What does holding RSR let you do?

Holding RSR gives you two protocol roles: you can stake it as a backstop for a Reserve stablecoin, called an RToken, and use it to take part in governance for RTokens. Governance lets RSR holders propose and vote on changes to an RToken’s configuration. You can also hold RSR without staking or voting.

Staking is not the same as deposit interest or ordinary proof-of-stake validation. RSR staked on an RToken is intended to absorb losses if one of that RToken’s collateral tokens defaults. In return for taking that risk, stakers may receive a share of the RToken’s revenue. Revenue and any returns are not guaranteed, and the risk depends on the RToken you choose. You may stake on one RToken or split your RSR among several. Before committing tokens, check the collateral, current configuration, staking rules and how unstaking works for that specific RToken.

Which networks and wallets support RSR?

RSR is an ERC-20 token and is issued on Ethereum, Base and Arbitrum. It is not the native gas token of those networks: you generally need ETH to pay transaction fees on each one. An Ethereum wallet that supports ERC-20 tokens can usually manage RSR, but you must select the same network on the wallet and the service receiving it.

For self-custody, use an EVM-compatible wallet that supports the network you plan to use. Confirm the token contract and network through Reserve’s own channels before adding a token manually; a matching ticker alone does not prove that an asset is genuine. If you use a centralized exchange, check which RSR networks it supports for deposits and withdrawals. Sending RSR on Base or Arbitrum to an Ethereum-only deposit address, or the reverse, can delay or permanently lose access to the tokens.

How much RSR exists, and what can move its price?

RSR has a maximum and total supply of 100 billion tokens. About 62.55 billion were circulating as of 2026-11-08, so circulating supply was below the stated total. The difference matters: the number of tokens in circulation can affect available market supply, but the total alone does not tell you when any remaining tokens might enter circulation.

As of 2026-11-08, RSR traded at about $0.00155, with a market capitalization of about $97.1 million. These are snapshots, not stable values. RSR’s market price can move with demand, trading activity, broader crypto-market conditions and expectations about Reserve and its RTokens. Staking and governance use can also affect how holders choose to hold or move tokens, but neither guarantees demand or price appreciation. Check current supply and market data before making decisions; do not treat an old price or supply figure as current.

How can you get and store RSR?

You can generally obtain RSR through a crypto exchange that lists it, or through a decentralized exchange on a supported network. Availability, identity checks, deposit methods and withdrawal networks vary by provider and location. Compare the network shown at withdrawal with the network your wallet can receive; a token ticker by itself is not enough to identify the right route.

For storage, exchange custody is convenient but leaves control of the keys with the provider. A self-custody wallet gives you control of the keys, but also makes you responsible for protecting the recovery phrase and confirming every address and network. Keep recovery details offline and private. Never share them with someone claiming they need them to help with a transfer or staking position. If you stake RSR, review the exact RToken and the protocol’s current staking and withdrawal rules before locking or allocating tokens.

What does it cost to move RSR?

Moving RSR costs depend on the network and the transaction. On Ethereum, you pay a variable gas fee in ETH; Base and Arbitrum also require their network’s gas token, usually ETH. Fees can rise when a network is busy. A transfer to another wallet is different from staking, trading or interacting with an RToken, which may require additional transactions and fees.

Moving RSR between networks may involve a bridge or a service that handles cross-chain transfers. That can add fees, delays and separate smart-contract or provider risks. Do not assume a bridge is official, supported or reversible: confirm the route and destination network before sending. A low quoted fee does not remove the risk of choosing the wrong network or address. Check the final transaction details in your wallet, including the amount, network and recipient, before you approve it.

What could go wrong with RSR?

RSR’s main token-specific risk is its backstop role: staking exposes your tokens to losses if an RToken’s collateral fails. An RToken’s backing and configuration can differ from another’s, so do not assume all RSR staking positions carry the same risk. Governance participation also does not guarantee that proposals will protect your interests, and any revenue share from staking can vary or be absent.

There are broader risks too. RSR can lose value, crypto markets can be volatile, and smart-contract, bridge, exchange or wallet failures can result in lost funds. Token supply and market figures change, while being available on several networks increases the chance of a network-selection mistake. Before using RSR, check the current RToken collateral, contract and staking terms, and consider whether you can tolerate losing the amount you put at risk. No return is guaranteed.

When did RSR launch, and how does it relate to RTokens?

Reserve Rights launched in May 2019 after an initial exchange offering on Huobi Prime. Its stated purpose in the Reserve protocol is to support RToken collateral through RSR staking and provide governance over RToken configurations. Those functions make RSR different from a stablecoin: holding RSR does not mean you hold a fixed-value asset or a claim to a particular basket of collateral.

Reserve’s broader product activity includes on-chain asset baskets, but you should assess each product separately from the token. An RToken’s backing, redemption terms and operating rules are product-specific; they do not automatically define what holding RSR gets you. If you are considering staking or voting, read the current rules for the particular RToken and confirm that the relevant contracts and network are the ones you intend to use.

Reserve Rights in numbers

Reserve Rights (RSR) is ranked #272 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $97.1M and a price of $0.001553 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $155M, so roughly 63% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.

The price was up 2.4% over 7 days, up 1.0% over 30 days, down 67.3% over the past year. It trades about 99% below its all-time high of $0.1174, set on Apr 16, 2021.

About 62.55B RSR are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 100B (63% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $13.0M, or 13% of its market cap: high turnover.

RSR has token contracts on 3 chains we track, including Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

RSR is linked to Reserve Protocol, which we cover in our Indexes rankings. See our Reserve Protocol page for how the protocol works and how we score it.
