## What does holding TRAC let you do?
TRAC is the utility token associated with OriginTrail’s Decentralized Knowledge Graph, a network for organizing and verifying knowledge assets used by people, businesses and AI systems. You may encounter it in connection with protocol traffic and transactions, and with node operators that help provide network services. OriginTrail also describes delegated staking: TRAC holders can lock tokens with selected nodes and may receive a share of node rewards. Those rewards depend on the node and the current staking terms; they are not guaranteed income.
Holding TRAC does not by itself give you ownership of a company, a claim on project revenue, or a right to use every OriginTrail service for free. The project’s broader goal is to make information and real-world assets more discoverable and verifiable for AI. Before relying on a particular application, check whether it actually requires TRAC, how much it requires, and whether the token is used for fees, staking or another function in that service.
## Which chains and wallets can hold TRAC?
TRAC is issued on Ethereum and Base. It is not identified as the native token of either network: ETH is used for Ethereum gas and ETH is also used for gas on Base. OriginTrail’s ecosystem also refers to NeuroWeb, but do not assume that a TRAC balance on Ethereum or Base automatically works there. Confirm the supported network and token contract for the specific application before sending funds.
For self-custody, use an EVM-compatible wallet that supports the relevant network, then check that you have selected Ethereum or Base and that the token contract is correct. A token may not appear in a wallet until you add or import it. Never send TRAC to an address on a different network merely because the address format looks familiar. Exchanges may custody TRAC for you, but their supported networks and withdrawal options vary. Confirm the network shown at both ends of a transfer; a withdrawal on one network cannot necessarily be recovered if the destination expects another.
## How much TRAC exists, and what can move its value?
TRAC has a maximum and total supply of 500 million tokens. About 447.3 million were circulating as of 2026-11-08, roughly 89.5% of the maximum. The remaining difference is not necessarily available to trade immediately. Circulating supply can change as tokens enter or leave circulation, while the maximum supply is the stated cap rather than a forecast of market value.
Token supply is only one factor in what you can do with TRAC. Demand may be affected by use of OriginTrail services, protocol fees and staking activity, while broader crypto-market conditions can move the price regardless of network activity. TRAC reached an all-time high of about $3.50 on 2021-11-03 and an all-time low of about $0.00385 on 2020-03-12; those historical points do not indicate what it will be worth next. Check current circulating supply and market data before making decisions, since both price and reported supply can change.
## How can you get TRAC and keep it securely?
People generally obtain TRAC through crypto exchanges that list it or by receiving it from another holder. Availability, identity checks, deposit methods and withdrawal networks depend on the provider and your location. This is general information, not a recommendation to buy. Before accepting TRAC, check whether you can move it to a wallet or service that supports the same network you plan to use.
For self-custody, keep the wallet’s recovery phrase offline and private. Anyone who gets that phrase can control the assets, and a wallet provider cannot usually reverse an on-chain transfer. If you use an exchange account, secure it with a unique password and available login protections, and understand that the exchange controls the keys. For either approach, verify the exact token and chain before sending a small test amount when appropriate. Do not trust unsolicited messages offering to stake, “validate” or recover your TRAC; they may be attempts to take your tokens or recovery phrase.
## What will it cost to move or use TRAC?
A TRAC transfer on Ethereum or Base requires that network’s gas fee, paid separately from the TRAC being sent. The fee is generally paid in ETH, and it varies with network demand and the type of transaction. An exchange may also set its own withdrawal fee or minimum, so the amount shown by the provider can differ from the underlying network cost.
Moving TRAC between Ethereum and Base may require a bridge or a service that supports withdrawals on both networks. A bridge can involve fees on the source and destination networks, and processing time and availability can vary. Bridging also introduces smart-contract and service-provider risks; it is not just a change in a wallet setting. OriginTrail protocol activity may involve TRAC fees, but the amount required can depend on the operation. Confirm the current fee schedule and token requirements for the specific OriginTrail service before using it. Never send TRAC to a bridge or contract address unless you have verified that it supports the token and network you intend to use.
## What could go wrong if you hold or stake TRAC?
TRAC carries the usual risks of a crypto token: its price can fall sharply, trading liquidity can vary, and transfers are generally difficult or impossible to reverse. A fixed maximum supply does not protect the market price. If you hold TRAC through an exchange, you also take custody and withdrawal risks; if you hold it yourself, losing your recovery phrase or signing a malicious transaction can mean permanent loss.
OriginTrail’s use cases depend on the network and its applications being adopted and functioning as intended. A claim that information is verifiable does not mean every item is accurate, complete or independently checked. Before delegating TRAC, examine the current lock-up, withdrawal, reward and any penalty terms for the particular node. Before using a protocol service, confirm the required token amount, fee and security details, including the status of relevant audits. Be cautious of guaranteed staking returns, unsolicited support, and sites asking for your wallet recovery phrase. Only connect a wallet to an application you have independently verified.
## What is TRAC’s history, and what does it tell you?
OriginTrail launched on 2018-01-24 and has developed around a Decentralized Knowledge Graph for organizing trusted, AI-ready knowledge assets. The project presents this infrastructure as a way to improve the provenance and discoverability of information, including information about real-world assets. Its plans also describe using the network to support AI search and related services. These are project aims; holding the token does not guarantee that adoption or technical plans will succeed.
TRAC’s market history has included a wide range of prices: its recorded all-time low was about $0.00385 on 2020-03-12, and its all-time high was about $3.50 on 2021-11-03. Historical highs and lows are context, not price targets. If you are assessing the token today, focus on what the current applications actually require TRAC for, what fees apply, and whether the network’s technical and security details meet your needs. A project’s past milestones or partnerships do not remove the risks of holding a volatile token.

TRAC FAQs
Which networks support TRAC?
TRAC is issued on Ethereum and Base. Check the network selected in your wallet or exchange and verify the token contract before depositing or withdrawing; the same-looking address does not make networks interchangeable.
What is TRAC used for?
OriginTrail associates TRAC with protocol traffic and transactions, and holders may delegate it to selected nodes for a share of rewards. The applicable fee and reward terms can depend on the service or node, so verify current conditions before taking part.
Can you stake or delegate TRAC?
Delegated staking lets holders lock TRAC with selected nodes and potentially receive part of their rewards. Rewards are not guaranteed, and you should check the node’s lock-up, withdrawal and penalty terms before delegating.
What fees do TRAC transfers have?
A transfer requires gas on the network used: Ethereum and Base gas is paid in ETH, separately from the TRAC transfer. Fees vary with network conditions, and exchanges or bridges may add their own charges.
What is TRAC’s maximum supply?
As of 2026-11-08, about 447.3 million TRAC were circulating, against a total and maximum supply of 500 million. Circulating supply can change, so treat this as a dated figure.
What is the market cap of OriginTrail?
As of Nov 8, 2026, OriginTrail had a market cap of about $153M, ranking #199 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of TRAC?
OriginTrail's all-time high is $3.50, reached on Nov 3, 2021. Its all-time low is $0.003853 (Mar 12, 2020). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of TRAC?
As of Nov 8, 2026, about 447.27M TRAC were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 500M.
Which blockchains is TRAC on?
It has token contracts on Ethereum, Base.
