What does holding NEXO get you?

NEXO is the utility token of the Nexo crypto-finance platform. Holding it may qualify you for Nexo Loyalty Program benefits, but the value depends on your account tier, location and the platform’s current terms.

Nexo lists benefits such as higher rates on some digital-asset balances, reduced borrowing rates, and crypto cashback on eligible trades or card spending. It also says customers can earn up to 12% annual interest on NEXO held in certain Nexo account wallets. “Up to” is not a guaranteed rate: eligibility, rates and conditions can change, and returns involve platform and custody risk.

The token does not give you ownership of Nexo or a claim on its profits. Its usefulness is mainly tied to the platform, so consider whether you would use the services and whether the terms are available to you before holding NEXO for its perks. You can also hold the token without using Nexo, but then its platform benefits may not apply.

Which networks and wallets support NEXO?

NEXO is issued on Ethereum, Fantom and Polygon. It is not the native gas token of those networks; you need the relevant network’s own token to pay transaction fees when moving NEXO on-chain. Nexo’s wallet support also lists routes involving BNB Smart Chain and Avalanche, but supported deposit and withdrawal networks can change and may differ by feature or account.

Before sending, check the network shown by both the sending service and the receiving wallet. The token and network must match exactly: sending a token on an unsupported chain can delay recovery or lead to permanent loss. A ticker alone is not enough to identify the right asset.

You can keep NEXO in a self-custody wallet that supports the token on the network you use, or in a Nexo account if the token and network are supported there. With self-custody, you control the keys and are responsible for protecting the recovery phrase. With a platform account, the provider controls the keys and access depends on its account and withdrawal policies.

How much NEXO exists, and what can move its value?

NEXO has a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens; the stated circulating and total supplies are also 1 billion. That fixed ceiling does not make the token’s market price stable. Demand can change with interest in Nexo’s services, the perceived value of loyalty benefits, trading activity, broader crypto-market conditions and confidence in the company and its custody model.

As of 2026-11-08, NEXO traded at about $0.73, with a market capitalization of about $731 million. These figures can move quickly and are not a valuation or forecast. Nexo’s platform terms and token-related benefits can also change, affecting how useful holders consider the token to be.

Check the token contract and circulating supply through a reliable wallet or exchange interface before making a transfer. Supply figures can be displayed differently across networks, especially where tokens are represented on more than one chain. A displayed balance or market figure does not guarantee you can withdraw or sell at that price.

How can you get and store NEXO?

You can generally obtain NEXO through a crypto exchange that lists it, or receive it from another wallet. Availability depends on your country, the exchange and the network it supports. Check the exact token and withdrawal network before sending funds; a listing for NEXO does not mean every exchange supports every NEXO network.

To store it, choose between self-custody and a platform account. A self-custody wallet gives you control of the private keys, but losing your recovery phrase or signing a malicious transaction can put your tokens beyond recovery. Keep the phrase offline and never share it. A custodial account may be simpler, but you rely on the provider to secure assets, process withdrawals and keep the account accessible.

If you hold NEXO in a Nexo account to qualify for benefits, check the current account tier rules, eligible wallet balance and regional availability. Nexo’s advertised maximum rates and perks are not universal guarantees. Don’t deposit more than you can afford to have inaccessible or lose.

What does it cost to move NEXO?

An on-chain NEXO transfer usually requires a network fee paid in that chain’s gas token. The amount varies with network congestion and transaction complexity; it is separate from the NEXO amount you send. Exchanges and custodial platforms may also set withdrawal fees, minimums or processing rules, so check the final confirmation screen before approving a transfer.

Moving NEXO between networks may involve a bridge or an exchange that supports both networks. Bridges add another point of failure: smart-contract vulnerabilities, operational problems or a mistaken destination can put funds at risk. Do not assume that a token displayed with the NEXO ticker on one chain can be sent directly to a different chain.

For a first transfer, verify the receiving address and network, and consider sending a small test amount if the fees make that practical. Nexo’s account-specific withdrawal and transfer charges can vary; check the terms shown for your transaction rather than relying on an old fee estimate.

What risks should you check before holding NEXO?

NEXO combines token risk with the risks of relying on a centralized financial platform. If you keep tokens in a Nexo account, you may face withdrawal restrictions, account access problems, changes to services or counterparty risk. In self-custody, you avoid relying on that account for access but take on responsibility for keys, wallet security and correct network selection.

The token’s usefulness is tied in part to platform features and eligibility. Rates, loyalty benefits and service availability can change, and the token price can fall regardless of any advertised benefit. Nexo does not guarantee that holding NEXO will preserve your capital or produce a particular return. Review the terms that apply in your jurisdiction and distinguish promotional maximums from rates available to your account.

NEXO reached an all-time high of about $4.07 on 2021-05-12 and an all-time low of about $0.045 on 2018-09-12. Past prices do not indicate future performance. Nexo began operating in 2018; check current platform terms and token support before relying on it for a specific use.
