What does MNGO let you do?
MNGO is the governance token associated with Mango Markets, a decentralized finance platform built on Solana. The token is not SOL, and it does not pay Solana transaction fees. Mango Markets was designed to offer spot trading, lending and borrowing, margin trading, and perpetual markets; its published description includes margin trading with up to 10x leverage. That describes the platform’s intended services, not a guarantee that they are currently available or safe to use.
Mango has been described as governed by a DAO. In practice, governance tokens may let holders vote on proposals, but do not assume MNGO currently gives you an active vote or other working benefit. Check whether Mango governance is operating and whether proposals are being considered before valuing the token for that purpose. If you hold MNGO only for platform access, verify that the relevant feature is live before sending tokens or connecting a wallet.
Which network and wallet support MNGO?
MNGO has been issued on Solana; it is not a native token of its own blockchain. To hold or transfer it, use a wallet that supports Solana tokens, commonly called SPL tokens. You will generally need SOL in that wallet to pay Solana network fees, which are separate from any exchange or trading charges.
Before depositing MNGO at an exchange or interacting with a decentralized exchange, confirm that the service supports the Solana version of the token. Check the token name and mint address against a trusted project channel or the service’s own verified asset information. A matching ticker alone is not enough to identify a token: unrelated assets can use the same symbol. If you withdraw from an exchange, select Solana as the network only when the receiving wallet or service supports that network. Transfers to an incompatible network or address can be difficult or impossible to recover.
How much MNGO exists, and how liquid is it?
MNGO has a maximum and total supply of 5 billion tokens. About 1.12 billion were circulating as of 2026-11-08. The difference between circulating and maximum supply matters: tokens not currently circulating may enter the market later, although the timing and distribution schedule are not specified here. Do not assume the full supply is permanently locked or that future releases will have no effect on trading.
As of 2026-11-08, MNGO’s reported market capitalization was about $36.9 million and its fully diluted valuation was about $165.2 million. Reported 24-hour trading volume was about $619 on that date. These are snapshots, not fixed properties of the token. In particular, low reported volume can make it harder to trade at a price close to the displayed quote, especially for larger orders. Check current market depth and available trading venues before relying on a quoted price.
What should you check before using Mango Markets?
Mango’s current platform status and safety details are unclear, so treat older descriptions of its trading and lending features as historical or intended functionality until you verify that they are operating. This matters especially if you are considering deposits, collateral, or leveraged positions: a token’s market availability does not prove that its associated protocol is functioning normally. Mango has also faced US regulatory scrutiny; check current legal and regulatory developments rather than assuming the token or platform has a particular status in your jurisdiction.
Leverage can magnify losses as well as gains, and positions may be liquidated if collateral falls below required levels. DeFi users also face smart-contract, oracle, liquidity, and governance risks. Do not deposit funds you cannot afford to lose, and avoid connecting a wallet to a site or signing a transaction unless you have independently verified what it will do. If a service asks you to approve token spending, review the amount and permissions before proceeding.
How can you store MNGO more safely?
For self-custody, keep MNGO in a Solana-compatible wallet you control, and store the recovery phrase offline in a secure place. Never share that phrase or enter it into a website claiming to offer support, unlock tokens, or restore access. A hardware wallet can keep signing keys apart from an internet-connected device, but it cannot make a risky protocol or mistaken transaction safe.
Check the recipient address and network before every transfer. For a new wallet or service, consider a small test transfer first, while remembering that it still carries fees and may not be recoverable if sent incorrectly. Keep enough SOL for network fees. Watch for fake token listings, impersonation, malicious wallet prompts, and approvals that grant more access than you intended. If you use a custodial exchange, review its withdrawal rules and account protections; the exchange, rather than your wallet, controls the keys while your tokens remain there.
