billion. The difference between circulating and total supply is relatively small, but supply figures can change as tokens move into or out of circulation. SUN.io’s token supply and distribution rules are more useful to check than the symbol alone when assessing future changes.
The project describes a redenomination and the resulting SUN as a multifunctional governance token. That history matters when checking token records: older references or contract details may not describe the current token. Do not assume that a balance, market listing or contract using the SUN name refers to the same asset. Confirm the contract and network before accepting a transfer or interacting with a DeFi pool. Supply numbers do not indicate what SUN should be worth.
How can you get and store SUN?
You may encounter SUN through crypto exchanges or through decentralised trading services on TRON, including services associated with SUN.io. Availability, trading pairs and withdrawal support differ by platform and location. This is general information, not a recommendation to acquire SUN. Check that any exchange supports withdrawals on TRON, not just that it displays a SUN balance.
For self-custody, use a wallet that supports TRON and the specific SUN token. Test the receiving address and network carefully before sending a larger amount. If you use a custodial exchange, the platform controls the keys while your tokens remain there, and its withdrawal rules apply. If you use a DeFi service, you may have to approve a smart contract to access your tokens; check the requested permissions and revoke approvals you no longer need. Never enter your wallet recovery phrase into a trading or reward website.
What does it cost to move SUN?
A SUN transfer on TRON can consume network resources such as bandwidth and energy. If your account does not have enough available resources, the transaction may require TRX to cover network costs. The exact amount can vary with network conditions, account resources and the transaction type, so there is no single fixed SUN transfer fee to rely on. Check the wallet’s fee estimate before confirming.
Moving SUN between chains is a separate process from a normal TRON transfer. A bridge may charge fees and can add smart-contract, custody and wrong-network risks. SUN is listed as issued on TRON, so do not assume that a SUN token on another network is an official representation. Verify the bridge and destination token details before using one. A transfer sent on the wrong network, to an unsupported exchange deposit address or to an incorrect address may be difficult or impossible to recover.
What risks and red flags should SUN holders watch?
SUN’s main risks are the usual DeFi risks plus the possibility that governance rights or rewards do not deliver lasting value. Smart-contract bugs, compromised keys, malicious approvals and failures in a swap pool can cause losses. If you provide liquidity or stake tokens, you may also face changing reward terms, withdrawal limits or losses caused by price movements in the pool. Rewards are not guaranteed, and you should understand any lock-up before committing tokens.
Watch for fake SUN contracts, impersonation accounts and offers promising fixed or unusually high returns. Verify the token contract and the exact network, and be cautious of unsolicited links or requests to sign wallet transactions. SUN has also been highly volatile: its recorded all-time high was $66.45 on 2020-09-10, and its all-time low was $0.00462303 on 2022-11-13. Past prices do not indicate future performance.
What is SUN’s history?
SUN is tied to SUN.io, a TRON DeFi platform described as supporting stablecoin swaps, token mining and community self-governance. The project describes the current SUN as following a redenomination, but a launch date is not specified. Its intended functions include voting, governance, staking rewards and value capture. Check current platform rules before relying on any of those features, since access and terms can change.
The token’s price history shows why a long-term chart needs context. SUN reached its recorded all-time high in September 2020, then later reached its recorded low in November 2022. Those figures are historical markers, not targets or forecasts. For a holder, the practical questions are whether the current token contract is correct, whether governance or staking is active under terms you understand, and whether you can tolerate losing the amount exposed to SUN or related DeFi contracts.
By the numbers
Sun Token in numbers
Sun Token (SUN) is ranked #133 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $298M and a price of $0.0155 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($308M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was up 1.9% over 7 days, down 7.8% over 30 days, down 32.2% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $66.45, set on Sep 10, 2020.
About 19.21B SUN are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 19.9B (97% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $8.04M, or 2.7% of its market cap: moderate turnover.
SUN has token contracts on Tron. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

SUN FAQs
What network is SUN on?
SUN is issued on TRON, so you need a wallet or exchange that supports the TRON version of the token. Verify the token contract and network before sending; a matching name or symbol alone is not enough.
What is SUN used for?
SUN.io describes SUN as a governance token that may provide voting rights, staking rewards and value capture. These benefits depend on the platform’s current rules and do not guarantee income or price appreciation.
Does it cost TRX to transfer SUN?
A TRON transfer may use bandwidth and energy, and you may need TRX if you do not have enough network resources. The cost varies by transaction and account conditions, so check your wallet’s estimate before confirming.
What is SUN’s maximum supply?
SUN’s stated maximum supply is about 19.90 billion tokens. About 19.21 billion were circulating as of 2026-11-08; supply figures can change over time.
Is SUN risky to hold?
Yes. SUN can be exposed to price volatility, smart-contract failures, malicious token approvals and risks in staking or liquidity pools. Verify contracts and understand withdrawal and reward terms before interacting with DeFi services.
What is the market cap of Sun Token?
As of Nov 8, 2026, Sun Token had a market cap of about $298M, ranking #133 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of SUN?
Sun Token's all-time high is $66.45, reached on Sep 10, 2020. Its all-time low is $0.004623 (Nov 13, 2022). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of SUN?
As of Nov 8, 2026, about 19.21B SUN were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 19.9B.
Which blockchains is SUN on?
It has token contracts on Tron.
