What does holding EDGE give you?
EDGE is associated with edgeX, a decentralized trading platform for perpetual futures and spot markets across crypto, commodities and equities. Public descriptions of the token’s utility associate it with protocol fees, liquidity incentives and governance. Those labels do not by themselves tell you what benefits a holder can claim: exact fee discounts, incentive terms, voting rights and eligibility rules are not published in the project description. Holding EDGE also does not mean you own part of the exchange or have a claim on its revenue. The platform is designed for self-custodied trading, but that describes its trading model, not a guarantee about every token use or product. Before relying on EDGE for a specific benefit, check the current terms in the platform and confirm whether they apply to your wallet, location and account. Treat the token as a volatile crypto asset rather than as a stable balance or a guaranteed source of trading discounts.
Which chain and wallet can hold EDGE?
EDGE has been issued on Ethereum. edgeX also describes its trading infrastructure as powered by its own EDGE Chain, but that does not establish that the EDGE token itself is native to that chain. Before sending tokens, check the receiving wallet or platform’s supported network and confirm the token contract; sending an Ethereum token to an unsupported network or address can result in a loss. An Ethereum-compatible wallet can generally hold ERC-20 tokens, but you should verify the official EDGE contract through a trusted project channel before adding or transferring the token. A wallet’s ability to display an asset is not proof that the asset is genuine. Keep your recovery phrase offline and private, and consider a hardware wallet if you need additional protection for long-term storage. Do not share your recovery phrase with support staff or enter it into a site claiming to validate your EDGE balance.
How much EDGE exists, and what can change its value?
As of 2026-11-08, EDGE had a reported circulating supply of 350 million tokens, against a total and maximum supply of 1 billion. That leaves a difference of 650 million between circulating and maximum supply, but the schedule and conditions for releasing the remainder are not published in the project description. Future issuance or unlocks could affect the amount available to trade and the token’s market value; a maximum supply does not mean all tokens are already in circulation. On that date, EDGE traded at about $0.33, with a market capitalization of about $114.8 million and fully diluted valuation of about $328 million. These are snapshots, not fixed values. The token’s price can move independently of the platform’s use, and supply figures or market prices can change. Check current circulating supply and any announced unlocks before making decisions based on older numbers.
How can you get and store EDGE?
You can only obtain EDGE through a venue that currently supports it; available exchanges and trading pairs can change, and the project does not publish a definitive list here. If you receive EDGE on Ethereum, use an Ethereum-compatible wallet and verify the network and official token contract before accepting or sending it. For self-custody, keep your recovery phrase secure and make a small test transfer when appropriate before moving a larger balance. If you leave tokens with a trading platform, you depend on that platform to safeguard and return them. Do not mistake a token listing or a wallet display for proof that a contract is authentic. Avoid sending funds in response to unsolicited messages or promises of guaranteed returns. These are general handling steps, not a recommendation to acquire EDGE; make sure you understand the token and the platform’s terms before using either.
What does it cost to move EDGE?
Moving EDGE on Ethereum requires a network transaction, so you need ETH available to pay gas. Gas changes with network demand; edgeX does not publish a fixed Ethereum transfer fee. A trading venue may also charge a withdrawal fee or set minimum withdrawal amounts, which are separate from Ethereum gas. If you move assets between Ethereum and EDGE Chain or another network, check whether a supported bridge or withdrawal route exists, what assets it accepts, and what fees and delays apply. Do not assume that a bridge exists simply because the platform uses its own chain. Bridging adds smart-contract, network and operational risks, and an incorrect network selection can make funds difficult or impossible to recover. Confirm the destination network and address on the receiving side before approving a transfer, and review the final fee in your wallet or venue rather than relying on an old estimate.
What could go wrong with EDGE or edgeX?
EDGE combines ordinary token risks with risks from a derivatives platform. Token prices can fall sharply, and a thin or changing market can make it harder to trade at the price you expect. Perpetual futures add leverage and liquidation risk: a position can be closed automatically when margin is insufficient, and losses can happen quickly. The platform describes self-custodied trading, but you still need to understand how its contracts, collateral and settlement work before connecting a wallet. Current fees, custody details, audits and liquidation rules should be checked directly; do not assume that Circle’s backing of the project is a guarantee for EDGE holders or a protection against losses. Look for clear documentation on smart-contract audits, emergency controls, oracle design and withdrawal procedures. Never share signing keys, and be wary of unofficial token contracts, fake support accounts and promises of fixed returns.
What is known about EDGE’s history?
EDGE’s market history shows why a past price should not be treated as a guide to future value. Its recorded all-time high was about $1.54 on 2026-05-22, and its recorded all-time low was about $0.24 on 2026-07-05. As of 2026-11-08, its price was about $0.33. Those figures describe specific points in time; they do not explain why the price moved or indicate what it will do next. The project description presents edgeX as a 24/7 trading layer for global assets, with perpetuals and spot markets, and says it uses native USDC and its own EDGE Chain. The launch date and detailed token release schedule are not published in the project description. Check for current project announcements and token terms if you need to assess changes since these historical milestones.
By the numbers
edgeX in numbers
edgeX (EDGE) is ranked #242 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $115M and a price of $0.3280 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $328M, so roughly 35% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was down 4.5% over 7 days, down 9.9% over 30 days. It trades about 79% below its all-time high of $1.54, set on May 22, 2026.
About 350M EDGE are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (35% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $1.47M, or 1.3% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
EDGE has token contracts on Ethereum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
EDGE is linked to Edgex, which we cover in our Derivatives rankings. See our Edgex page for how the protocol works and how we score it.

EDGE FAQs
Is EDGE an Ethereum token?
EDGE has been issued on Ethereum. edgeX also uses its own EDGE Chain for trading infrastructure, but confirm the exact supported network before sending tokens.
What is the EDGE token used for?
Public descriptions associate EDGE with protocol fees, liquidity incentives and governance. The project description does not specify exact holder benefits or eligibility terms, so check the current platform rules before relying on a particular use.
What is EDGE’s maximum supply?
As of 2026-11-08, circulating supply was 350 million, while total and maximum supply were 1 billion. The release schedule for the remaining supply is not published in the project description.
Does it cost money to transfer EDGE?
An Ethereum transfer requires ETH for gas, and the amount varies with network demand. A venue may charge a separate withdrawal fee; edgeX does not publish a fixed transfer fee.
Is EDGE risk-free to hold or use?
Yes. EDGE can fluctuate sharply, and perpetual futures involve leverage and liquidation risk. Check the platform’s current fees, custody details, audits and liquidation rules before connecting a wallet or trading.
What is the market cap of edgeX?
