What can you use iExec RLC for?
RLC is the token associated with iExec, a project whose tools support applications using protected data and confidential processing. iExec’s stated aim is to give users control over their data and how it is accessed. RLC has also been described as a token used to reward users in the platform’s ecosystem.
For you as a holder, that does not mean simply keeping RLC in a wallet earns a return. Check the exact token requirements and terms of any iExec application before connecting a wallet or committing tokens. Token utility can depend on the service and may change as the project develops.
RLC is not a share in iExec and does not give you ownership of its business or a guaranteed claim on revenue. Its value can move independently of how useful the project’s tools are. Treat it as a crypto asset with both technology and market risk, rather than assuming that project activity will translate into gains for holders.
Which networks and wallets can hold RLC?
RLC is issued on Ethereum and Arbitrum; it is not listed as the native token of either chain. When receiving or sending it, make sure the wallet, exchange and destination all support RLC on the same network. A transfer to an address or service that does not support the selected network may be difficult or impossible to recover.
A self-custody wallet that supports the relevant network and the RLC token standard can hold it. For Ethereum, check that the wallet supports ERC-20 assets; for Arbitrum, confirm explicit Arbitrum support. Do not rely on a token name or ticker alone when adding an asset: verify the contract address through a trusted iExec channel and compare it with the network you intend to use.
If you move RLC between networks, check whether the route uses a bridge and understand its separate smart-contract and operator risks. A balance shown on one chain is not automatically available on another. Exchanges may also support withdrawals on only some networks, so review the network selection before confirming a transaction.
How many RLC tokens exist, and what does that tell you?
RLC has a maximum supply of about 87 million tokens. The reported circulating, total and maximum supplies are all approximately 87 million, so no additional amount is indicated beyond that cap. Supply figures can still be presented differently across services, and a token’s maximum supply does not tell you how much is readily available to trade.
For a dated market reference, RLC was about $0.43 per token, with a market capitalization of about $37.5 million, on 2026-11-08. These figures change continually; they are not a current quote or a forecast. Market capitalization is calculated using price and circulating supply, so it can rise or fall even if the token count stays unchanged.
Before making a decision, check the live price, circulating supply and trading activity on a service you trust. Low or changing liquidity can make it harder to trade at the price you expect. A capped supply does not guarantee demand, price stability or future value.
How do you store RLC, and what can go wrong?
For longer-term storage, use a wallet that supports RLC on the network where your tokens are held. Keep your recovery phrase offline, private and backed up in a secure place; anyone who obtains it can control the wallet. Never share it with someone claiming they need it to verify, unlock or recover your RLC. A hardware wallet can keep signing keys offline, but you still need to check the network and transaction details on its screen.
Before sending tokens, test the recipient address and network carefully. Be wary of fake RLC tokens, impersonation messages and sites that ask you to connect a wallet or approve an unfamiliar contract. A token approval can allow a contract to move assets, so review and revoke permissions you no longer need using a trusted wallet tool.
RLC carries market risk, and using applications or moving tokens across networks adds smart-contract, bridge and user-error risks. A wallet protects access to keys; it does not protect the token’s price or guarantee that a transaction can be reversed.
