## What does holding INV let you do?
What does holding INV let you do?
INV is Inverse Finance’s governance token. Holding it can let you participate in on-chain governance, where token holders vote on decisions for the protocol. Inverse Finance develops FiRM, a fixed-rate DOLA lending protocol, and DOLA and sDOLA, but INV is not itself the lending or stablecoin asset.
The project says INV staking generates revenue sharing. That does not make a return guaranteed: revenue can change, and staking may involve lock-up rules or other conditions. Check the current governance and staking terms before committing tokens. If you want to borrow DOLA or earn yield on DOLA, those are separate activities from simply holding INV and carry their own risks.
## Which network and wallets support INV?
Which network and wallets support INV?
INV is issued on Ethereum; it is not listed as the native token of a blockchain. To hold it yourself, use a wallet that supports Ethereum and ERC-20 tokens. A hardware wallet can keep signing keys offline, while a software wallet may be more convenient for interacting with on-chain governance or staking.
The project identifies Curve and Balancer as places to obtain INV. Before swapping, check that the token contract and pool are the genuine ones, and review the price impact and liquidity shown by the interface. A token with the same ticker on another network may be unrelated. If you send INV, select Ethereum on both ends and confirm the recipient supports the token; a transfer to an incompatible network or address may be difficult or impossible to recover.
## How much INV is in circulation?
How much INV is in circulation?
As of 2026-11-08, reported circulating supply was about 714,903 INV and total supply was 727,000. No maximum supply is listed. These are supply figures, not a measure of how much INV is available to trade: some tokens may be staked or held in wallets, and market liquidity can be limited.
Supply numbers can change through token releases, burns or other governance decisions, so check them again if they matter to your decision. Avoid treating a circulating-supply figure as a promise about future dilution or scarcity. INV’s price and market value also move, and neither its supply nor its governance role guarantees that you can sell at a particular price.
## How should you store INV safely?
How should you store INV safely?
For a small amount you use regularly, an Ethereum-compatible software wallet may be convenient. For longer-term self-custody, consider a hardware wallet and keep its recovery phrase offline in a secure place. Never share the recovery phrase or sign a transaction you do not understand; a wallet provider or project representative should not need your phrase.
When connecting to governance, staking or a swap service, verify the application and transaction details before approving. Token approvals can give a contract permission to move assets, so review what you are authorizing and revoke permissions you no longer need. Keep a small amount of ETH available for Ethereum network fees. If you leave INV on an exchange, you rely on that service to safeguard and release your tokens.
## What risks come with INV and Inverse Finance?
What risks come with INV and Inverse Finance?
INV’s value can fall sharply, and low trading activity or shallow pool liquidity can make it harder to trade at the price you expect. Governance influence and any staking revenue depend on the protocol’s operation and decisions; neither guarantees income. DOLA borrowing, collateral and sDOLA yield are separate DeFi exposures, with risks such as contract failure, collateral shortfalls, liquidation and a stablecoin losing its intended peg.
Inverse Finance was exploited in April 2022, with reported losses of about $15.6 million. That is a historical incident, not proof of the current state of every contract, but it is relevant when weighing protocol risk. Smart-contract bugs, malicious approvals, phishing and mistakes with irreversible transfers can also result in loss. Consider whether you can afford to lose the amount you hold, and check current protocol conditions before interacting.
By the numbers
Inverse Finance in numbers
Inverse Finance (INV) is ranked #1,436 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $7.21M and a price of $10.09 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($7.33M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was down 4.9% over 7 days, down 4.5% over 30 days, down 69.0% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $2,075, set on Mar 6, 2021.
About 714.9K INV are in circulation, from a total supply of 727K. No hard maximum supply is listed.
24-hour trading volume was about $6.05K, or 0.1% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
INV has token contracts on Ethereum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
INV is linked to Inverse Finance, which we cover in our Lending rankings. See our Inverse Finance page for how the protocol works and how we score it.

What is INV used for?
INV is a governance token for Inverse Finance, whose products include FiRM lending and the DOLA stablecoin. The project also says INV staking generates revenue sharing, but returns are not guaranteed.
What blockchain is INV on?
INV is issued on Ethereum. Use a wallet that supports Ethereum and ERC-20 tokens, and confirm the network before sending it.
What is the supply of INV?
As of 2026-11-08, circulating supply was about 714,903 INV and total supply was 727,000. No maximum supply is listed, and supply figures can change.

The project identifies Curve and Balancer as places to obtain INV. Check the token contract, pool liquidity and transaction details before swapping.
Has Inverse Finance been hacked?
Inverse Finance was exploited in April 2022, with reported losses of about $15.6 million. INV also carries market, liquidity, governance and smart-contract risks; past security incidents do not establish the current safety of a protocol.
What is the market cap of Inverse Finance?
As of Nov 8, 2026, Inverse Finance had a market cap of about $7.21M, ranking #1,436 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of INV?
Inverse Finance's all-time high is $2,075, reached on Mar 6, 2021. Its all-time low is $8.28 (Aug 15, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of INV?
