What does H2O do in Hydration’s Omnipool?

H2O is used as the hub token in Hydration’s Omnipool, an automated market maker (AMM). Instead of requiring a separate liquidity pool for every trading pair, the Omnipool routes trades through H2O. The project says transaction fees and partial compensation for impermanent loss are paid out in H2O. That describes a role in the protocol; it does not guarantee that fees will cover losses or give holders a fixed return.

If you are considering holding H2O, the practical question is whether you expect to use Hydration’s trading and liquidity features. Holding the token alone does not mean you are providing liquidity. Liquidity provision can expose you to impermanent loss, changing token prices and smart-contract risk. Check the current Omnipool terms before depositing assets, and understand what each transaction will do before signing it.

Which network and wallet should you use for H2O?

H2O is associated with Hydration, a DeFi ecosystem in the Polkadot environment. Do not assume that every asset called H2O is the same token: search results also refer to H2O DAO and to H2O Securities’ H2ON token, which are different projects or symbols.

Before sending or receiving H2O, confirm the network and the exact asset in Hydration’s own interface or documentation. The network and asset identifier matter more than the ticker alone. Choose a wallet that explicitly supports the relevant Hydration network and asset; a wallet that supports Polkadot generally may not support every asset or transaction type. Make a small test transfer first if you are unsure, and check that the receiving wallet can display and use the token. Sending to an incompatible network or address can make recovery difficult or impossible.

How much H2O exists, and how quickly can its value change?

As of 2026-11-08, H2O’s reported circulating and total supply were both about 2.40 million tokens. A maximum supply was not listed, so you should not treat the current total as a fixed cap. Supply figures can change if the protocol issues, burns or otherwise adjusts tokens; check the current on-chain and project information before relying on them.

H2O was trading at about $4.81 on that date, with a market capitalization of roughly $11.5 million. These are snapshots, not stable values. A small market capitalization and trading volume can mean that relatively modest orders move the price, and the price may differ between venues. The token’s past price swings also show why a quoted price should not be read as a measure of safety or a forecast. Do not rely on the token’s fee role as a promise of future income or price support.

How can you store H2O, and what could go wrong?

For self-custody, use a wallet that supports the confirmed H2O network and keep your recovery phrase offline. Never share it with anyone or enter it into a site or message claiming to help you claim, unlock or migrate tokens. A hardware wallet can reduce exposure to malware when it supports the network, but it cannot protect you from signing a malicious transaction.

The main risks are token-price volatility, limited liquidity, mistakes involving the wrong H2O asset or network, and bugs or exploits in the Omnipool or related smart contracts. If you provide liquidity, you also take impermanent-loss risk; H2O-denominated fees or mitigation do not eliminate it. Project details such as an independent audit, maximum supply and wallet compatibility should be checked directly before you act. Keep only the assets you need for a transaction in a connected wallet, and review every permission and transaction before approving it.

By the numbers

H2O in numbers

H2O (H2O) is ranked #1,137 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $11.5M and a price of $4.81 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($11.5M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.

The price was down 3.7% over 7 days, down 15.2% over 30 days, down 71.4% over the past year. It trades about 79% below its all-time high of $23.24, set on May 28, 2025.

About 2.4M H2O are in circulation. No hard maximum supply is listed, so new tokens can still be issued.

24-hour trading volume was about $167K, or 1.4% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

CoinGecko groups H2O under DeFi tokens, DEX tokens, Exchange tokens.

H2O FAQs

What is H2O used for?

H2O is used as the Omnipool’s hub token, with trades routed through it. Hydration also says transaction fees and partial impermanent-loss mitigation are paid out in H2O; that is not a guaranteed return.

Which blockchain is H2O on?

H2O is associated with Hydration in the Polkadot environment. Confirm the exact network and asset identifier in Hydration’s current interface or documentation before transferring it.

What is H2O’s total supply?

As of 2026-11-08, circulating and total supply were both about 2.40 million H2O. A maximum supply was not listed, and supply figures may change.

What wallet can hold H2O?

Use a wallet that explicitly supports the correct Hydration network and H2O asset. Check compatibility before sending; support for Polkadot does not necessarily mean a wallet supports every asset or transaction.

What are the risks of holding H2O?

The main risks include sharp price changes, limited liquidity, sending the wrong asset or using the wrong network, and protocol or smart-contract failures. Providing liquidity adds impermanent-loss risk.

What is the market cap of H2O?

As of Nov 8, 2026, H2O had a market cap of about $11.5M, ranking #1,137 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.

What is the all-time high of H2O?

H2O's all-time high is $23.24, reached on May 28, 2025. Its all-time low is $0.00001514 (Apr 7, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.

What is the circulating supply of H2O?

As of Nov 8, 2026, about 2.4M H2O were in circulation; no fixed maximum supply is listed.
