What does holding ETHFI actually let you do?

ETHFI is Ether.fi’s governance token, not the same thing as the ETH you stake through the platform. Ether.fi offers Ethereum staking and restaking, as well as products for earning, borrowing, trading and spending crypto. Holding ETHFI does not, by itself, stake ETH, earn staking rewards or guarantee access to a particular product benefit.

ETHFI’s stated role is to let holders take part in governance. That gives the token a connection to protocol decisions, but governance rights do not make it a claim on Ether.fi’s assets or a promise of income. Check what proposals are open and what voting power a holding provides before treating it as useful for governance. The project’s products can change, so don’t assume a card, vault or other service requires ETHFI—or gives ETHFI holders special terms—unless the current product rules say so.

Which networks and wallets support ETHFI?

ETHFI is issued on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base and Scroll. It is not the native gas token of any of those networks: you generally need the relevant network’s native token to pay transaction fees. An Ethereum wallet that supports these networks can usually hold compatible tokens, but the wallet must be connected to the same chain where your ETHFI is held.

Before receiving or sending ETHFI, check the network and token contract against Ether.fi’s official information. A token with the same ticker on a different chain may not be the asset you intend to move. Sending to an exchange deposit address also requires selecting a network that the exchange supports for ETHFI. A network mismatch can delay recovery or make the transfer unrecoverable. A hardware wallet can keep signing keys offline, but it does not protect you from sending to the wrong address or approving a malicious transaction.

How much ETHFI exists, and what can move its value?

ETHFI has a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens. About 998.5 million were circulating out of a total supply of about 998.5 million as of November 8, 2026. These figures can change if tokens are issued, burned or reclassified, so check current token data before relying on them. The maximum supply is not a forecast of market value or demand.

ETHFI’s market price can move with trading demand, wider crypto-market conditions, and changes in expectations for Ether.fi and DeFi. As of November 8, 2026, its market capitalization was about $588 million; that is a dated snapshot, not a stable measure. The project’s supply facts here do not specify future unlocks, emissions or how governance decisions could affect supply. Those details matter when assessing dilution, so look for current tokenomics and governance disclosures rather than assuming the circulating figure will stay fixed.

How do people get and store ETHFI?

People generally obtain tokens such as ETHFI through a supported centralized exchange or an onchain swap, where available. Availability, identity checks and payment options depend on the service and your location. This is not a recommendation to buy; compare the network, fees and withdrawal terms before making any transaction.

For self-custody, you can hold ETHFI in a wallet that supports its chain, or use a hardware wallet with compatible software. Keep your recovery phrase offline and private; anyone who gets it can control the wallet. A hosted exchange account is different: the service controls the keys, and withdrawals may be limited or paused. If you move ETHFI between chains, use a bridge or transfer route that explicitly supports the token and both networks. Confirm the destination network and address before signing, and consider a small test transfer when appropriate.

What does it cost to move ETHFI?

Moving ETHFI costs network fees, and the amount depends on the chain and its current activity. Ethereum fees can rise during congestion; Arbitrum, Base and Scroll transactions also require their own gas, usually paid in each network’s native token. The fee is separate from any trading or exchange withdrawal charge.

Moving ETHFI from one supported chain to another may require a bridge. Bridge fees, waiting times and available routes vary, and bridging adds smart-contract and operational risks on top of ordinary transfer risk. Ether.fi does not have one universal transfer fee for all networks, so check the wallet, exchange or bridge quote immediately before confirming. A low displayed fee does not mean a route is risk-free. If an exchange only accepts ETHFI on a particular chain, sending it over another chain can leave the deposit inaccessible.

What could go wrong with ETHFI or Ether.fi?

ETHFI holders face the usual token risks: prices can fall sharply, liquidity can thin, and a token can become harder to sell or transfer. Governance value depends on the protocol’s development and on how much influence holders actually exercise; it does not guarantee a financial return. A large circulating supply also does not tell you whether demand will persist.

Ether.fi’s staking and restaking products carry separate risks from simply holding ETHFI. Smart-contract flaws, validator or operator failures, slashing and withdrawal delays can affect assets used in those products. Restaking can introduce additional dependencies on protocols and services beyond Ethereum itself. These risks do not mean every ETHFI holder is automatically exposed to a staking loss, but they matter if you use Ether.fi products. Check contract addresses and approvals carefully, and avoid signing transactions you do not understand. Do not treat a non-custodial design as a guarantee against loss.

What is ETHFI’s history and price context?

Ether.fi is associated with Ethereum liquid staking and restaking, and ETHFI is its governance token. The token’s recorded all-time high was about $8.53 on March 27, 2024; its recorded low was about $0.27 on June 5, 2026. As of November 8, 2026, ETHFI was about $0.59. These are historical and dated prices, not indications of what it may be worth next.

The supply data lists about 998.5 million ETHFI circulating against a maximum of 1 billion. The figures supplied here do not establish a complete launch timeline, allocation schedule or future release calendar. If you are assessing how the token has changed over time, separate price movements from changes in circulating supply, governance and Ether.fi’s product offering. Historical highs and lows can provide context, but neither shows whether the current price is attractive or what future demand will be.
