What does holding PEAQ let you do?

PEAQ is the native token of the peaq blockchain, a network designed to support decentralized physical infrastructure and machine-to-machine activity. The clearest stated use for PEAQ is paying transaction fees on peaq. If you use an application on the network, you may need PEAQ to submit transactions, just as you need a network’s native token to pay its gas fees.

Peaq’s wider system is intended to give machines and devices verifiable identities, wallets, portable reputation and ways to coordinate across chains. That describes what the network aims to enable; simply holding PEAQ does not automatically give you a machine identity, income, access to a specific service or a share of a project. No automatic holder benefit beyond the token’s network role is specified.

Before you acquire or move PEAQ, check which network the token is on and what the receiving application supports. PEAQ on peaq is not necessarily interchangeable in a wallet with a token representation on another chain. A wrong-network transfer can be difficult or impossible to recover.

Which chains and wallets can hold PEAQ?

PEAQ is native to the peaq blockchain. It is also issued on BNB Chain, Solana, Ethereum and Base, so you may encounter PEAQ assets on several networks. The peaq chain is described as a Substrate chain with EVM support, but wallet compatibility still depends on the network and the specific wallet you use.

For native PEAQ, use a wallet that supports peaq. For a token on another network, use a wallet that supports that network and confirm the token contract or asset details against a trusted source before receiving or sending it. A wallet address format alone is not proof that the asset is on the right chain.

When withdrawing from a platform, select the exact network supported by the destination wallet. Do not assume a PEAQ token on Ethereum, for example, will arrive as native PEAQ on peaq. Check whether the destination service accepts that chain and asset, and make a small test transfer when appropriate. Losing access to your recovery phrase or signing a malicious transaction can also put tokens at risk.

How much PEAQ exists, and what can move its value?

As of 2026-11-08, PEAQ had about 2.60 billion tokens circulating, around 4.46 billion in total supply and a stated maximum supply of about 5.67 billion. The difference between circulating and total supply means not all tokens counted in total supply were circulating at that date. Supply figures can change, so check current figures before relying on them.

On that date, PEAQ’s market price was about $0.029 and its market capitalization was about $75 million. Its all-time high was about $0.75 on 2024-12-10, and its recorded all-time low was about $0.012 on 2026-03-14. These are historical figures, not a guide to what the token may be worth next.

Newly circulating tokens, demand for network use, market conditions and trading liquidity can all affect price. The circulating supply can also change as tokens enter circulation. A maximum supply does not protect the price from falling, and market capitalization is not the amount of cash that holders could collectively withdraw.

How do you get and store PEAQ?

You can generally obtain a token through a centralized exchange that lists it or through an on-chain swap where the correct PEAQ asset is supported. Availability depends on your location, the platform and the network. No particular exchange or route is specified here, so check the venue’s supported networks and withdrawal rules before committing funds. This is practical information, not a recommendation to buy.

For self-custody, choose a wallet that supports the relevant chain, then back up its recovery phrase offline. Never share that phrase or a private key with a support agent, website or anyone promising to help. A wallet app may display multiple PEAQ assets; verify the network and token details rather than relying only on the ticker.

If you leave PEAQ with a platform, the platform controls the keys and may restrict withdrawals. If you self-custody, you are responsible for protecting access and choosing the correct network. Keep enough of the relevant network’s fee token for future transfers; holding PEAQ on a separate chain may not cover fees on peaq.

What can a PEAQ transfer cost?

A PEAQ transfer can involve more than one cost. On peaq, PEAQ is used to pay transaction fees, and the amount depends on the transaction and network conditions. Transfers on BNB Chain, Solana, Ethereum or Base use the fee system of that network; you may need its native gas token even when the asset being sent is PEAQ. Fees can vary, and Ethereum transactions can become more expensive when the network is busy.

Moving tokens between chains may also require a bridge or another cross-chain service. Such a route can charge its own fees in addition to the source- and destination-network fees, and it introduces extra operational and smart-contract risks. The exact costs depend on the service, networks and conditions at the time; there is no single PEAQ transfer fee that applies everywhere.

Before confirming, check the selected network, the amount you will receive after fees and whether the destination supports that exact PEAQ asset. A transfer sent to an incompatible network or address may not be recoverable.

What are the main risks of holding PEAQ?

PEAQ is a volatile crypto asset. Its recorded price moved from an all-time high of about $0.75 in December 2024 to an all-time low of about $0.012 in March 2026, illustrating how sharply its market value can change. A large circulating or maximum supply does not prevent losses, and trading volume can affect how easily you can transact at a desired price.

There are also network and custody risks. Sending the wrong PEAQ version to an unsupported chain, using an untrusted bridge, signing a harmful transaction or losing your wallet recovery phrase can result in permanent loss. A token with the same ticker on a different chain may not be the asset you intended to receive.

Peaq’s stated ambitions for machine identities, reputation and cross-chain coordination do not guarantee adoption or token demand. Before relying on a particular application, check which network it uses, what role PEAQ plays in that application, and what permissions a wallet transaction grants. Do not assume that token ownership carries governance, revenue or other rights unless the relevant project documents explicitly say so.

What is peaq building, and where does PEAQ fit?

Peaq is designed as a coordination layer for machines, devices, vehicles, robots and AI agents to act as economic participants. Its system is described in three parts: peaqOS for onboarding machines, a trust layer for coordination and reputation, and a service layer intended to connect machines to external services. The project also describes itself as chain-neutral, with the goal of letting applications discover and interact with machines across supported chains.

PEAQ is the native token within this network and is used for transaction fees on peaq. The project’s wider vision includes machine payments and tokenized machine activity, but those goals should not be mistaken for guaranteed uses or returns for every PEAQ holder.

A launch date is not specified here. The recorded price history includes an all-time high on 2024-12-10 and an all-time low on 2026-03-14. If you are assessing the project, distinguish the network’s intended functions from working services you can actually use, and verify the relevant application and chain before interacting.

PEAQ FAQs

What is PEAQ used for?

PEAQ is used to pay transaction fees on the peaq blockchain. Holding the token does not by itself guarantee access to a particular machine service, income or governance rights.

Which networks support PEAQ?

PEAQ is native to peaq and is also issued on BNB Chain, Solana, Ethereum and Base. Confirm the exact network and asset before sending, because tokens on different chains are not automatically interchangeable.

How do I store PEAQ safely?

Use a wallet that supports the chain where your PEAQ is held. Back up your recovery phrase offline, and never share it or sign transactions you do not understand.

Does it cost money to transfer PEAQ?

Fees depend on the network and transaction. A transfer on another chain uses that chain’s fee system, while a cross-chain move may also involve bridge or service charges.

What is the maximum supply of PEAQ?

As of 2026-11-08, about 2.60 billion PEAQ were circulating, out of roughly 4.46 billion total supply. The stated maximum supply was about 5.67 billion; supply figures can change.
