What can you use Hex Trust USD for?
Hex Trust USD (USDX) is a stablecoin designed to track the US dollar. Hex Trust says it is backed at least 1:1 by cash and cash-equivalent reserves, and describes payments, settlement and smart-contract interactions as uses for the token. In practice, you can use USDX to move a dollar-denominated balance between supported blockchain applications, but its market price can still move away from $1.
USDX is issued by HT Digital Asset, Hex Trust’s issuance arm. It is not a native coin for a blockchain: it is issued on Ethereum, Songbird and Flare. That distinction matters when you choose a wallet or send a transfer, because you need to use the network on which your USDX is held.
Treat the peg as a design goal, not a guaranteed cash-out price. A token trading near $1 does not by itself prove that you can redeem it directly for dollars or that every holder is eligible to do so.
Which networks and wallets support USDX?
USDX is issued on Ethereum, Songbird and Flare. To hold or send it, choose a wallet that supports the relevant network and the USDX token contract on that network. A wallet that supports Ethereum, for example, may not automatically show or manage your balance on Songbird or Flare; add the correct network and token details using information from an official Hex Trust channel.
Before sending, check the network, recipient address and token contract carefully. The same token name or ticker can be used by unrelated assets, and choosing the wrong network can make funds difficult or impossible to recover. A transfer between two networks is not automatic: moving USDX across chains may require a supported bridge or other transfer service, each with its own risks.
Keep the network’s transaction fee in its native asset. USDX is not a substitute for gas, so you may need ETH on Ethereum or the appropriate native fee token on Songbird or Flare to make a transfer. Confirm the wallet’s network and fee requirements before moving a substantial amount.
How is USDX backed, and how many tokens exist?
USDX is created through minting: Hex Trust says authorised merchants deposit US dollars and receive an equivalent amount of USDX. The issuer describes a reserve of at least one US dollar, or an asset of equivalent fair value, for each token minted. That is the stated backing model; it does not tell you whether you personally can redeem tokens for dollars, what conditions apply, or how quickly a redemption would be processed. Check Hex Trust’s current reserve disclosures and redemption terms before relying on direct redemption.
As of November 8, 2026, circulating and total supply were both about 19.83 million USDX. No maximum supply is listed. The market price was about $0.99 on that date, but exchange prices are not the same as an issuer redemption value and can vary by venue. Supply can also change as tokens are minted or removed, so treat these figures as a dated snapshot rather than a fixed limit.
How should you store USDX safely?
For a smaller balance you use regularly, a reputable software wallet may be convenient. For a longer-term holding, consider a hardware wallet that supports the relevant network and token. In either case, confirm that the wallet can display and send USDX on the particular chain you use; having an address on one network does not mean the wallet is configured for all three.
Use this checklist before storing or transferring USDX:
- Verify the token contract and network through an official Hex Trust channel.
- Keep your recovery phrase offline and private; never share it with someone claiming to help you claim, unlock or verify tokens.
- Test a new address or network with a small transfer first.
- Keep enough of the network’s native fee token for transactions.
- Be cautious with sites and smart contracts asking you to connect your wallet or approve token spending.
A self-custody wallet puts recovery phrase security in your hands. If you lose the phrase or approve a malicious transaction, a wallet provider may not be able to reverse the loss.
What can go wrong when you hold USDX?
The main risk is that USDX may not trade at $1 or be redeemable by you at par when you need it. Its price was about $0.99 on November 8, 2026; its recorded all-time high was $1.34 on May 7, 2025, and its all-time low was $0.53504 on June 6, 2025. Those market prices show that a dollar peg is not a promise of an unchanging exchange price. Reported 24-hour trading volume was about $748 on November 8, 2026, so check order-book depth and the price impact before a large trade.
You also rely on the issuer’s reserve management, custody arrangements and ability to meet redemptions. The reserve claim does not remove issuer, counterparty or regulatory risk. On-chain, a wrong-network transfer, compromised wallet, faulty contract or risky bridge can cause separate losses even if the peg holds.
Before using USDX, check current reserve disclosures, redemption eligibility, trading liquidity and the exact chain and token contract. Do not treat a stablecoin as a bank deposit or assume that a secondary-market quote guarantees a cash redemption.
By the numbers
Hex Trust USD in numbers
Hex Trust USD (USDX) is ranked #832 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $19.6M and a price of $0.9899 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($19.6M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was down 0.1% over 7 days, down 0.3% over 30 days, down 0.6% over the past year. It trades about 26% below its all-time high of $1.34, set on May 7, 2025.
About 19.83M USDX are in circulation. No hard maximum supply is listed, so new tokens can still be issued.
24-hour trading volume was about $748, or 0.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
USDX has token contracts on 3 chains we track, including Ethereum, Songbird, Flare. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

USDX FAQs
Is Hex Trust USD always worth $1?
USDX is designed to track the US dollar, and Hex Trust describes a reserve backing of at least 1:1. Its market price can still deviate from $1, and a market quote does not guarantee a direct dollar redemption.
Which blockchains is USDX on?
USDX is issued on Ethereum, Songbird and Flare. Use a wallet configured for the specific network where your tokens are held, and verify the token contract before receiving or sending funds.
What is the supply of USDX?
As of November 8, 2026, circulating and total supply were both about 19.83 million USDX. No maximum supply is listed, and the amount can change as tokens are minted or removed.
Can you redeem USDX for US dollars?
Hex Trust says authorised merchants deposit US dollars to mint an equivalent amount of USDX. That does not establish that every token holder can redeem directly; check the issuer’s current eligibility rules and redemption terms.
What wallet can hold USDX?
You can use a wallet that supports the network and the USDX token contract, including a suitable self-custody wallet. Keep your recovery phrase private, verify the network before sending, and hold the network’s native fee token for transactions.
