What does RIVER do—and what does it not promise?
River is building a cross-chain collateral and stablecoin system. Its core product, satUSD, is designed to let you use collateral on one chain to mint a stablecoin on another without bridging the collateral itself. That describes the River system; it does not make RIVER and satUSD the same asset. RIVER is the project’s token, while satUSD is the stablecoin used in its collateral system.
River’s project description does not establish what practical rights or functions RIVER gives holders. In particular, it does not confirm that holding RIVER lets you vote, stake, earn protocol revenue, or access satUSD. Don’t assume RIVER is needed to use the system or that it is backed by satUSD or collateral. Before you rely on it for a specific use, check River’s current token documentation and make sure it covers the exact feature you plan to use.
Which chains and wallets support RIVER?
RIVER is issued on Ethereum, Base, and BNB Chain. It is not listed as the native token of any chain, so when you send or store it, the network matters: a RIVER token on Base and one on Ethereum may be separate network-specific representations. A transfer to an address on the wrong network can leave your funds difficult or impossible to recover.
Use a wallet that supports the chain and token you intend to hold. The project information does not name a preferred wallet or provide token contract addresses, so verify the network and contract address through River’s official channels before adding a token or making a transfer. Don’t rely on a search result or a token name alone; other tokens can use the same name or symbol. If you’re moving RIVER, a small test transfer can help you catch a network or address mistake before sending a larger amount.
How many RIVER tokens exist?
RIVER has a maximum and total supply of 100 million tokens. About 39.9 million were circulating as of 2026-11-08, or roughly 40% of that total. The difference is not necessarily locked or unavailable: River does not publish enough information here to establish when or how the rest may enter circulation, so future supply changes are worth checking before you assess dilution risk.
On 2026-11-08, RIVER was about $0.80, with a market capitalization of about $31.8 million and a fully diluted valuation of about $79.5 million. Those figures can change quickly. The reported all-time high was $87.73 on 2026-01-26, while the reported low was $0.74 on 2026-11-05. Past prices do not indicate what RIVER may be worth later; treat these figures as a dated snapshot, not a forecast.
How can you store RIVER safely?
You can hold RIVER in a self-custody wallet that supports the relevant network, or use a custodial service that lists the token. With self-custody, you control the recovery phrase and are responsible for keeping it safe. Store it offline in a private place, never share it, and be wary of anyone asking for it to “verify” your wallet or help with a transfer.
Before receiving RIVER, confirm that your wallet is set to the right chain and that you have the correct token contract. Keep some of the network’s native asset available if you need to pay transaction fees; the fee asset differs by chain. Check wallet addresses carefully and consider a small test transfer first. If you connect your wallet to River’s collateral system, read each transaction and token approval before signing. A wallet connection does not remove the risks of approving a malicious or excessive transaction.
What could go wrong if you hold or use RIVER?
RIVER’s token price can move sharply, and its reported price history shows substantial volatility. The project description does not establish a clear utility for RIVER, while the system’s stated stablecoin product is satUSD. That distinction matters: the presence of a stablecoin product does not make RIVER itself stable or guarantee that RIVER holders benefit from its use.
Using River’s collateral system carries separate risks. Collateral values can fall, and a collateralized position may face liquidation under the protocol’s rules. A stablecoin can also lose its intended peg; cross-chain design does not remove smart-contract, network, or execution risks. River has not published enough information to assess its costs or safety fully, including its audit status and a complete fee schedule. Review the rules, collateral requirements, liquidation process, and fees before putting assets into the system—and only commit funds you can afford to lose.

24-hour trading volume was about $1.35M, or 4.2% of its market cap: moderate turnover.
RIVER has token contracts on 3 chains we track, including Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
RIVER is linked to River Omni-CDP, which we cover in our CDPs rankings. See our River Omni-CDP page for how the protocol works and how we score it.
