What does holding MET get you?
MET is Meteora’s ecosystem token, while Meteora itself is a Solana-based decentralized exchange and liquidity protocol. The protocol offers swaps and liquidity pools; MET is described as supporting governance, staking rewards, fee distribution and liquidity incentives. Those uses are different from simply holding the token: access to a vote, reward or fee share depends on the applicable rules and any required actions, such as staking. Check the current terms and transaction details before committing MET or other assets.
MET is not the same thing as a pool position. Providing liquidity means depositing assets into a pool and taking on risks such as changing token prices and smart-contract failures. Holding MET alone does not mean you have deposited into a pool or earned trading fees. If you only want exposure to the token, you can hold it in a compatible wallet; if you want to use Meteora’s DeFi features, review the specific pool or feature separately.
Which network and wallet can hold MET?
MET is issued on Solana. The token facts identify no other chain where it is issued, so verify the network shown by your wallet or exchange before sending it. A token with the same name or ticker on another network may not be the same asset. MET is not listed as a native token of a blockchain; Solana’s native asset is SOL.
To hold MET yourself, use a wallet that supports Solana tokens and keep control of its recovery phrase offline. A self-custody wallet gives you control of the keys, but also makes you responsible for backups and transaction approvals. If you keep MET with a custodial service, that provider controls the keys and its withdrawal rules apply. For any transfer, confirm the receiving address and network, and consider a small test transfer when appropriate. Never share your recovery phrase or approve a wallet request you do not understand.
How much MET exists, and what can move its value?
MET has a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens. As of November 8, 2026, about 565 million were circulating and roughly 998 million were reported as total supply. Circulating supply is the portion counted as available in the market; total supply includes tokens that may not be circulating. The gap matters because tokens entering circulation can change the available supply. The figures do not, by themselves, show when or how quickly that may happen.
On that date, MET’s market price was about $0.32, with a market capitalization of about $182 million and fully diluted valuation of about $322 million. These are snapshots, not fixed values. MET was about 14% higher over the prior week and about 15% lower over the prior year as of that date. Supply changes, trading activity and market sentiment can all affect price and valuation. None of these figures indicates what MET will be worth later.
How do people get and store MET?
People generally obtain MET through a crypto exchange that supports the token, or through a decentralized exchange on Solana. Availability and withdrawal options vary by service and location. Before sending funds, check that the service supports MET on Solana and review its deposit, withdrawal and trading terms. A token swap may involve a quoted exchange rate, price impact and a platform fee; the final amount can differ from an initial estimate.
For self-custody, receive MET at a Solana-compatible wallet address and keep the recovery phrase private and securely backed up. If using an exchange account, check how withdrawals are protected and whether you can move the token to a personal wallet. Do not rely on ticker alone when checking an asset: confirm the correct token and network in the service or wallet you use. This is general information, not a recommendation to buy or sell MET.
What does it cost to move or use MET?
Moving MET on Solana requires a network transaction, and Solana transaction fees are generally paid in SOL rather than MET. The fee can vary with network conditions and the action you take. Swapping tokens or interacting with a liquidity pool may also involve a protocol fee, price impact or other pool-specific costs. Check the transaction preview and the pool’s fee terms before approving; a displayed network fee is not necessarily the full cost of a DeFi action.
A bridge transfer adds another layer: it can involve fees on the sending network, bridge charges and fees on the destination network. The token facts identify Solana as MET’s issued chain but do not establish a particular bridge or its current costs. Do not assume a wrapped or bridged MET token is interchangeable with native Solana MET in every service. Confirm the destination network and asset support first, and account for the possibility of delays or a failed transfer.
What could go wrong with MET or Meteora?
Using MET or Meteora’s pools involves risks beyond ordinary price changes. A Solana transaction is generally irreversible once confirmed, so a wrong address or unsupported network can cause a loss. DeFi interactions add smart-contract risk: a bug, exploit or unexpected contract behavior could affect deposited assets. Liquidity providers can also face losses when pool prices move relative to simply holding the deposited tokens. MET itself can be volatile, and a market price or valuation snapshot does not guarantee you can trade at that value.
Before connecting a wallet, check the app address through a trusted channel, review the permissions requested and read the pool’s rules. Avoid signing transactions you cannot interpret, and do not deposit money you cannot afford to lose. Be cautious of unsolicited messages, fake support accounts and promises of guaranteed yield or returns. Keep your wallet recovery phrase offline; legitimate support should not need it. A displayed reward rate is not a guarantee that rewards will continue or outweigh costs and losses.
When did MET launch, and what is its price history?
Meteora’s MET token generation event took place in October 2025, according to published launch coverage. The token facts do not specify a separate project launch date. As of November 8, 2026, MET’s recorded all-time high was about $0.69 on October 23, 2025, and its recorded all-time low was about $0.09 on June 6, 2026. Past highs and lows are historical reference points, not forecasts or support levels.
If you are assessing MET today, focus on what the token currently allows you to do, how its supply is changing and which protocol rules apply to any governance, staking or fee-related use. Check current market and pool information directly before acting, since prices, available liquidity and transaction costs can change quickly. A token’s connection to an operating DeFi protocol does not remove the risks of token volatility, contract failures or loss of access to a wallet.
By the numbers
Meteora in numbers
Meteora (MET) is ranked #177 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $182M and a price of $0.3223 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $322M, so roughly 57% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was up 14.3% over 7 days, down 26.9% over 30 days, down 14.9% over the past year. It trades about 53% below its all-time high of $0.6869, set on Oct 23, 2025.
About 565.02M MET are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (57% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $55.2M, or 30% of its market cap: very high turnover.
MET has token contracts on Solana. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

MET FAQs
What blockchain is MET on?
MET is issued on Solana. The token facts identify no other issuance network, so confirm Solana is selected before sending or receiving it.
What is the MET token used for?
MET is described as supporting governance, staking rewards, fee distribution and liquidity incentives. The exact requirements and benefits depend on the applicable protocol rules; holding MET alone does not make you a liquidity provider.
What is MET’s maximum supply?
The maximum supply is 1 billion MET. About 565 million were circulating and roughly 998 million were total supply as of November 8, 2026; those figures can change.
Do you need SOL to send MET?
Solana transaction fees are generally paid in SOL, not MET. Swaps, pool interactions and bridge transfers can add separate costs, so check the transaction preview and relevant service terms.
What was MET’s all-time high?
MET’s recorded all-time high was about $0.69 on October 23, 2025, and its recorded all-time low was about $0.09 on June 6, 2026. These are historical prices, not indications of future value.

As of Nov 8, 2026, about 565.02M MET were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 1B.
Which blockchains is MET on?
It has token contracts on Solana.
