What does holding ROLL actually do?
ROLL is RollX’s utility and governance token. RollX is a decentralised trading platform focused on perpetual futures, with spot trading and liquidity tools also described as part of its ecosystem. The project says ROLL is intended to support governance, incentives for traders and liquidity providers, and future protocol features.
That does not mean holding ROLL automatically gives you voting power, trading-fee discounts, revenue, or a share of platform income. Check the current RollX rules before relying on any particular benefit: the token’s exact rights and how its proposed utilities work can change as the protocol develops.
ROLL is separate from the assets you deposit or trade on RollX. Holding the token does not itself give you a trading position, and using the platform can involve additional risks such as leverage and liquidation. Treat ROLL as a crypto asset with a stated ecosystem role, not as a guaranteed claim on the platform.
Which network and wallet should you use for ROLL?
ROLL is listed as an issued token on Base. Base is an Ethereum layer-2 network, so you need a wallet that supports Base and can manage Ethereum-compatible tokens. Before sending ROLL, select Base in your wallet and confirm the receiving address and network match. A transfer sent on the wrong network may be difficult or impossible to recover.
RollX describes its trading platform as operating on Base and Bitlayer, but that does not establish that ROLL itself is issued on both networks. The token’s listed chain is Base; do not assume a Bitlayer version is interchangeable or official without checking RollX’s current token details.
A wallet such as MetaMask or another Base-compatible self-custody wallet can hold a token on Base if it supports custom token display. A wallet or exchange may not show the token automatically. Verify the contract address through RollX’s official channels before adding it or making a transfer, and beware of similarly named ROLL tokens.
How many ROLL tokens exist, and how much is circulating?
ROLL has a maximum and total supply of 1 billion tokens. About 155 million were circulating as of 2026-11-08, leaving a substantial difference between the circulating amount and the maximum supply. That gap matters: future releases or distributions could increase the amount available to trade, although the timing and effect depend on RollX’s token-allocation and release rules.
As of 2026-11-08, ROLL’s reported market capitalisation was about $9.0 million and its fully diluted valuation was about $57.8 million. These are snapshots, not stable measures of value; prices and market conditions change. The circulating supply figure is also not a promise that all remaining tokens will enter circulation at a particular time.
Before you assess ROLL, look for clear information on allocations, vesting, unlock dates, and any changes to supply. Do not rely on the maximum supply alone when considering dilution or market risk.
How can you store ROLL without losing control of it?
For self-custody, keep ROLL in a wallet where you control the recovery phrase and can access the Base network. Write the phrase on paper or store it in another secure offline form; never share it with someone claiming to be support. Anyone with the phrase can take the assets, and a lost phrase may leave you unable to recover them.
Use a unique device passcode and enable a hardware wallet for larger holdings if you know how to verify transactions on it. Check the network, recipient address, and token contract before approving a transfer. Treat wallet prompts for token permissions carefully: an approval can let a contract move tokens within the permission you granted.
Keep a small amount of ETH on Base if you need to pay network transaction fees. Those fees are separate from any RollX trading charges. Be cautious of fake airdrops, imitation tokens, unsolicited messages, and sites asking you to connect your wallet or reveal your recovery phrase.
What could go wrong with ROLL or RollX?
ROLL combines token risk with the risks of a relatively small crypto market and a developing derivatives platform. Its value can move sharply, and the large gap between circulating and maximum supply makes future token releases worth checking. Market-cap and volume figures are snapshots, not guarantees that you can sell at a particular price or size.
RollX offers leveraged perpetual trading, where losses can exceed what you expect and positions can be liquidated quickly. Smart-contract flaws, oracle failures, outages, or problems with the platform’s evolving order-book and risk systems could also affect trading or access to funds. The project’s audit status and current fee details need checking before you trade; do not assume either is settled.
Separate the decision to hold ROLL from the decision to trade on RollX. Review current token rules, fees, security disclosures, and withdrawal conditions, and only risk funds you can afford to lose. A token’s stated governance or utility purpose does not guarantee that those benefits will materialise.
By the numbers
ROLL in numbers
ROLL (ROLL) is ranked #1,297 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $8.96M and a price of $0.0580 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $57.8M, so roughly 15% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was down 32.3% over 7 days, down 34.0% over 30 days. It trades about 68% below its all-time high of $0.1837, set on Jan 19, 2026.
About 155M ROLL are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (15% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $181K, or 2.0% of its market cap: moderate turnover.
ROLL has token contracts on Base. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
ROLL is linked to RollX, which we cover in our Derivatives rankings. See our RollX page for how the protocol works and how we score it.

ROLL FAQs
What blockchain is ROLL on?
ROLL is issued on Base, so use a wallet that supports Base and verify the token contract before sending it. RollX also describes platform activity on Bitlayer, but ROLL’s listed token chain is Base.
What is ROLL used for?
RollX describes ROLL as a utility and governance token intended to support governance, incentives, and ecosystem features. Holding it does not by itself guarantee fee discounts, income, or voting rights; check the current token rules.
What is the maximum supply of ROLL?
ROLL has a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens. About 155 million were circulating as of 2026-11-08; future releases and their timing should be checked against RollX’s current token information.
How do I store ROLL safely?
Use a self-custody wallet that supports Base, secure its recovery phrase offline, and never share it. Confirm the network, address, and token contract before sending, and review wallet approvals before signing.
Is trading ROLL or using RollX risky?
RollX is a derivatives platform, so leveraged positions can be liquidated and may lose value quickly. ROLL also faces market, supply, smart-contract, oracle, and platform risks; check current fees and security disclosures before trading.
What is the market cap of ROLL?
As of Nov 8, 2026, ROLL had a market cap of about $8.96M, ranking #1,297 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
