What can you do with AUDIO?
AUDIO is the token used within the Audius streaming protocol. Holding it may matter if you want to participate in governance, stake tokens for network security, or access platform features. Artists, fans and node operators may also earn AUDIO for contributing to the platform.
Those uses do not make AUDIO a share in Audius or guarantee income. Governance participation depends on the project’s current rules, while staking and feature access may have eligibility requirements. Check the terms in the app or protocol before committing tokens; rewards, lockups and withdrawal conditions can change. Audius does not publish a guaranteed return for holding AUDIO.
If you mainly want to listen to music, check which features are available without the token before buying any. If you want to use AUDIO for staking or governance, understand the process and risks first. A token’s utility can depend on ongoing participation and the health of the platform, while its market price can move independently of how often people use Audius.
Which network should your AUDIO wallet support?
AUDIO is issued on Ethereum and Solana. It is not listed as the native token of either chain, so make sure your wallet and the service you use support AUDIO on the specific network you select. A token sent on the wrong network may not arrive in a form you can access.
Before depositing or withdrawing, check the network shown by both the sending and receiving services. For self-custody, use a wallet that supports the relevant chain and verify the token details against a trusted Audius source. Do not rely on a token name or ticker alone: another token can use the same name or symbol.
If you hold AUDIO on more than one network, keep track of which network each balance is on. Moving tokens between chains may involve a bridge or other service; check its terms, supported networks and risks before using it. Never share your recovery phrase or private key with a site or person claiming to help with a transfer.
How much AUDIO is in circulation?
As of 2026-11-08, AUDIO’s circulating supply was about 1.47 billion tokens, with total supply also about 1.47 billion. The project has not published a maximum supply figure, so you should not assume there is a fixed cap.
Supply figures can change through token issuance, distributions or other protocol decisions. If supply is important to your decision, check the token’s current on-chain information and Audius governance materials rather than relying on an old figure. The supply number alone does not tell you how much AUDIO is available to trade: some tokens may be staked or held rather than offered for sale.
AUDIO’s market value can also change sharply. A large circulating supply does not, by itself, indicate whether a token is cheap or expensive. Consider the token’s purpose, how it is used, and the possibility of losing value before deciding whether to hold it.
How should you store AUDIO, and what can go wrong?
For self-custody, choose a wallet that supports the network your AUDIO is on, then store its recovery phrase offline in a secure place. Anyone with that phrase can control the wallet. Never enter it into a website or share it with someone claiming to offer support. Consider a small test transfer before sending a larger amount, and confirm the destination address and network each time.
AUDIO carries market risk: its price can fall, and the token may be harder to sell when trading activity is low. Staking adds operational risks, including changing rules or loss of access while tokens are committed; read the current staking terms before proceeding. Smart-contract, bridge and wallet risks can also lead to lost funds. Audius does not publish a maximum supply figure, and token use or demand may change over time.
Keep only the amount you are prepared to risk in services or wallets you do not fully control. Be wary of unsolicited messages, fake claim pages and promises of guaranteed AUDIO rewards.
