What does holding XYO give you?

XYO is an Ethereum-issued token connected to a project that collects and verifies real-world data, including its origin and location. The project describes XYO as supporting ecosystem rewards, staking and governance. It also develops XYO Layer One and tools for using verified data in applications such as AI, robotics and Web3.

Keep the two tokens distinct: XYO is the externally traded ecosystem token, while XL1 is used within XYO Layer One for transactions and gas fees. Holding XYO does not by itself mean you operate a data node, receive rewards or have a particular governance right. Check the current rules for any staking or voting feature before committing tokens; reward rates, lockups and eligibility can change. Treat the token’s practical value as dependent on whether people use the network and its services, not just on the project’s stated aims.

Which chain and wallet should you use for XYO?

XYO is issued on Ethereum as an ERC-20 token; it is not listed as a native token of a separate chain. You can hold it in a wallet that supports Ethereum and ERC-20 assets, or use an exchange that lists XYO. Coinbase and Revolut are named as venues, but listings and availability can vary by country and account.

Before sending XYO, check that the receiving wallet or exchange supports deposits of the Ethereum version of the token. Select the correct network, and confirm the token and destination address through the service you are using. Sending an ERC-20 token to an incompatible network or address can make it difficult or impossible to recover. The project’s separate XL1 token is used for fees on XYO Layer One; do not assume that an Ethereum wallet balance of XYO will pay those fees.

How much XYO exists, and is there a maximum?

As of 2026-11-08, about 13.93 billion XYO were reported in circulation, matching the reported total supply. No maximum supply is published in these figures, so you should not assume there is a fixed cap. Supply can also change if the project’s token rules permit new issuance or other changes; check current project documentation before relying on a supply claim.

A large token count does not tell you what one XYO should be worth. Market price and market capitalization move, and a supply figure alone says nothing about demand, liquidity or your ability to sell at a particular price. If you track your holdings, use a current portfolio or exchange balance and remember that displayed values can differ across platforms. Avoid treating a past high or a supply-based valuation as a forecast.

How can you store XYO safely, and what can go wrong?

For self-custody, keep XYO in an Ethereum-compatible wallet whose recovery phrase you control. Back up the phrase offline, keep it private and never enter it into a site or message that claims it must verify, unlock or migrate your tokens. A hardware wallet can keep signing keys offline, though you still need to verify transaction details on its screen.

Before approving a transaction, check the network, recipient and token amount. Be cautious with unexpected airdrops, fake staking offers and requests to connect your wallet; a malicious approval can let a contract move tokens. Exchange custody avoids managing a recovery phrase but leaves access dependent on the platform and your account security.

XYO also carries ordinary crypto risks: its price can fall sharply, trading may be thin, and token utility or network adoption may not meet expectations. Ethereum congestion, wallet mistakes, contract vulnerabilities, or confusion between XYO and XL1 can also cause losses. Never commit funds you cannot afford to lose.
