## What do you get by holding USUAL?
USUAL is the governance and reward token associated with the Usual Protocol. It is not the same asset as USD0, the project’s stablecoin backed by tokenized Treasury bills. Holding USUAL does not make it equivalent to a dollar or give you the same exposure as holding USD0.
USUAL may be used to participate in protocol governance and reward users, but the token’s exact voting rights, reward conditions and any changes to those arrangements can depend on the protocol’s current rules. Check the terms and any proposal details before connecting a wallet or committing tokens. Governance tokens can give holders a voice without giving them ownership of the project or a guaranteed claim on revenue, reserves or assets.
Treat USUAL as a volatile crypto asset, not as a stable-value payment token. Its market price was about $0.010 as of 2026-11-08, and it had fallen substantially over the prior year. That history is a reminder that token demand and price can change sharply; it does not indicate what the price will do next.
## Which networks and wallets can hold USUAL?
USUAL is issued on Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain; it is not listed as the native token of any of them. These are separate networks, so a USUAL balance on one chain is not automatically available on another. Before sending or receiving it, confirm that the wallet, exchange and destination all support USUAL on the same network.
You can generally store compatible tokens in a wallet that supports the relevant network, or keep them with a crypto exchange that lists USUAL. For a self-custody wallet, confirm the network and token contract through an official Usual channel before adding or sending the asset. A ticker alone is not proof that a token is genuine. If you use a bridge to move tokens between networks, check its supported routes and risks first; bridging can introduce additional smart-contract and operational risks.
A wrong-network transfer may be difficult or impossible to recover. Make a small test transfer when practical, and never share your recovery phrase or private keys with anyone claiming to help.
## How much USUAL exists, and can supply grow?
As of 2026-11-08, USUAL had about 1.97 billion tokens circulating, roughly 1.99 billion in total supply and a stated maximum supply of 3 billion. Circulating supply is the amount counted as available in the market; total supply can include tokens that are not circulating. The maximum is a stated cap, not a promise that every remaining token will enter circulation on a particular schedule.
The difference between total and circulating supply was relatively small on that date, but supply figures can change as tokens are issued, released, burned or reclassified. Check current tokenomics and release information before using an old figure to assess dilution. Market capitalization is also a moving estimate based on price and circulating supply, not cash held by the protocol or a redemption value.
USUAL’s market capitalization was about $19.8 million and its fully diluted valuation about $20.0 million on 2026-11-08. Both can move with the market and should not be treated as guarantees of liquidity or value.
## How can you store USUAL more safely?
For self-custody, use a wallet with support for the chain where your USUAL is held. Keep your recovery phrase offline in a secure place, and never enter it into a website or share it in a message. A hardware wallet can help keep signing keys offline, but it does not prevent you from approving a malicious transaction or choosing the wrong network.
Before interacting with a governance page or protocol app, verify that you have the intended site and token. Read wallet prompts carefully: a signature or token approval can grant permissions that you may not expect. Review and revoke unused approvals using a trusted tool, while checking that the tool itself is legitimate.
If you leave USUAL on an exchange, you avoid managing a recovery phrase but rely on that platform to safeguard and release your assets. Check its withdrawal support for the correct chain and understand that access may be restricted during outages or account reviews. No storage method removes all risk, so keep only what you can manage safely in each place.
## What could go wrong when you hold USUAL?
USUAL’s main risks include sharp price swings, changing token supply, governance decisions you may not control, and losses caused by a compromised wallet or a faulty transaction. A governance or reward role does not guarantee that the protocol will remain active, that rewards will continue, or that USUAL will retain market demand.
There are also network and smart-contract risks. A token on Ethereum, Base or BNB Chain can be affected by problems on its chain or in applications that interact with it. A bridge adds another point of failure. Check the project’s current documentation for contract addresses, token rules, audit information and reward conditions rather than relying on a token name or a social post.
USUAL is distinct from USD0: holding the governance token is not a claim on USD0’s Treasury-bill backing. Before using either asset, understand its separate rights, redemption arrangements and legal protections. Do not assume that tokenized assets or protocol governance provide the same protections as a bank deposit or a regulated investment.
