What does holding ORCA let you do?
ORCA is Orca’s token on Solana. The project is a decentralized exchange where you can swap Solana tokens or add tokens to liquidity pools; ORCA itself is not required simply to hold or use a wallet. ORCA is described as a governance token, giving holders a way to participate in Orca DAO decisions. That does not make it a share in a company or guarantee income.
The distinction matters if you are weighing what to do with your tokens: holding ORCA is different from depositing assets into a pool. Pool deposits expose you to trading-related risks such as changing token prices and impermanent loss. Governance participation also depends on proposals and voting rules, which can change. Check the current Orca interface and governance materials before relying on a particular token benefit.
Which wallets and chains support ORCA?
ORCA is issued on Solana, where it is a Solana token (an SPL token). The project description identifies Solana as its chain; it does not establish other official ORCA deployments. If you see an ORCA token on another network, verify its legitimacy and how it is connected to the Solana token before sending funds.
You can store ORCA in a self-custody wallet that supports Solana tokens, or leave it with a crypto exchange that lists it. With self-custody, you control the recovery phrase and are responsible for keeping it private. A wrong address, lost recovery phrase or malicious wallet approval can result in permanent loss. With exchange custody, the exchange controls the keys and may set its own withdrawal rules. Before transferring, confirm the token and network shown by both the sending and receiving wallet; a matching token name or symbol alone is not enough.
How much ORCA exists, and what can move its value?
ORCA has a maximum supply of 100 million tokens. As of 2026-11-08, about 60.8 million were circulating and the reported total supply was about 75.0 million. The difference between circulating and total supply means some tokens were not counted as circulating at that snapshot; the figures can change over time.
Supply is only one influence on ORCA’s market value. Demand may respond to Orca’s use for swaps and liquidity, governance activity, broader interest in Solana and crypto-market conditions. Trading activity and investor expectations can also move the price, sometimes sharply. As of 2026-11-08, ORCA was about $1.36, but that is a dated snapshot, not a current quote or an indication of future value. Check a live market source before making any decision that depends on price.
How do people get and store ORCA?
People generally obtain ORCA by swapping for it on a crypto exchange or through a service that supports Solana tokens. Availability, identity checks, deposit methods and withdrawal rules vary by platform and location, so check those terms before transferring funds. You can also receive ORCA from another person, but confirm the token and network first.
For self-custody, use a wallet that supports Solana tokens and keep your recovery phrase offline and private. Do not share it with a support agent or enter it into a site reached through an unsolicited message. If you keep ORCA on an exchange, review its custody and withdrawal policies. A small test transfer can help check that an address and network are correct, though it does not remove the risks of sending to the wrong destination or interacting with a fraudulent token.
What does it cost to move or swap ORCA?
Sending ORCA on Solana requires a network transaction fee, paid separately from the token. The fee can vary with network conditions and transaction settings; check the wallet’s confirmation screen before approving. A swap can also involve Orca’s pool fee and price impact, which depend on the pool and trade. Orca does not publish one fixed fee that applies to every swap, so inspect the quote and transaction details each time.
Moving ORCA between an exchange and a wallet may also involve an exchange withdrawal charge or processing limits. If you use a bridge to move value between networks, you may face bridge fees, network fees on one or both chains, exchange-rate effects and added smart-contract risk. The facts here do not establish an official ORCA deployment beyond Solana. Do not assume that a bridge or token with the same ticker is endorsed by Orca; verify the route and destination token before proceeding.
What could go wrong if you hold or use ORCA?
ORCA’s main risks include token-price volatility, smart-contract vulnerabilities and mistakes when signing wallet transactions. If you provide liquidity, token prices can shift relative to each other, leaving you with a different balance than if you had simply held the tokens. Pool returns, when available, are not guaranteed and can be outweighed by losses or fees.
ORCA also depends on activity and confidence in the Orca protocol and Solana ecosystem. A governance token does not guarantee that holders can control every decision or that proposals will benefit the token’s market value. Check what a wallet transaction will do before approving it, and be cautious with unfamiliar pools, tokens and sites. Orca’s audit status is not specified here, so do not treat the platform as risk-free or infer that a review eliminates the possibility of a bug or exploit. Only commit funds you can afford to lose.
What is ORCA’s history, and why does it matter?
Orca is described as one of the first general-purpose automated market makers on Solana, and search information places its launch in 2021. Its exchange tools let users swap tokens and supply liquidity through Solana wallets. ORCA’s market history shows how far the token can move: its reported all-time high was $20.33 on 2021-10-02, while its all-time low was about $0.35 on 2022-06-19. Past extremes do not establish what it may do next.
As of 2026-11-08, the reported circulating supply was about 60.8 million against a 100 million maximum. That snapshot, like the historical prices, can become outdated. If you are assessing ORCA, separate the token’s governance role from the exchange’s practical use, and check current supply, market activity, pool terms and transaction details rather than relying on old figures.

Orca (ORCA) is ranked #298 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $82.4M and a price of $1.36 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $102M, so roughly 81% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was down 11.4% over 7 days, down 45.0% over 30 days, down 9.2% over the past year. It trades about 93% below its all-time high of $20.33, set on Oct 2, 2021.
About 60.8M ORCA are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 100M (61% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $6.99M, or 8.5% of its market cap: high turnover.
ORCA has token contracts on Solana. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
