## What can you use EPIC for?
EPIC is the native currency of Epic Cash, a project built around private, peer-to-peer payments. Epic Cash uses the Mimblewimble protocol and says its blockchain does not store transaction information in the usual public way. That design aims to make transactions less traceable than those on transparent blockchains, but it does not guarantee that your identity or activity is hidden in every situation. Exchanges may require identity checks, and network or device data can still create privacy risks.
The project says EPIC is mined and can be used as money; it does not describe a separate utility such as voting or access to an app. Mining began in September 2019, without an ICO or pre-mine, according to Epic Cash. Treat privacy and decentralisation claims as design goals to assess, not as a promise that holding or sending EPIC is risk-free.
## Which chain and wallet do you need for EPIC?
EPIC runs on Epic Cash’s own blockchain; it is not presented as a token issued on Ethereum or another listed network. You need a wallet that explicitly supports Epic Cash and its network. An address from a different chain will not work just because it looks like a cryptocurrency address. Before sending, check the wallet’s current network support and make sure the receiving service accepts native EPIC deposits.
Epic Cash’s project description does not name a specific wallet or provide a wallet compatibility list. Confirm support through the project’s current official channels and check that you can restore the wallet from its recovery phrase before transferring a meaningful amount. If you use an exchange, verify that deposits and withdrawals are enabled for EPIC, and check its network selection carefully. Sending to the wrong network or an unsupported address can result in funds that cannot be recovered.
## How much EPIC exists, and what does the cap mean?
Epic Cash sets a maximum supply of 21 million EPIC. As of 2026-11-08, about 19.28 million were circulating, with about 19.30 million in total supply. The difference between total and circulating supply was small at that point, but the figures can change as coins are mined. A supply cap describes the project’s stated issuance limit; it does not guarantee demand, value or liquidity.
On the same date, EPIC’s market price was about $0.78 and its market capitalisation was about $15.1 million. These are snapshots, not fixed values, and trading prices can move sharply. If you are assessing your holdings, consider how easily you could sell or transfer the amount you own, not just the reported market cap. Do not treat the all-time high or past performance as a guide to future prices.
## How should you store EPIC safely?
For self-custody, use a wallet that supports Epic Cash’s own chain and protect its recovery phrase as the key to your funds. Write the phrase down offline and keep it somewhere private and secure; do not send it to anyone or store it in an unprotected photo, message or cloud document. A hardware wallet is useful only if it explicitly supports EPIC and the setup suits your needs. Keep wallet software and your device updated, and use a small test transfer when trying a new wallet or address.
If you hold EPIC on an exchange, the exchange controls the keys and may pause deposits or withdrawals. Check its custody and withdrawal terms, and avoid keeping more there than you are comfortable leaving under a third party’s control. Never approve a transfer or share recovery details because of an unsolicited support message. A legitimate wallet provider does not need your recovery phrase to troubleshoot an account.
## What risks should you consider before holding EPIC?
EPIC carries the risks of a relatively small cryptocurrency: its price can fall substantially, trading can be thin, and a market price does not mean you can sell quickly at that price. Self-custody adds the risk of losing access through a lost recovery phrase, damaged device, malware or a mistaken transfer. Exchange custody adds counterparty risk, including withdrawal restrictions or a platform failure.
Privacy also has limits. Mimblewimble’s design can reduce information recorded on-chain, but it cannot by itself protect you from compromised devices, identifying details you share, or records kept by services you use. Epic Cash promotes a claim about resistance to future quantum computing; do not treat that statement as independently established security assurance. The project description does not specify an independent audit. Before holding EPIC, make sure you understand its wallet recovery process, where you can trade or transfer it, and what you could afford to lose.
By the numbers
Epic Private Internet Cash in numbers
Epic Private Internet Cash (EPIC) is ranked #984 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $15.1M and a price of $0.7834 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($15.1M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was down 4.4% over 7 days, up 46.3% over 30 days, up 165% over the past year. It trades about 88% below its all-time high of $6.72, set on Dec 11, 2021.
About 19.28M EPIC are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 21M (92% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $79.7K, or 0.5% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

EPIC FAQs
Is EPIC an ERC-20 token?
EPIC is the native currency of Epic Cash and runs on its own blockchain. It is not presented as a token issued on Ethereum or another separate network.
What is the maximum supply of EPIC?
Epic Cash states a maximum supply of 21 million EPIC. About 19.28 million were circulating as of 2026-11-08; supply figures can change as mining continues.
Which wallet can hold EPIC?
Use a wallet that explicitly supports Epic Cash’s own chain. Check current compatibility and test the recovery process before transferring a large amount; a wallet for another chain may not support EPIC.
Are EPIC transactions completely anonymous?
Epic Cash uses Mimblewimble and describes its transactions as private, but that does not guarantee complete anonymity. Exchanges, compromised devices and identifying information you share can still expose activity.
Can you mine EPIC?
Epic Cash says EPIC is mined and sets a 21 million coin cap. Its project description does not specify a mining algorithm, so check current project documentation before choosing mining software or equipment.
