Owning ENA: Uses, Storage and Risks
ENA is Ethena’s governance token, distinct from its USDe and sUSDe products. Here’s what holding, storing and transferring ENA involves, including the main risks.

What does holding ENA give you?
Holding ENA gives you exposure to Ethena’s governance token, not a claim on USDe or its returns. ENA holders can participate in protocol governance by voting on proposals; the exact proposals and voting rules depend on Ethena’s current governance process. ENA is not the same token as USDe, Ethena’s synthetic dollar, or sUSDe, a reward-bearing version of USDe. Holding ENA alone does not mean you earn sUSDe rewards or receive a fixed income. Before counting on a governance right, check the current rules for eligibility, voting power and delegated votes. ENA may suit you if you want a voice in protocol decisions, but its value can still move independently of how USDe or sUSDe performs. Governance influence is not ownership of Ethena’s assets, a guarantee of profits, or protection against losses.
Which networks and wallets support ENA?
ENA is deployed across Ethereum, Zircuit, Fraxtal, Metis, Scroll, Arbitrum, Manta, Avalanche, zkSync Era, TON, Mantle, Kava, Base, Optimism, Swellchain, Mode, Blast and Solana. It is not identified as the native token of any one of these chains. Wallet support depends on both the network and the specific ENA token contract, so confirm both before receiving or sending tokens. An EVM-compatible wallet may support several listed EVM networks, but that does not mean it automatically supports Solana or TON. Keep the network selected in your wallet consistent with the network used by the exchange or other person sending ENA. If tokens do not appear, adding the correct token contract may be necessary; never use an address from an unverified message. A hardware wallet can keep signing keys offline, but it still requires a compatible app and network settings.
How much ENA exists, and can supply change?
As of 2026-11-08, ENA’s reported circulating supply is 13.5 billion, with 15 billion total and 15 billion maximum. That means 1.5 billion tokens are not included in the circulating figure, but the supply totals alone do not tell you when or how those tokens may enter circulation. Check Ethena’s current token schedule for unlocks and any changes to distribution; new tokens becoming tradable can affect supply and market conditions. The maximum supply is a cap, not a promise that the circulating amount will stay fixed. As with other crypto tokens, market price is shaped by trading demand, available supply and wider market conditions. Don’t treat governance participation or the existence of a supply cap as a price guarantee.
How do people get and store ENA?
You can generally obtain ENA through a crypto service that supports the token, or receive it from another holder. Availability, identity checks and payment methods vary by service and location. If you withdraw to a personal wallet, match the withdrawal network to the receiving wallet’s network and confirm the token contract. A transfer to the wrong chain or an unsupported address may be difficult or impossible to recover. For self-custody, protect your recovery phrase offline and never share it with a person or website claiming to help. For exchange custody, review the service’s withdrawal and account-security rules; you do not control the private keys directly. Whether you hold ENA yourself or with a service, test that the wallet or platform supports the exact network you intend to use before moving a large amount.
What can an ENA transfer cost, and what can go wrong?
Sending ENA usually means paying the network’s transaction fee in that chain’s native asset. The fee changes with network congestion and is separate from the amount of ENA you send. Moving ENA between chains may require a bridge or a service that handles cross-chain transfers; these can add fees, delays and extra smart-contract or provider risk. Compare the sending and receiving networks carefully, and check the fee and final amount before confirming. ENA’s wider risks include sharp price changes, governance decisions that may not go your way, and software or custody failures. Ethena’s USDe system also involves derivatives and carries risks such as counterparty, custody and depeg risks. These are risks to the broader ecosystem, not a promise that ENA holders receive USDe or sUSDe. No network fee or transfer time is fixed across all chains.
What is ENA’s history, and how volatile has it been?
Ethena launched in 2024, and ENA is associated with governance of the protocol. The project also offers USDe and reward-bearing sUSDe, but those products are distinct from ENA. As of 2026-11-08, ENA’s reported price was about $0.15, its market capitalization about $2.08 billion and its fully diluted valuation about $2.32 billion. These figures can change quickly and are not a forecast. The token’s recorded all-time high was $1.52 on 2024-04-11, and its all-time low was about $0.07 on 2026-06-30. Those past extremes show how much the quoted price has varied; they do not indicate where it may go next. If you are assessing ENA, separate the token’s governance role from the operation and risks of Ethena’s dollar products.
By the numbers
Ethena in numbers
Ethena (ENA) is ranked #44 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $2.08B and a price of $0.1544 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $2.32B, so roughly 90% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was down 17.2% over 7 days, down 27.0% over 30 days, down 53.4% over the past year. It trades about 90% below its all-time high of $1.52, set on Apr 11, 2024.
About 13.5B ENA are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 15B (90% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $165M, or 7.9% of its market cap: moderate turnover.
ENA has token contracts on 18 chains we track, including Ethereum, Zircuit, Fraxtal, Metis. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
ENA is linked to Ethena, which we cover in our Basis Trading rankings. See our Ethena page for how the protocol works and how we score it.

ENA FAQs
What is ENA used for?
ENA is used for governance, including voting on protocol proposals. Holding ENA does not by itself give you USDe or sUSDe, or guarantee income.
Which networks is ENA on?
ENA is deployed on Ethereum and multiple other networks, including Arbitrum, Base, Solana and TON. Check the exact network and token contract in your wallet before sending or receiving it.
Does holding ENA earn USDe or sUSDe yield?
No. ENA is Ethena’s governance token, while USDe is its synthetic dollar and sUSDe is a reward-bearing version of USDe. Holding ENA alone does not mean you earn sUSDe rewards.
What fees do you pay to send ENA?
A transfer generally requires a fee paid in the network’s native asset. The amount varies with network congestion, and using a bridge can add fees and extra risks.
What is ENA’s maximum supply?
As of 2026-11-08, ENA’s reported maximum supply is 15 billion, with 13.5 billion circulating. The circulating figure can change, so check Ethena’s current token schedule for information about future releases.
What is the market cap of Ethena?
As of Nov 8, 2026, Ethena had a market cap of about $2.08B, ranking #44 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of ENA?
Ethena's all-time high is $1.52, reached on Apr 11, 2024. Its all-time low is $0.0702 (Jun 30, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of ENA?
As of Nov 8, 2026, about 13.5B ENA were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 15B.
Which blockchains is ENA on?
It has token contracts on Ethereum, Zircuit, Fraxtal, Metis, Scroll, Arbitrum, Manta, Avalanche and 10 more.
