What does holding HNT let you do?
HNT connects you to the Helium network’s wireless infrastructure economy. Hotspot operators can earn HNT for contributing wireless coverage and validating it; network use can also create demand for Data Credits, which are used to pay for device connectivity. HNT can be converted into Data Credits, and the network’s token model uses HNT in connection with network activity. Staking may also give holders a role in network governance, subject to Helium’s current rules.
Holding HNT does not itself provide wireless service or guarantee rewards. If you operate a hotspot, returns depend on factors such as coverage, eligible activity and reward rules—not simply on owning tokens. Check whether Helium has useful coverage where you are and what equipment and operating costs apply before treating hotspot participation as a way to earn HNT.
Which chain and wallet support HNT?
HNT is issued on Solana as an SPL token. It is not Solana’s native token, so you need a wallet or exchange that specifically supports HNT on the Solana network. A Solana-compatible wallet may work, but check the token and network selection before receiving or sending funds; the same ticker can appear on other networks as a wrapped or bridged asset.
You can hold HNT on a supporting exchange or in a self-custody wallet. With self-custody, you control the recovery phrase and are responsible for keeping it private and backed up. A hardware wallet can add offline key storage if it supports the relevant Solana account and token. Never share a recovery phrase to get help or claim rewards. If you are moving HNT from an older Helium setup or a different network, confirm the official migration or bridge route and destination support first; a transfer to the wrong network may be difficult or impossible to recover.
How much HNT exists, and what can move it?
HNT has a stated maximum supply of 223 million tokens. The circulating and total supply were both about 200.9 million as of 2026-11-08, so the reported amount was below that cap. Supply figures can change as tokens are issued, burned or reclassified; check a current token record before relying on a balance or percentage.
Demand can be affected by how much Helium network service is used, whether hotspot operators find participation worthwhile, and whether users want HNT for Data Credits or other network functions. Token emissions and reward rules also matter: more tokens entering circulation can affect available supply, while HNT burned to create Data Credits reduces tokens in circulation. These mechanisms do not guarantee that network growth will raise HNT’s market price.
As a dated snapshot, HNT traded at about $0.27 on 2026-11-08. It was down about 89% over the prior year, showing how sharply its market value can move. Treat those figures as historical, not as a forecast.
How can you get and store HNT?
People generally obtain HNT through a cryptocurrency exchange that lists the Solana version, by receiving it from another holder, or through eligible participation in Helium’s network. Availability and identity checks vary by platform and location. If you consider hotspot participation, first confirm the equipment requirements, local coverage, operating expenses and current reward terms; buying hardware does not guarantee that it will earn HNT.
For storage, decide whether you prefer an exchange account or self-custody. An exchange holds the keys for you, while a self-custody wallet puts key management on you. In either case, confirm that HNT deposits and withdrawals use Solana and check any minimums or withdrawal restrictions before transferring. Keep a small amount of SOL in a self-custody wallet for Solana transaction fees. Store recovery information offline and do not enter it into a site or app reached through an unsolicited message.
What does it cost to move HNT?
A transfer of HNT on Solana requires a network fee paid in SOL, not HNT. Solana fees are generally low compared with many blockchain networks, but the exact amount can vary with network conditions and wallet or exchange charges. An exchange may set its own withdrawal fee or minimum, separate from the on-chain fee; check the amount shown before confirming.
Moving HNT between networks can add costs and risks. A bridge may charge a fee, and the destination may receive a wrapped representation rather than the original Solana token. You may also need the destination network’s native token to move or exchange that representation later. Check that the bridge, token contract and receiving wallet support the exact asset and network you intend to use. Do not assume a cheaper route is safer, and consider testing a small transfer when you are unfamiliar with a route. Helium does not publish a single fee that covers every wallet, exchange and bridge.
What risks should HNT holders check?
HNT combines cryptocurrency price risk with the practical risks of a physical wireless network. Coverage and usefulness can vary by location, and hotspot rewards depend on network rules and eligible activity. Equipment, internet service, electricity and maintenance can cost money even if rewards are low or stop. Review current operator requirements rather than relying on old reward estimates.
The token’s market value can change quickly, as its large one-year decline by 2026-11-08 illustrates. Supply and reward rules can change the number of tokens available, while demand for network services may not match expectations. There is no guaranteed return from holding HNT, staking it or operating a hotspot.
For self-custody, loss of your recovery phrase or a mistaken transfer can mean permanent loss. Verify network and address details, beware of fake support and reward-claim messages, and do not connect a wallet or sign a transaction you do not understand. Keep only funds you can afford to lose exposed to these risks.
What is HNT’s history?
Helium’s model grew around community-operated hotspots that provide wireless coverage for connected devices. The project describes operators as earning tokens for contributing and validating coverage, with network activity also generating transaction-related value. The exact reward structure and equipment economics can change, so older descriptions may not match current participation rules.
HNT later moved onto Solana in 2023, making Solana the network to check when sending the current token. Helium’s original launch date is not established here, so a precise start date is not included. HNT reached a recorded all-time high of about $54.88 on 2021-11-12; its reported price was about $0.27 as of 2026-11-08. That gap is a reminder that historical highs are not a guide to future performance. If you hold an older token representation, verify its migration status and use a current supported route before moving it.
By the numbers
Helium in numbers
Helium (HNT) is ranked #409 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $55.1M and a price of $0.2743 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($55.1M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was down 23.3% over 7 days, down 47.3% over 30 days, down 89.0% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $54.88, set on Nov 12, 2021.
About 200.89M HNT are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 223M (90% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $3.11M, or 5.7% of its market cap: moderate turnover.
HNT has token contracts on Solana. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

HNT FAQs
Is HNT a Solana token?
HNT is issued on Solana as an SPL token. It is not SOL, so you need SOL in a self-custody wallet to pay Solana network fees.
What is HNT used for?
HNT can be converted into Data Credits, which are used to pay for network activity such as device connectivity. Hotspot operators may also earn HNT for contributing eligible wireless coverage, but rewards are not guaranteed.
What is HNT’s maximum supply?
The stated maximum supply is 223 million HNT. Circulating and total supply were both about 200.9 million as of 2026-11-08; supply figures can change over time.
Which wallet can hold HNT?
You can use a wallet that supports Solana SPL tokens or an exchange that supports HNT deposits and withdrawals on Solana. Confirm the network before transferring and protect your recovery phrase if you use self-custody.
Do you need SOL to send HNT?
A Solana transfer fee is paid in SOL, and the amount can vary. Exchanges and bridges may add their own charges, so check the transaction details before confirming.

What is the all-time high of HNT?
Helium's all-time high is $54.88, reached on Nov 12, 2021. Its all-time low is $0.1132 (Apr 17, 2020). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of HNT?
As of Nov 8, 2026, about 200.89M HNT were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 223M.
Which blockchains is HNT on?
It has token contracts on Solana.
