What does holding ARB let you do?
ARB gives you a role in Arbitrum DAO governance: you can vote on proposals or delegate your voting power. Those proposals can shape decisions about the Arbitrum ecosystem and its chains. Holding ARB does not, by itself, give you a share of network revenue or guarantee a financial return.
Arbitrum is an Ethereum layer-2 network designed to process transactions more cheaply and quickly than Ethereum mainnet. It supports apps such as decentralized exchanges and lending services. But ARB is not the token you normally use to pay transaction fees on Arbitrum: those fees are generally paid in ETH. Check the chain and app before sending tokens or signing a transaction, since an app’s own rules may differ from the network’s.
Which networks and wallets can hold ARB?
ARB exists on Arbitrum One, Ethereum and Arbitrum Nova. A wallet may show different balances depending on which network you select, so make sure the receiving wallet supports the network you intend to use. Sending ARB to an address on the wrong network can make recovery difficult or impossible.
You can keep ARB in a self-custody wallet that supports the relevant network, or use a custodial service that supports ARB deposits and withdrawals. Hardware wallets can keep signing keys offline, but you still need to confirm the network and token before approving a transfer. In self-custody, you are responsible for protecting your recovery phrase; anyone who gets it may be able to control your assets. Never share it with a person claiming to help with a transfer or governance vote.
How much ARB exists, and what changes its supply?
ARB has a maximum supply of 10 billion tokens. About 6.89 billion were circulating as of 2026-11-08; the circulating amount can change as tokens are distributed or released. Total and circulating supply are different measures, so neither alone tells you how much ARB may become available later.
Token supply matters because new tokens entering circulation can affect the balance between available supply and demand. Check current token disclosures for distribution and release information rather than assuming the remaining supply will enter circulation on a fixed timetable. ARB’s market price can also move sharply for reasons unrelated to supply, including wider crypto-market changes and developments in Arbitrum governance or its ecosystem. These figures are not a forecast of value.
How do people get ARB and move it to a wallet?
You can generally obtain ARB through a crypto exchange that lists it or through a decentralized exchange that supports the token. Availability, payment methods and withdrawal networks vary by service. If you already hold ARB, receiving it into a wallet means selecting a supported network and checking the address and token details before confirming.
Some services offer ARB withdrawals on more than one network. A deposit address alone is not enough to confirm compatibility: the sending and receiving services must support the same network. If you use a bridge to move tokens between chains, review the bridge’s supported routes and fees first. A bridge is a separate piece of software and infrastructure, not just a change to a wallet setting. This is general handling information, not a recommendation to buy or sell ARB.
What do ARB transfers and bridges cost?
ARB transfers require a network fee, but the fee is normally paid in ETH rather than ARB. On Arbitrum, ETH is used for transaction fees; on Ethereum mainnet, ETH also pays gas. Fees vary with network demand and the complexity of the transaction, so check the wallet’s estimate before confirming. A transaction involving a decentralized app may cost more than a simple token transfer.
Moving ARB between networks can add bridge costs, and you may pay fees on both the sending and receiving sides. A standard withdrawal from an optimistic rollup to Ethereum can also take longer than an ordinary transfer within Arbitrum; bridge providers may offer different timing and terms. Compare the route, estimated cost and completion time before submitting anything. No fixed ARB transfer fee applies across every wallet, network or bridge.
What could go wrong when you hold or use ARB?
ARB’s main risks include price volatility, changes to token supply and the uncertainty of governance decisions. A vote may affect the ecosystem, but there is no guarantee that a proposal will pass or produce a particular outcome. Crypto assets can lose value, and past prices do not predict future performance. ARB reached an all-time high of about $2.39 on 2024-01-12 and an all-time low of about $0.07048 on 2026-06-26.
You also face wallet, app and bridge risks. A mistaken network selection, compromised recovery phrase, malicious approval or software vulnerability can result in lost funds. Arbitrum’s optimistic-rollup design and related infrastructure have their own technical and operational risks. Before using an app or bridge, check the name and address carefully, understand what permissions you are approving, and avoid sharing your recovery phrase.

Arbitrum (ARB) is ranked #68 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $1.17B and a price of $0.1693 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $1.69B, so roughly 69% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was up 3.2% over 7 days, down 3.2% over 30 days, down 45.1% over the past year. It trades about 93% below its all-time high of $2.39, set on Jan 12, 2024.
About 6.89B ARB are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 10B (69% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $94.0M, or 8.1% of its market cap: high turnover.
ARB is the native token of Arbitrum; it also has token contracts on 2 chains we track, including Ethereum, Arbitrum Nova. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

ARB FAQs
What is ARB used for?
ARB is used for Arbitrum DAO governance, including voting on proposals and delegating voting power. Holding it does not guarantee income or a return.
Do you pay Arbitrum gas fees in ARB?
No. Transaction fees on Arbitrum are generally paid in ETH, not ARB. You may need ETH in the relevant wallet to transfer ARB or use an app.
Which networks support ARB?
ARB is available on Arbitrum One, Ethereum and Arbitrum Nova. Before sending it, confirm that both the sending and receiving services support the same network.
What is the maximum supply of ARB?
The maximum supply is 10 billion ARB. About 6.89 billion were circulating as of 2026-11-08, and the circulating figure can change over time.
How can you store ARB?
You can use a self-custody wallet that supports the relevant network or a custodial service that supports ARB. With self-custody, keep your recovery phrase private and secure.
What is the market cap of Arbitrum?
As of Nov 8, 2026, Arbitrum had a market cap of about $1.17B, ranking #68 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of ARB?
Arbitrum's all-time high is $2.39, reached on Jan 12, 2024. Its all-time low is $0.0705 (Jun 26, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
