What can you do with YEC?
YEC is the native coin of the Ycash blockchain. You can hold it or send it to another person who can receive YEC on that network; it is not a share in a company or a claim on project income. Ycash’s software is based on Zcash, which in turn is based on Bitcoin. The project aims to improve transaction privacy and broaden mining access, but those goals do not guarantee that every transaction is private or that mining is evenly distributed.
Ycash supports unencrypted transactions, so you should not assume a payment is private just because you use YEC. Privacy can depend on the transaction type and the wallet you use. Check what your wallet supports before sending sensitive payments, and avoid putting identifying details in transaction notes or public posts. YEC’s usefulness also depends on whether a recipient or service accepts it; do not assume that a business accepts the coin.
Which wallet and network do you need for YEC?
YEC runs on its own Ycash blockchain. It is not an Ethereum token or a coin that you can send interchangeably across networks. Use a wallet that explicitly supports Ycash and confirm that the receiving address is for YEC before transferring. Sending YEC to an address on a different network may result in permanent loss.
Ycash shares its first 570,000 blocks with Zcash; the project says this history split occurred around July 18, 2019. That shared history does not mean a Zcash wallet automatically supports YEC today. Check for explicit Ycash support, including support for the address and transaction types you intend to use. Before moving a significant amount, consider a small test transfer and confirm it arrives. Keep your recovery phrase offline, and never enter it into a website or send it to someone claiming to provide wallet support.
How many YEC are there, and how liquid is it?
Ycash has a stated maximum supply of 21 million coins. As of November 8, 2026, about 17.02 million YEC were circulating, with total supply reported at the same amount. Supply figures can change as new coins are issued, so check current figures before relying on them. The cap limits the number of coins that can exist; it does not protect YEC’s market value from falling.
As of November 8, 2026, YEC traded at about $0.30, with a market capitalization of about $5.1 million. Reported 24-hour trading volume was about $884 on that date. A small market and low trading activity can make it harder to buy or sell at a price close to the displayed quote. Prices and market measures move, and past prices do not indicate what YEC will be worth later.
Ycash’s chain history initially overlapped with Zcash through block 570,000. The project describes access to YEC at that split for people who controlled eligible Zcash private keys then; that historical detail is not a general promise of a current claim process.
How can you store YEC and limit the main risks?
Treat YEC as a high-risk asset: its price can move sharply, and low trading volume can make selling difficult or costly. Network or wallet problems can also interrupt transfers. Blockchain transactions are generally difficult to reverse, so verify the recipient address, network, and amount before confirming a payment.
For storage, choose a wallet that explicitly supports Ycash. If you use a self-custody wallet, keep its recovery phrase offline in a secure place and do not share it. A hardware wallet is an option only if it specifically supports YEC; support for Zcash or another coin alone is not enough. For an exchange or custodial service, check that YEC deposits and withdrawals are enabled and review its custody and account-security arrangements.
Privacy is another risk to manage. Ycash includes unencrypted transactions, and a wallet may not support every privacy feature. Check the transaction type before sending, and remember that publicly visible transfers can reveal activity. Do not store more in an online account or device than you are prepared to risk losing.

Ycash in numbers
Ycash (YEC) is ranked #1,650 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $5.10M and a price of $0.2995 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($5.10M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was up 2.6% over 7 days, down 21.6% over 30 days, down 55.1% over the past year. It trades about 95% below its all-time high of $6.10, set on Jul 21, 2019.
About 17.02M YEC are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 21M (81% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $884, or 0.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
CoinGecko groups YEC under Privacy coins, Zero-knowledge (ZK) tokens.

YEC FAQs
Is YEC a coin or a token?
YEC is the native coin of the Ycash blockchain. It is not an ERC-20 token, so you need a wallet and receiving address that explicitly support Ycash.
What is Ycash’s maximum supply?
Ycash has a maximum supply of 21 million coins. About 17.02 million were reported as circulating as of November 8, 2026; supply figures can change as issuance continues.
Are Ycash transactions private?
No. Ycash supports unencrypted transactions, so you should not treat every YEC payment as private. Privacy depends on the transaction type and wallet support.
Can I store YEC in a Zcash wallet?
Only use a wallet that explicitly supports Ycash and the transaction types you need. Zcash’s shared history and related software do not by themselves mean a Zcash wallet can hold or send YEC.
What are the main risks of holding YEC?
Ycash’s supply cap does not prevent its market price from falling. Trading volume, wallet or network issues, privacy limits and irreversible transfers are risks to consider before holding or sending YEC.
What is the market cap of Ycash?
As of Nov 8, 2026, Ycash had a market cap of about $5.10M, ranking #1,650 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of YEC?
Ycash's all-time high is $6.10, reached on Jul 21, 2019. Its all-time low is $0.0000003245 (Apr 13, 2022). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of YEC?
As of Nov 8, 2026, about 17.02M YEC were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 21M.
