What do you get by holding USDY?

USDY is a tokenized note secured by a portfolio of short-term U.S. Treasuries. Holding it gives you exposure to that product through a digital token; it does not make you the direct owner of specific Treasury bills. Ondo describes USDY as yield-bearing, with yield accruing daily. The rate can change, so do not treat past performance or a quoted rate as a guaranteed return.

USDY is not the same as a bank deposit or a conventional dollar stablecoin designed to stay at exactly $1. Its market price can move, and the note's terms, transfer rules and your eligibility matter. The product is intended for non-U.S. individuals and institutions, and transfers may be restricted. Before holding it, check whether you can legally acquire and transfer it where you live, and how the issuer handles redemptions and yield for your specific circumstances.

Which chains and wallets can hold USDY?

USDY is issued on Ethereum, Sei, Tempo, Mantra, Plume Mainnet, Mantle, BNB Chain, Aptos, Arbitrum, Stellar, Sui, Solana and Osmosis. It is not native to any one of these networks. The token representation and transfer method can differ by chain, so confirm that a wallet or platform supports USDY on the exact network you intend to use.

You can generally hold a token in a self-custody wallet that supports its network and token format, or keep it with a custodial service that supports USDY. Check the token identity and network before receiving funds: selecting the wrong network can make tokens difficult or impossible to recover. Do not assume a wallet’s display of a USDY balance means the wallet supports issuer-related actions such as redemption. Check Ondo’s current supported-chain and wallet instructions, and keep your recovery phrase private if you use self-custody.

How do USDY’s supply and value change?

USDY’s supply is not capped at a published maximum. As of 2026-11-08, its circulating and total supply were both about 2.07 billion tokens. The number of tokens in circulation can change as the product is issued or redeemed; yield accrual can also affect the value represented by a holding. The precise mechanics may depend on the token implementation and chain.

On that date, USDY traded at about $1.15, with a market capitalization near $2.39 billion. Its recorded all-time high was $1.26 on 2024-03-26 and its all-time low was about $0.93 on 2024-01-14. These are market figures, not a promise that USDY will stay near a dollar or rise at a particular rate. Market prices can diverge from the value of the underlying note, and liquidity can differ between networks and trading venues. Ondo has not published a maximum supply figure.

How can you obtain and store USDY?

People may obtain USDY through eligible issuer channels or through a secondary-market venue that lists it. Availability depends on your location, the venue’s rules and the issuer’s transfer restrictions. USDY is intended for non-U.S. individuals and institutions; check the current eligibility conditions and applicable local law before attempting to acquire or transfer it. Do not assume that a token listed on a trading venue is available to every customer.

For self-custody, use a wallet that supports USDY on the specific network you choose. Confirm the token and chain before sending, and consider a small test transfer if the amount and network fees make that practical. For custodial storage, check whether the provider supports deposits and withdrawals on the same network, and understand how you can access or withdraw your tokens. Keep recovery credentials offline and secure. Owning USDY in a wallet does not by itself establish that you can redeem it with the issuer.

What can a USDY transfer or bridge cost?

A USDY transfer usually requires a fee in the network’s native asset, and the amount varies with network demand and transaction complexity. A transfer on one chain does not automatically move the token to another. If you use a bridge or cross-chain service, you may pay additional fees and face separate smart-contract, liquidity and counterparty risks. There is no single USDY transfer fee that applies across all the supported networks.

Before moving a balance, check that the receiving wallet or service accepts USDY on the sending chain, and compare the total cost with the amount you plan to transfer. Use only a route that is currently supported for USDY; a generic bridge may not preserve the token’s issuer permissions or transferability. A failed or misdirected transaction can be difficult to reverse. Network fees are separate from any trading, platform or redemption charges, so check each provider’s terms before confirming.

What risks should you check before holding USDY?

USDY combines token and issuer risk with exposure to the short-term Treasury portfolio. The backing does not remove risks such as changes in market value, liquidity constraints, operational problems, custody or servicing failures, and changes to laws or transfer rules. You also rely on the issuer’s legal structure and its ability to manage the product. USDY is not a bank deposit, and you should not assume government deposit insurance applies.

Check the current offering documents for eligibility, transfer restrictions, fees, redemption terms and the way yield is calculated. Confirm that you can use the token lawfully in your location and that your wallet or venue supports your intended chain. A wrong-network transfer, compromised wallet or unsafe bridge can lead to loss. USDY’s launch date is not established here; its recorded price history includes a high of $1.26 on 2024-03-26 and a low of about $0.93 on 2024-01-14. Past prices do not guarantee future value or liquidity.
