## What does holding API3 let you do?
API3 is used in a project that supplies data feeds to decentralized applications and curates lending markets on Morpho. Its first-party oracles deliver price feeds signed by the API providers that produce the data. Its OEV mechanism is designed to recover value released when a price update affects a market and return it to protocols using the feed. API3 also builds tools for AI agents to find and pay for APIs.
Holding the API3 token is not the same as using those services. The token’s stated governance role is voting on proposals through Snapshot, with one token counting as one vote. A project proposal in 2026 ended staking emissions, so don’t assume you can earn staking rewards by holding API3. The project also says business revenue is used to buy API3 on the market monthly; that does not guarantee a particular price or return.
## Which network and wallet should you use?
API3 is issued on Ethereum, and the token is not listed as native to a separate blockchain. If you hold it, check that your wallet and the exchange you use support API3 on Ethereum before sending funds. A token sent using an unsupported network may not arrive in a form you can access.
A self-custody wallet that supports Ethereum tokens can hold API3. For a transfer, confirm the network and token contract in the wallet or exchange interface, then verify the receiving address and any withdrawal details before approving. Exchange balances are held by the exchange rather than in a wallet you control, so check its custody and withdrawal terms. The oracle feeds and lending markets can operate across several networks, but that does not mean API3 itself is issued on each of them. Don’t bridge or wrap the token unless you understand which asset and network you would receive.
## How much API3 exists, and can more be minted?
API3 has a fixed maximum supply of 200 million tokens. As of 2026-11-08, about 164.3 million were circulating, while total supply was 200 million. The project says a 2026 proposal ended staking emissions, removed the ability to mint more tokens, and transferred ownership of the token contract to the dead address. Treat the fixed-supply claim as a token-contract detail, not a promise about market value.
The token’s market price can still move with demand, trading conditions and project risks. As of 2026-11-08, API3 traded at about $0.23, with a market capitalization of about $38.5 million; both figures change over time. The project says business revenue buys API3 on the market monthly, but buybacks do not guarantee that the price will rise or offset losses. Check current supply and market figures before making decisions, and don’t rely on past prices as a forecast.
## What could go wrong when you hold or use API3?
If you keep API3 in self-custody, protect the wallet’s recovery phrase offline and never share it with someone claiming they need it to release tokens or rewards. Use a hardware wallet for larger holdings if you can manage its backup safely. Check the network and recipient address before every transfer; blockchain transactions are generally difficult to reverse.
API3’s risks go beyond wallet theft. Oracle data or delivery can fail, and a price feed that is wrong, delayed or unavailable can affect applications relying on it. Lending markets carry smart-contract, collateral and liquidation risks, while OEV recovery and revenue-funded token purchases are not guaranteed to benefit holders. Governance also gives voting weight according to token holdings, so concentrated ownership can influence decisions. Review the specific application and network before interacting, and never approve a transaction you don’t understand. API3’s services and its token are distinct: a service’s use does not ensure demand for API3.
By the numbers
Api3 in numbers
Api3 (API3) is ranked #529 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $38.5M and a price of $0.2343 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $46.9M, so roughly 82% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was down 0.8% over 7 days, down 20.3% over 30 days, down 64.0% over the past year. It trades about 98% below its all-time high of $10.30, set on Apr 6, 2021.
About 164.32M API3 are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 200M (82% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $6.96M, or 18% of its market cap: high turnover.
API3 has token contracts on Ethereum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

API3 FAQs
What blockchain is API3 on?
API3 is issued on Ethereum. Check that your wallet or exchange supports the Ethereum version before depositing or withdrawing, and do not assume that feeds operating on other networks mean the token is issued there too.
What is the API3 token used for?
API3’s stated role includes governance through Snapshot, where one token counts as one vote. The project says staking emissions ended in 2026, so don’t assume holding API3 currently earns staking rewards.
What is API3’s maximum supply?
The maximum supply is 200 million API3. About 164.3 million were circulating as of 2026-11-08, and the project says a 2026 proposal removed the ability to mint more tokens.
How do you store API3 safely?
A self-custody wallet that supports Ethereum tokens can hold API3. Keep your recovery phrase private and backed up offline, and verify the network and recipient address before sending.
Does API3 pay staking rewards or guarantee returns?
API3 does not guarantee a return to holders. Oracle failures, smart-contract vulnerabilities, lending-market liquidations, governance concentration and changing market demand can all create risks.
What is the market cap of Api3?
As of Nov 8, 2026, Api3 had a market cap of about $38.5M, ranking #529 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of API3?
Api3's all-time high is $10.30, reached on Apr 6, 2021. Its all-time low is $0.1837 (Aug 14, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of API3?
As of Nov 8, 2026, about 164.32M API3 were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 200M.
Which blockchains is API3 on?
It has token contracts on Ethereum.
