What does holding GAL or G let you do?

GAL is the former Galxe token; the project has migrated it to G, the utility token for Gravity and the wider Galxe ecosystem. G is used to pay for transactions on Gravity, and it also supports staking, governance, payments and incentives. Galxe’s products include tools for onboarding, identity verification and user engagement, so G may also be used for fees connected with those applications.

If you hold something labelled GAL, first check whether it is the old token or whether a platform has already completed a swap and now shows G. A familiar name or ticker alone does not establish that a token is the current asset. The migration is intended to bring the token into the Gravity ecosystem; it does not mean every GAL balance automatically changed in every wallet or exchange. Treat GAL and G as distinct until your wallet or the service holding your tokens confirms the conversion.

Which chains and wallets can hold your token?

GAL has been issued on Ethereum and BNB Chain. Gravity is described as Galxe’s Layer 1 blockchain, and G is its native utility token. The chain list for the legacy GAL token is not the same as a confirmed list of networks supporting G, so check the network shown by your wallet or exchange before sending anything. A token can have the same ticker on different networks without being interchangeable.

For storage, use a wallet that explicitly supports the relevant network and token contract. Standard EVM-compatible wallets can generally hold compatible Ethereum or BNB Chain tokens, but that does not guarantee they can display or transact with G on Gravity. Exchanges may custody the asset for you, but their support for GAL deposits, withdrawals and migration can differ. Confirm the asset name, network and destination address on both ends; sending to an unsupported network or address can make recovery difficult or impossible.

How much GAL is in circulation, and what moves it?

The listed GAL supply is 200 million total, with a 200 million maximum and about 127.7 million circulating as of November 8, 2026. Those figures describe GAL, the legacy ticker, and should not automatically be treated as G’s supply after migration. Check the current G token information before relying on those numbers, especially if you are comparing balances across networks or platforms.

The listed GAL market capitalization was about $58.9 million and its fully diluted valuation about $92.3 million as of that date. Its reported 24-hour trading volume was only about $2, an exceptionally thin figure that can make displayed prices unreliable and selling or transferring through a market harder. Token supply and market statistics can change, and reported figures may refer to a particular contract or market. They are not a guarantee that you can trade at the displayed price.

How can you check or migrate a GAL balance?

If you already hold GAL, check whether the exchange or wallet you use has handled the migration to G. Some exchanges completed a swap and redenomination, while others may stop supporting deposits or withdrawals of the old GAL token. Don’t send legacy GAL to a G deposit address—or the reverse—unless the receiving service explicitly confirms it supports that asset and network.

For a self-custody balance, verify the token contract and network against current Galxe or Gravity instructions before taking any migration step. Keep your seed phrase private and never share it with someone claiming they can migrate tokens for you. If you are obtaining exposure through a custodial platform, check which asset it lists, whether withdrawals are enabled, and what network those withdrawals use. These checks are more important than the ticker shown in a search or portfolio app, which may not clearly distinguish old GAL from G.

What will a transfer or bridge cost you?

Moving GAL on Ethereum or BNB Chain requires that network’s transaction fee, paid in its native asset; the amount varies with network conditions. Transactions involving G on Gravity require the applicable Gravity fee. Cross-chain transfers may also involve a bridge or other transfer service, which can add a separate fee and processing time. No fixed fee should be assumed: check the wallet’s confirmation screen and the transfer service’s terms before approving.

A migration or exchange swap may follow different rules from a regular token transfer. Check whether the platform charges a fee, has paused GAL deposits or withdrawals, or requires you to take action. A very small transfer can be uneconomical if the network fee is high relative to the amount. For any first transfer, confirm the supported token and network carefully; a low fee does not make an unsupported route safe.

What could go wrong if you hold or move it?

The main risk is confusing legacy GAL with G. A platform may have completed the swap while a wallet, market page or old contract still displays GAL. A wrong-network transfer, unsupported deposit or unofficial migration offer can lead to a lost balance. Use only current instructions from Galxe, Gravity or the exchange that actually holds your tokens, and never disclose your seed phrase or private keys.

Market risk is also material. The listed GAL trading volume was about $2 over 24 hours as of November 8, 2026, so the quoted price may not reflect a market where you can readily trade a meaningful amount. Prices can fall sharply, and market data may track a legacy asset rather than G. Gravity and Galxe’s stated capabilities are not a guarantee of adoption, token value or uninterrupted service. Consider whether you can identify the exact contract and withdraw route before treating a balance as usable.

Why did GAL become Gravity’s G token?

Galxe’s token migration moved GAL toward G as the ecosystem expanded to include Gravity, described as a Layer 1 blockchain. The migration was announced and implemented in 2024, with exchange support for token swaps and a change in ticker and denomination. G is presented as the token that serves both Gravity and the broader Galxe ecosystem, including transaction fees, staking and governance.

That history matters if you still see GAL in a wallet or on a market listing: it may be a legacy token, not the current asset intended for Gravity activity. The migration does not by itself tell you whether an individual exchange will convert a balance, whether old-token withdrawals remain open, or what conversion route applies to a self-custody balance. Confirm those details with the service or current project instructions before acting. Keep records of the network and contract you hold, particularly if you use more than one wallet.

By the numbers

GAL (migrated to Gravity - G) in numbers

GAL (migrated to Gravity - G) (GAL) is ranked #386 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $58.9M and a price of $0.4614 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $92.3M, so roughly 64% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.

The price was down 3.9% over 7 days, down 14.0% over 30 days, up 13.1% over the past year. It trades about 97% below its all-time high of $18.32, set on May 5, 2022.

About 127.75M GAL are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 200M (64% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $2, or 0.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

GAL has token contracts on 2 chains we track, including Ethereum, BNB Chain. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

CoinGecko groups GAL under NFT tokens, Zero-knowledge (ZK) tokens, SocialFi tokens.
