What does holding BP get you?

BP is Backpack’s ecosystem token. You can stake it on Backpack Exchange for tiered benefits that may include lower trading fees, wire-transfer discounts, higher yields, free withdrawals and other platform benefits. The exact perks depend on Backpack’s current tiers and terms, so check the requirements before staking; a benefit advertised for one account or service may not apply to yours.

BP is not the same as a deposit balance or a claim on Backpack’s business. Holding it does not by itself guarantee a yield, reduced fees or access to every Backpack product. The platform combines an exchange with a self-custody wallet, but those have different custody arrangements: assets held in an exchange account are not held in your personal wallet. If you are considering BP for a specific discount, compare the amount you would need to stake and any lock-up or withdrawal conditions with the benefit you expect to use.

Which chain and wallet can hold BP?

BP is issued on Solana. It is not listed as the native token of a blockchain, so it should not be confused with SOL, which is used for Solana network fees. Use a wallet that supports Solana tokens to hold or transfer BP, and make sure the wallet displays the correct BP asset before sending funds.

Backpack offers both a self-custody wallet and a centralized exchange. In the wallet, you control the keys; if you lose them or approve a harmful transaction, Backpack generally cannot reverse it. On the exchange, Backpack controls custody of assets held in your account, so access depends on the platform and your account. The two are not interchangeable storage methods. Confirm whether BP is supported for deposits and withdrawals in your region and on the specific product you use. Do not send BP to an address on another network unless the receiving service explicitly supports that route.

How many BP tokens exist, and what can change?

BP has a maximum and total supply of 1 billion tokens. About 250 million were circulating as of 2026-11-08, leaving a substantial portion outside the reported circulating supply. The project’s token supply figures do not by themselves show when or how remaining tokens may enter circulation. Backpack has not published a release schedule in the facts available for this guide, so do not assume the uncirculated amount is locked permanently or will be distributed on a particular timetable.

As of 2026-11-08, BP traded at about $0.90, with a market capitalization of roughly $225.5 million and fully diluted valuation of about $901.9 million. These are snapshots, not stable values. The token’s reported all-time high was $1.65 on 2026-10-01 and its all-time low was about $0.12 on 2026-05-25. A large gap between circulating and total supply can affect how you assess dilution risk, but neither figure predicts future prices.

How can you get and store BP?

You can generally obtain BP through a crypto exchange that lists it, or receive it from another holder. Backpack announced an initial token distribution that included an airdrop, but eligibility for that event does not mean you can claim tokens now. Availability, fees and account requirements vary by platform and location. Check the token name, symbol and Solana network carefully; a lookalike asset can use the same ticker.

For self-custody, use a wallet that supports Solana assets, back up its recovery phrase offline and keep that phrase private. Test an unfamiliar destination with a small transfer when appropriate. For exchange custody, secure your account with strong authentication and review withdrawal controls, but remember that the platform holds the assets. Before moving BP to Backpack Exchange, confirm whether deposits are enabled for your account and whether staking benefits require a separate action. Never share a recovery phrase or sign a transaction you do not understand.

What does it cost to move BP?

A BP transfer on Solana requires network fees, normally paid in SOL rather than BP. The amount varies with network conditions and wallet or exchange policies; Backpack’s current withdrawal charge is not specified here, so check the amount shown before confirming a withdrawal. Exchange trading fees are separate from blockchain fees, and BP staking may change some trading costs only under the platform’s current benefit terms.

Moving BP between Solana wallets does not ordinarily require a bridge. If you encounter a wrapped or bridged BP representation on another network, that adds bridge-specific costs and risks, including smart-contract, liquidity and destination-support risks. Do not bridge simply because an address or token has the same name. Verify that both the bridge and receiving service support the exact asset and route. Transactions on a blockchain are usually difficult or impossible to reverse, so check the network, address and amount before signing.

What risks should BP holders check?

BP carries both token and platform risks. Its price can move sharply, and the circulating supply is only a quarter of its 1 billion total supply as of 2026-11-08; future changes to circulation could affect market conditions. The token’s staking perks also depend on Backpack’s rules, which can change, and benefits do not remove the risk of losing value.

Keep custody risk in view. Exchange-held assets depend on Backpack maintaining access to withdrawals and protecting its systems; self-custody avoids that particular reliance but puts key security and transaction mistakes on you. Solana transfers can be irreversible, and counterfeit tokens or phishing messages may imitate BP or Backpack. Confirm token details through trusted wallet or exchange interfaces, review staking lock-ups and withdrawal terms, and check whether any smart-contract audit information is available before interacting with a contract. Do not treat a token benefit as a guarantee of profit or a substitute for checking the risks of the service.

When did BP launch, and what happened at launch?

Backpack launched BP on Solana on 2026-03-23, with a total supply of 1 billion tokens. The launch announcement described an initial distribution of around 25% of supply, primarily as an airdrop to existing users. That allocation is consistent with the reported 250 million circulating tokens as of 2026-11-08, but the circulating figure can change over time.

The project is an integrated crypto wallet and exchange, and BP is presented as a utility token for platform benefits such as staking tiers. Those uses are separate from broader plans or products that Backpack may discuss: owning BP does not automatically give you rights to other assets or services. The token’s reported all-time high and low—about $1.65 on 2026-10-01 and $0.12 on 2026-05-25—also show how much its market price has varied since launch. Treat launch allocations, token perks and price history as context, not promises about future utility or value.

By the numbers

Backpack in numbers

Backpack (BP) is ranked #149 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $225M and a price of $0.9019 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $902M, so roughly 25% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.

The price was down 3.3% over 7 days, down 21.2% over 30 days. It trades about 45% below its all-time high of $1.65, set on Oct 1, 2026.

About 250M BP are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (25% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $2.31M, or 1.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

BP has token contracts on Solana. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
