## What does holding SDT let you do?
SDT is Stake DAO’s governance token. You can use it to vote on decisions for the platform, and staking SDT can make you eligible for a share of fees generated by Stake DAO products, including staking and automated investment strategies. Simply holding SDT does not mean you automatically receive fees: you need to check the current staking rules and complete any required steps.
The amount you receive can depend on fees generated and the platform’s distribution terms. It is not a fixed interest rate or a guaranteed return. Before staking, check whether your SDT will be locked, how rewards are calculated, and how you can unstake. Stake DAO’s products interact with decentralized finance protocols, so using them can involve risks beyond the price movements of SDT itself.
## Which networks can you use for SDT?
SDT is issued on Ethereum, Arbitrum and Polygon; it is not listed as the native token of any of those networks. To hold it yourself, use a wallet that supports the network where your SDT is held. A wallet address on one network does not necessarily mean the same token is available on another.
Before you send SDT, confirm the destination network and token contract in your wallet or the Stake DAO app. Sending a token through an unsupported network, or using the wrong contract address, can make it difficult or impossible to recover. If you move SDT between networks, check the current supported route and costs first; bridges add their own contract and operational risks.
A self-custody wallet gives you control of the recovery phrase, but also makes you responsible for keeping it safe. If you use a custodial exchange instead, check that it supports SDT withdrawals on the network you need. Do not assume deposits or withdrawals are available on all three networks.
## How much SDT is in circulation?
As of 2026-11-08, SDT’s reported circulating supply was about 68.6 million, its total supply about 70.5 million, and its maximum supply 100 million. These figures describe different things: circulating supply is the amount counted as available in the market, total supply includes tokens that may not be circulating, and a maximum supply is a stated ceiling rather than a guarantee that every token has already been issued.
Supply figures can change as tokens are issued, released or otherwise accounted for, so check an up-to-date token supply view before relying on them. A maximum supply does not tell you how tokens are distributed, when any remaining tokens may enter circulation, or how much SDT is available to trade. Those details can matter when you assess dilution and liquidity. Supply limits alone do not indicate whether SDT is fairly priced or likely to rise or fall.
## What are the main risks of holding SDT?
SDT can lose value, and trading may be difficult if there are few buyers. Reported 24-hour trading volume was about $598 as of 2026-11-08, a low figure that can mean wider price swings or more difficulty completing a trade at the price you expect. Check current market depth and prices rather than relying on an old quote.
Staking SDT or using Stake DAO strategies adds smart-contract and protocol risks. A contract error, exploit, or change to a connected DeFi protocol could affect funds or rewards. Governance rights also do not guarantee that a proposal will pass or that a decision will benefit every holder. Review the current terms before approving a transaction, and understand any lockup or withdrawal conditions.
For safer storage, keep your recovery phrase offline and private, use a hardware wallet for larger holdings if that suits you, and check each transaction’s network, token and permissions. Never share your phrase or sign a transaction you do not understand. A wallet protects access to your tokens; it does not protect their market value or remove protocol risk.
By the numbers
Stake DAO in numbers
Stake DAO (SDT) is ranked #1,488 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $6.59M and a price of $0.0959 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($6.76M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was down 1.0% over 7 days, down 0.2% over 30 days, down 64.1% over the past year. It trades about 99% below its all-time high of $17.38, set on Feb 3, 2021.
About 68.65M SDT are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 100M (69% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $598, or 0.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
SDT has token contracts on 3 chains we track, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

SDT FAQs
What is SDT used for?
SDT is a governance token for Stake DAO. Holders can vote, and staking SDT can make them eligible for a share of fees generated by Stake DAO products. Fee distributions are not guaranteed returns.
Which networks support SDT?
SDT is issued on Ethereum, Arbitrum and Polygon. Use a wallet that supports the network holding your tokens, and verify the network and token contract before sending SDT.
Does SDT pay staking rewards?
Holding SDT alone does not necessarily earn fees. Stake DAO describes staking SDT as a way to receive a share of DAO fees; check the current staking rules, reward terms and any lockup before participating.
What is the maximum supply of SDT?
As of 2026-11-08, reported circulating supply was about 68.6 million SDT, total supply about 70.5 million, and the maximum supply 100 million. Supply figures can change, so check current figures if the exact amount matters to you.
How should I store SDT safely?
Use a wallet that supports the network where your SDT is held, keep your recovery phrase offline and private, and verify transaction details before approving them. Self-custody protects access only if you safeguard your keys; it does not prevent SDT price or DeFi protocol losses.
What is the market cap of Stake DAO?
As of Nov 8, 2026, Stake DAO had a market cap of about $6.59M, ranking #1,488 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of SDT?
Stake DAO's all-time high is $17.38, reached on Feb 3, 2021. Its all-time low is $0.0152 (Oct 28, 2022). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
