What does holding FDUSD let you do?

FDUSD is a stablecoin designed to track the U.S. dollar, so holding it can give you a dollar-denominated balance on supported crypto networks. You can use it to move value between wallets, settle trades or keep funds in a stablecoin rather than another cryptocurrency. It is not the same as holding dollars in a bank account: its value depends on the issuer, reserves, redemption arrangements and the market where you trade it.

FDUSD does not automatically pay interest just because you hold it. A separate platform may offer a yield product, but that adds platform and product risks and is not a feature of the token itself. Its dollar peg is a target, not a promise that every exchange will always let you trade one FDUSD for exactly one dollar. Consider whether you need a stablecoin transfer or trading balance, and whether you can accept the risks of an issuer-backed asset.

Which chains and wallets support FDUSD?

FDUSD is issued on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, Sui, TON and Arbitrum. It is not the native coin of any of these networks; it is a token that depends on the chain it is issued on. A wallet needs to support both the relevant network and its FDUSD token before you send funds there. The same ticker on two chains does not mean the tokens are interchangeable without a supported bridge or exchange deposit route.

You can use a self-custody wallet that supports the chosen chain, or keep FDUSD with an exchange that supports deposits and withdrawals on that network. Check the network shown on both sides of a transfer, and confirm the destination accepts FDUSD on that exact network. Keep a small amount of the network’s native coin available in a self-custody wallet if that chain requires it for transaction fees. Verify token details through trusted channels before adding an asset; sending to an unsupported network or address can make funds difficult or impossible to recover.

What backs FDUSD, and can its supply change?

FDUSD’s supply can expand when tokens are issued and contract when tokens are redeemed or otherwise removed from circulation. There is no maximum supply listed. As of 2026-11-08, circulating and total supply were both about 283.8 million FDUSD. That figure can change, so treat it as a dated snapshot rather than a fixed limit. The issuer describes the token as backed by cash and cash equivalents, held in segregated accounts at a registered trust company.

The intended value is one U.S. dollar per token, but market prices can move above or below that level. FDUSD traded at about $0.997 on 2026-11-08. The issuer describes FDUSD as redeemable for equivalent U.S. dollars, but the conditions, eligibility requirements and any fees for direct redemption are not published. That means your practical route back to dollars may depend on the exchange or service you use, its terms and the market price it offers.

How can you get and store FDUSD?

People generally obtain FDUSD through a crypto exchange or by receiving it from another wallet. Availability depends on the exchange, your location, account verification and which FDUSD network the platform supports. Before sending or withdrawing, check the exchange’s deposit and withdrawal network carefully. A token credited on one chain may not appear in a wallet set to another chain.

For self-custody, use a wallet compatible with that network and protect its recovery phrase offline. Anyone who gets your recovery phrase can control the wallet; a lost phrase may leave you unable to access it. If you leave FDUSD on an exchange, the platform controls the keys and you rely on its ability to process withdrawals. Do not treat a stablecoin balance as a bank deposit or assume it has deposit insurance. For larger holdings, consider your own custody knowledge, the consequences of losing access and whether the issuer’s redemption route is available to you.

What does it cost to move FDUSD?

Sending FDUSD from a self-custody wallet usually requires a transaction fee paid to the network, commonly in that chain’s native coin. Fees vary with network activity and transaction type, so there is no single cost for moving FDUSD across all six supported chains. The project does not publish one fixed transfer fee that applies everywhere. Exchanges may also set withdrawal charges, minimums or limits of their own; check those terms before moving funds.

Moving FDUSD between chains usually requires a bridge or a service that supports deposits on one network and withdrawals on another. A bridge can add fees, delays and smart-contract or service-provider risk, and bridged tokens may not have the same issuer redemption path as native FDUSD. Avoid choosing a chain based only on a low displayed fee: first confirm that the receiving wallet or platform supports FDUSD on that network. A wrong-network transfer can be costly or unrecoverable.

What risks should FDUSD holders watch?

FDUSD carries issuer and reserve risk: the dollar peg depends on the backing assets, custody arrangements and the issuer’s ability to honor redemptions. The issuer says reserves are segregated from its operating accounts and that the token is designed to be bankruptcy remote, but those descriptions do not remove legal, operational or counterparty risk. Review current reserve disclosures and redemption terms before relying on FDUSD for funds you may need quickly.

The market price can slip below $1, and access to redemption may not be equal for every holder. You also face exchange failure or withdrawal freezes, wallet theft, lost recovery phrases, network outages, smart-contract vulnerabilities and mistakes choosing a chain or address. A bridge adds another point of failure. Stablecoins can be frozen or restricted under applicable rules or issuer controls. Do not assume that a dollar peg guarantees your balance will always be worth or redeemable for exactly one dollar.

When did FDUSD launch, and how has its peg behaved?

First Digital says it was established in 2019, while FDUSD itself launched in June 2023. The token was created as a fiat-backed stablecoin intended to maintain a one-to-one relationship with the U.S. dollar. It has since been issued across Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, Sui, TON and Arbitrum, although support for each network can differ between wallets, exchanges and redemption services.

The market record shows why a peg should not be mistaken for a guaranteed fixed price: FDUSD reached an all-time high of $1.15 on 2025-02-02 and an all-time low of $0.940377 on 2024-12-05. Those are historical observations, not forecasts or a measure of what you can redeem it for today. As of 2026-11-08, the token traded at about $0.997. Check the live market price and current issuer disclosures if you are assessing a transfer, sale or redemption.

By the numbers

First Digital USD in numbers

First Digital USD (FDUSD) is ranked #138 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $283M and a price of $0.9967 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($283M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.

The price was down 0.1% over 7 days, down 0.1% over 30 days, up 0.1% over the past year. It trades about 13% below its all-time high of $1.15, set on Feb 2, 2025.

About 283.78M FDUSD are in circulation. No hard maximum supply is listed, so new tokens can still be issued.

24-hour trading volume was about $26.1M, or 9.2% of its market cap: high turnover.

FDUSD has token contracts on 6 chains we track, including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, Sui. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
