What does holding YUSD actually mean?

YUSD is YieldFi’s yield-bearing token, designed to represent value deposited into YieldFi strategies. The project describes using stablecoins and other assets in strategies across centralized and decentralized finance. If you hold YUSD, you may be exposed to both the token’s market price and the performance and operation of those strategies; it is not the same as holding dollars in a bank account.

YieldFi promotes yield opportunities, but returns can change and are not guaranteed. A quoted or historical rate does not ensure future earnings, and a token trading near $1 does not guarantee that you can redeem it for $1. Before acquiring YUSD, check what asset you must deposit, how redemption works, and whether any strategy or withdrawal conditions apply. YieldFi does not publish a guaranteed return in the project details described here.

Which networks and wallets can you use for YUSD?

YUSD has been issued on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Sonic, Optimism, Base, Plume Mainnet and Katana. That does not mean every wallet, exchange or decentralized app supports it on every chain. Confirm the network and the exact YUSD contract address against YieldFi’s current official information before you deposit or transfer tokens.

A token migration has been reported, so old and new YUSD contracts may not be interchangeable. Do not send tokens to an address or contract based only on the ticker. Choose a wallet that supports the relevant network and lets you verify the token contract; you may also need the network’s native coin to pay transaction fees. Sending YUSD through the wrong network or to an unsupported contract can make recovery difficult or impossible. If you use a bridge or a cross-chain swap, check its terms and risks separately rather than assuming it is an official redemption route.

How much YUSD exists, and how should you store it?

About 10.9 million YUSD were reported in circulation and total supply as of November 8, 2026. A maximum supply is not published. These figures can change, so treat them as a dated snapshot rather than a fixed limit. A circulating supply figure also does not tell you how much can be redeemed at any moment or what assets back the token.

To store YUSD, use a wallet compatible with the chain where your tokens are held. Keep your recovery phrase offline and never share it with someone claiming they need it to help with a deposit, migration or withdrawal. For a transfer, first verify the network, recipient and token contract; a small test transaction may help catch an address or network mistake, though it cannot prove that a contract or service is safe. Check that you can access the correct token after sending before moving a larger amount.

What could go wrong while you hold or redeem YUSD?

YUSD carries several risks beyond ordinary price movement. YieldFi strategies may lose money, and stablecoins used in them can lose their peg. Strategies involving centralized platforms may add custody, counterparty and withdrawal risks; decentralized strategies can face smart-contract exploits, liquidations or market disruptions. Cross-chain versions also depend on the security and operation of their respective networks and any transfer mechanisms you use.

A third-party token-risk notice says the contract owner may be able to change token code or settings, including fees, minting, transfers or selling restrictions. Treat that as a reason to verify the current contract and its permissions before interacting. YieldFi’s marketing claims about past drawdowns or potential yields are not a promise of future performance. Do not commit funds you cannot afford to lose, and check redemption terms, strategy disclosures, contract controls and the status of the specific chain before relying on YUSD for a payment or reserve.

YUSD FAQs

Is YUSD a stablecoin?

YUSD is intended to provide exposure to YieldFi’s yield strategies, rather than function as an ordinary fiat-backed dollar balance. Its market price can move, and a near-$1 price does not guarantee redemption at that value.

Which chains support YUSD?

YUSD has been issued on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Sonic, Optimism, Base, Plume Mainnet and Katana. Support depends on the wallet and the specific token contract, so verify the chain and contract before sending funds.

Does YUSD guarantee a yield?

YieldFi describes YUSD as a yield-bearing token, but rates can vary and are not guaranteed. Strategy losses, changes in market conditions and platform or contract issues can affect returns and the value or availability of withdrawals.

About 10.9 million YUSD were reported in circulation and total supply as of November 8, 2026. A maximum supply is not published, and supply figures may change.
