What does holding CX actually get you?

CX is associated with Cortex, a project building tools for on-chain agents. Cortex describes a trading agent for researching coins, trading and deploying to blockchains through a language-model interface. It also describes a platform where developers can deploy task-specific agents with on-chain capabilities, and says it is building Hypercall, an on-chain options product on Hyperliquid.

Those product plans do not, by themselves, explain what holding CX does. Cortex does not publish a specific CX role such as paying agent fees, granting governance rights or earning staking rewards. Don’t assume you need CX to use a Cortex product—or that holding it entitles you to product access or revenue—unless the project clearly confirms that. If you’re considering CX, check the token’s stated utility and any relevant product terms before treating it as more than a tradable token.

Which networks and wallets can hold CX?

CX is issued on Ethereum, Optimism, Base, Avalanche, BNB Chain, Solana and Arbitrum. No native chain is identified for the token, so don’t assume every version is interchangeable or that sending it between networks is automatic.

Before receiving or transferring CX, confirm the exact network and token contract with the project or the exchange you’re using. Then check that your wallet supports that network and can display the correct token. A wallet address may look similar across networks, but sending to the wrong network or an unsupported address can make funds difficult or impossible to recover. If you withdraw from an exchange, choose the same network on both the exchange and your wallet, and consider a small test transfer first. Don’t rely on a token name or ticker alone: another asset can use the same name or symbol.

How much CX exists, and what can supply tell you?

CX has a maximum supply of 1,646,590,000 tokens. About 1.52 billion were circulating as of 2026-11-08, so the circulating amount was below the stated cap. The difference between circulating and total supply can matter if more tokens enter circulation, but these figures do not tell you when or how that might happen.

The price was about $0.0258 on 2026-11-08. That is a dated snapshot, not a current quote or a guide to future value; crypto prices can move quickly. A circulating-supply figure also doesn’t tell you how easily you can trade a large amount. Check current liquidity and the specific exchange’s trading conditions before placing an order. Supply limits and market data are not guarantees of demand, price stability or the ability to sell at a particular price.

How can you store CX without avoidable mistakes?

For self-custody, use a wallet that supports the network on which your CX is held. Keep your recovery phrase offline and private: anyone who gets it may be able to control the wallet. Don’t enter it into a website, share it with someone claiming to offer support, or store it in an unprotected message or cloud document. A hardware wallet can reduce exposure to online theft, but you still need to verify transaction details on the device.

If you use an exchange, the exchange controls the wallet keys and your access depends on its account security and withdrawal policies. Enable available account protections and check that the exchange supports CX withdrawals on your intended network. For either custody method, verify the recipient address and network before confirming a transfer. Sending a test amount first can help catch a network or address mistake, though it does not remove the risk of a bad transaction.

What could go wrong with CX or Cortex’s agent products?

CX carries the usual risks of a crypto token: its market price can fall sharply, trading can be thin, and you may not be able to sell at the price you expect. Agent products add other points to consider. An agent that trades or interacts with blockchains can make costly mistakes, and transactions confirmed on a blockchain are generally difficult to reverse. Treat any permissions, wallet connections or transaction approvals as separate risks from simply holding the token.

Cortex’s plans for agents and Hypercall are not guarantees that products will work as intended or that CX will gain a particular use. Review product documentation before connecting a wallet, limit permissions where possible, and never approve a transaction you don’t understand. Check whether a product has published independent security audits and what risks those audits cover; an audit cannot eliminate all vulnerabilities. Don’t put funds at risk that you cannot afford to lose.

By the numbers

Cortex in numbers

Cortex (CX) is ranked #523 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $39.3M and a price of $0.0258 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $42.5M, so roughly 93% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.

The price was down 10.1% over 7 days, down 23.3% over 30 days, up 97.1% over the past year. It trades about 85% below its all-time high of $0.1689, set on Jun 29, 2026.

About 1.52B CX are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1.65B (93% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $16.0K, or 0.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

CX has token contracts on 7 chains we track, including Ethereum, Optimism, Base, Avalanche. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

CX FAQs

Does CX give holders access to Cortex products?

Cortex describes a trading agent, a platform for task-specific agents and the Hypercall on-chain options product it is building. It does not specify a concrete benefit that CX holders receive, so don’t assume token ownership grants access, rewards or governance rights.

What is the maximum supply of CX?

The stated maximum supply is 1,646,590,000 CX, with about 1.52 billion circulating as of 2026-11-08. Circulating supply can change, so check a current figure before relying on it.

Which networks support CX?

CX is issued on Ethereum, Optimism, Base, Avalanche, BNB Chain, Solana and Arbitrum. Confirm the exact token contract and network before using a wallet or making a transfer.

Is CX the same as CTXC?

Don’t assume CX and CTXC are the same asset: the symbols differ, and similarly named tokens can belong to separate projects. Verify the project identity, network and contract address before buying or sending either one.

Is CX a guaranteed investment?

No. The price of CX can rise or fall, and the token’s stated supply does not guarantee demand or a particular resale price. Treat any dated price as a snapshot rather than a forecast.

What is the market cap of Cortex?

As of Nov 8, 2026, Cortex had a market cap of about $39.3M, ranking #523 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.

What is the all-time high of CX?

Cortex's all-time high is $0.1689, reached on Jun 29, 2026. Its all-time low is $0.002704 (Dec 31, 2025). Past prices say nothing about future returns.

What is the circulating supply of CX?

As of Nov 8, 2026, about 1.52B CX were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 1.65B.

Which blockchains is CX on?

It has token contracts on Ethereum, Optimism, Base, Avalanche, BNB Chain, Solana, Arbitrum.
