What does holding TFUEL let you do?

TFUEL is the operational token of the Theta protocol. You use it to pay for on-chain activity, including smart-contract interactions and payments to relayers that share video streams with other users. If you relay streams on the network, TFUEL is also the token you may earn for that work. In that sense, holding TFUEL can cover network use or let you participate in the protocol’s video-delivery economy; it does not give you ownership of Theta or guarantee earnings. TFUEL is distinct from THETA, Theta’s other token, so check the ticker and network carefully when receiving or sending either one. If you do not use Theta’s services or applications, the token’s practical use to you may be limited to holding or transferring it.

Which chain and wallet should you use for TFUEL?

TFUEL is native to the Theta blockchain. That is the network to select when sending or receiving native TFUEL; do not assume an address or deposit route for another chain will work. Use a wallet that explicitly supports Theta Mainnet and TFUEL, or keep it with a crypto exchange that supports TFUEL deposits and withdrawals. Before transferring, check the destination’s network instructions and whether it expects native TFUEL or a token representation on another chain. A token with the same ticker on a different network may not be interchangeable with native TFUEL. For self-custody, keep your recovery phrase offline and private: anyone who obtains it may be able to control the wallet. A test transfer can help catch address or network mistakes, but it still incurs a network fee.

How much TFUEL exists, and what can move its value?

TFUEL has no maximum supply specified. The reported circulating supply was about 7.52 billion, with total supply about 7.52 billion, as of 2026-11-08. The figures indicate that nearly all of the reported total was circulating at that snapshot, but they do not tell you how future issuance or changes to supply will work. TFUEL’s role is to pay for protocol operations, including transactions and relayer payments; the token’s demand can therefore be affected by use of those services as well as broader crypto-market conditions. As a dated market snapshot, TFUEL traded at about $0.0076, with a market capitalization of about $56.9 million, on 2026-11-08. These figures can change quickly and are not a forecast or a measure of what you should pay.

How can you get and store TFUEL?

You can generally obtain TFUEL through a crypto exchange that lists it, or receive it from another holder. Availability and withdrawal support vary by service and location. If you use an exchange, check that it supports TFUEL withdrawals on Theta Mainnet before relying on it as a way to move tokens to a personal wallet. In self-custody, use a wallet that supports the Theta network and keep your recovery phrase somewhere secure and offline. Never share the phrase or enter it into a site or message claiming to provide support. For any transfer, confirm the ticker, network, destination address and any memo or tag the receiving service requires. A wrong-network transfer or a mistaken address can result in a loss that may not be reversible. This is general handling information, not a recommendation to buy TFUEL.

What does it cost to move TFUEL?

When you use TFUEL on Theta Mainnet, the network fee is paid in TFUEL. The exact cost can depend on the action and network conditions, so check the fee shown by your wallet before confirming; no single fixed transfer fee applies to every transaction. Sending TFUEL between two addresses on the same network is different from moving a token representation across a bridge. A bridge can add its own fees and introduces extra smart-contract and operational risks. Do not assume that a bridged or wrapped TFUEL token is native TFUEL or can be returned to Theta Mainnet without an additional step. Exchanges may also charge withdrawal fees or set minimum withdrawal amounts separately from the network fee. Check both the exchange’s terms and the destination network before you send.

What could go wrong if you hold TFUEL?

TFUEL’s main risks include price volatility, changes in network use, and the possibility that Theta’s services do not attract enough activity to support demand for the token. A token’s role as network gas does not guarantee that its market value will rise or remain stable. You also face operational risks: sending on the wrong network, losing your wallet recovery phrase, or using an exchange that suspends deposits or withdrawals. Bridged versions add smart-contract and bridge risks. As with other crypto assets, custody arrangements and network software can change, so verify current support before making a transfer. The reported price was about $0.0076 on 2026-11-08; that snapshot can become outdated quickly. Only keep an amount you can afford to lose, and do not treat past prices or protocol utility as a promise of future performance.

What is TFUEL’s history?

TFUEL was created as a native token of the Theta blockchain at the network’s Mainnet launch on March 15; the launch year is not specified here. Its intended role is to pay for network operations such as smart-contract activity and payments to video-stream relayers. Historical market prices show how sharply its value has moved: the recorded all-time high was about $0.682 on 2021-06-08, while the recorded all-time low was about $0.00091 on 2020-03-12. On 2026-11-08, the reported price was about $0.0076. These past extremes provide context, not a prediction or a measure of what TFUEL should be worth now. If you are assessing the token, distinguish its continuing use within Theta from the separate question of whether market demand will support its price.
