## What can STRK do for you?

STRK has three stated roles on Starknet: paying transaction fees, voting on governance proposals and participating in the network’s consensus mechanism through staking. Starknet is an Ethereum Layer 2 validity rollup that uses STARK cryptography; STRK is the token used to operate and help secure that ecosystem.

Holding STRK does not give you shares in Starknet or a guaranteed return. Governance participation depends on the rules for proposals and voting, and staking is not the same as a bank deposit: its terms and risks depend on the protocol. You may also hold STRK without using Starknet, but the token’s network functions are most relevant when you interact with Starknet itself.

## Which networks and wallets support STRK?

STRK is native to Starknet and is also issued on Ethereum and Solana. That means you need to know which network your STRK is on before sending it: a token with the same ticker on a different chain is not automatically in the same form or usable in the same places.

For Starknet, use a wallet that explicitly supports Starknet, such as Argent or Braavos. An Ethereum-issued STRK token needs an Ethereum-compatible wallet, and a Solana-issued representation needs a Solana-compatible wallet such as Phantom. Wallet support can vary, so check the network and token contract or asset details in the receiving wallet before transferring. Never assume that an address or deposit method for one chain will accept STRK from another.

## How much STRK is in circulation?

As of 2026-11-08, about 7.66 billion STRK were circulating out of roughly 10.18 billion total. No maximum supply is reported in these token figures. The difference between total and circulating supply matters: tokens outside circulation may enter circulation over time, but the figures alone do not show when or how that could happen.

Governance and token-release decisions can affect the supply picture, so check current project disclosures before relying on older token counts. Do not treat circulating supply as a promise that the remaining tokens will stay out of the market, or assume that the total supply is the same as the amount readily available to trade. Supply measures can also use different definitions across platforms.

## How do people get and store STRK?

People generally obtain STRK by receiving it from someone else, using a centralized crypto exchange, or swapping through a compatible decentralized exchange. Availability depends on the exchange and the network version it supports. If you withdraw from an exchange, select the network that matches the destination wallet; a wrong-chain transfer can be difficult or impossible to recover.

For storage, you can keep STRK in an exchange account or move it to a self-custody wallet that supports its specific chain. With self-custody, protect your recovery phrase offline and never share it with anyone claiming to provide support. Consider a small test transfer before sending a larger amount, especially if you are using a new wallet or network. These are general handling considerations, not a recommendation to acquire STRK.

## What does it cost to move STRK?

The cost depends on where your STRK is held and what you do with it. Starknet uses STRK to pay transaction fees, but the amount can vary with network conditions and the action being performed. A simple transfer and a more complex contract interaction may have different costs; check the wallet’s fee estimate before confirming.

Ethereum transactions generally require ETH for network gas, while Solana transactions generally require SOL for network fees. Bridging between chains can add source-chain gas, destination-chain fees and any bridge charge. It can also involve waiting for transfers to complete. The fee is not the only consideration: using a bridge adds smart-contract and operational risks, and the token may arrive in a different representation. Confirm both networks and the bridge’s destination asset before proceeding.

## What could go wrong when you hold STRK?

STRK carries several risks. Its market value can rise or fall sharply, and its use in fees, staking or governance does not guarantee demand or a particular value. Network outages, software bugs, governance decisions and changes to Starknet’s adoption can also affect your ability or willingness to use the token.

Cross-chain transfers add another layer of risk: a bridge or token representation can have separate technical or custody weaknesses. Self-custody creates the risk of losing access through a misplaced recovery phrase or a mistaken transfer. If you stake STRK, check the current rules for participation, withdrawal timing and any penalties before committing tokens; do not assume staking is instantly reversible or risk-free. Keep only the amount you can manage if access or value changes.

## What does STRK’s price history show?

STRK reached an all-time high of about $4.41 on 2024-02-20 and an all-time low of about $0.022 on 2026-08-18. As of 2026-11-08, its price was about $0.040, with a market capitalization of about $303 million. These are dated snapshots, not current quotes or a guide to future performance.

Over the year to that date, STRK was down about 71%; it was down about 8% over the preceding seven days. Those changes show how much the price can move, but past performance cannot tell you what happens next. If you track STRK, compare like-for-like figures and confirm the date, circulating-supply measure and network version before drawing conclusions.

By the numbers

Starknet in numbers

Starknet (STRK) is ranked #131 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $303M and a price of $0.0395 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $403M, so roughly 75% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.

The price was down 8.4% over 7 days, down 38.6% over 30 days, down 70.9% over the past year. It trades about 99% below its all-time high of $4.41, set on Feb 20, 2024.

About 7.66B STRK are in circulation, from a total supply of 10.18B. No hard maximum supply is listed.

24-hour trading volume was about $22.5M, or 7.4% of its market cap: moderate turnover.

STRK is the native token of Starknet; it also has token contracts on 2 chains we track, including Ethereum, Solana. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

CoinGecko groups STRK under Layer 2 tokens, Infrastructure tokens, Zero-knowledge (ZK) tokens.

STRK FAQs

What is STRK used for?

STRK is used for Starknet transaction fees, governance and participation in the network’s consensus mechanism through staking. Holding it does not guarantee a yield or a right to company profits.

Which networks is STRK on?

STRK is native to Starknet and is also issued on Ethereum and Solana. Choose a wallet and deposit network that match the specific STRK token you have; do not rely on the ticker alone.

Do you need STRK to pay Starknet fees?

Starknet transaction fees are paid in STRK, but the amount can vary by transaction and network conditions. Transfers on Ethereum or Solana, and cross-chain bridges, can require fees in those networks’ native assets as well.

How many STRK tokens are there?

About 7.66 billion STRK were circulating out of roughly 10.18 billion total as of 2026-11-08. No maximum supply is reported in these figures, and the circulating amount can differ from total supply.

Which wallet can store STRK?

Use a wallet that supports the chain where your STRK is held, such as Argent or Braavos for Starknet. Check the exact network and token details before sending, since the Ethereum, Solana and Starknet versions are not interchangeable by default.

What is the market cap of Starknet?

As of Nov 8, 2026, Starknet had a market cap of about $303M, ranking #131 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.

What is the all-time high of STRK?

Starknet's all-time high is $4.41, reached on Feb 20, 2024. Its all-time low is $0.0222 (Aug 18, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.

What is the circulating supply of STRK?

As of Nov 8, 2026, about 7.66B STRK were in circulation; no fixed maximum supply is listed.

Which blockchains is STRK on?

STRK is the native token of Starknet. It has token contracts on Ethereum, Solana.
