What does holding MORPHO let you do?

MORPHO is Morpho’s governance token. Holding it can let you participate in decisions about the protocol, such as proposed upgrades and other governance matters. The voting system and the choices available can change, so check each proposal’s rules before deciding whether or how to vote. Holding MORPHO does not by itself deposit assets into a Morpho Vault, earn lending yield, or give you a borrower’s loan. Those are separate protocol activities that involve supplying or borrowing assets and their own risks.

Morpho is a lending platform with markets where borrowers can borrow assets and vaults where lenders can deposit assets. The token is associated with governance of that protocol, not a guaranteed share of its revenue or a promise of future returns. No automatic yield or other payment for simply holding MORPHO is established here. If your reason for holding it is governance, understand how voting power is counted and whether delegation is available before you act.

Which networks and wallets support MORPHO?

MORPHO is issued on Ethereum, Base, Katana and Arbitrum. It is not the native token of those networks; it is a token available on them. A wallet must support the network you are using as well as the token standard and address. EVM-compatible self-custody wallets commonly support these networks, but support varies by wallet and network.

Before sending or receiving MORPHO, confirm the network and the token contract address from a trusted Morpho source or your wallet’s verified asset listing. The same ticker can be used for unrelated tokens, and a token displayed on one network is not automatically the same balance on another. If you use a centralized exchange, check which networks it supports for MORPHO deposits and withdrawals; availability and network options differ by provider. Keep your recovery phrase private, and never share it to get help with a transfer.

How much MORPHO exists, and what moves its value?

MORPHO has a maximum and total supply of 1 billion tokens. About 703.7 million were circulating as of November 8, 2026, so the circulating amount was below the stated maximum. The difference between circulating and total supply does not by itself tell you when or how any remaining tokens may enter circulation. Check the project’s token information and governance materials for any current allocation or release details.

On November 8, 2026, MORPHO was about $2.09, with a market capitalization of about $1.47 billion and fully diluted valuation of about $2.09 billion. These are dated snapshots, not fixed values. Its recorded all-time high was $4.17 on January 17, 2025, and its all-time low was about $0.71 on November 24, 2024. Market prices can move sharply, and supply changes, trading activity, sentiment and protocol developments can all affect the token’s value. None of these figures indicates what MORPHO will be worth later.

How can you get and store MORPHO?

People generally obtain MORPHO through a crypto exchange that lists it, or by receiving it from another wallet. Availability depends on where you live and which platforms serve your location. This is general information, not a recommendation to acquire the token. If you already hold it, first identify which network your balance is on and make sure the wallet or service you plan to use supports MORPHO on that exact network.

For self-custody, you control the wallet keys and are responsible for keeping them safe. A hardware wallet may keep signing keys offline, while a software wallet can be more convenient but still depends on the security of your device and recovery phrase. A custodial platform holds the keys for you, but introduces reliance on that provider and its withdrawal policies. In either case, verify the token and destination address before sending. A small test transfer can help catch network or address mistakes, though it does not remove the risks of a later transaction.

What does it cost to move MORPHO?

Sending MORPHO on Ethereum, Base, Katana or Arbitrum requires a transaction on the network being used. You pay that network’s transaction fee, generally in its native gas token—not in MORPHO. Fees vary with network activity and transaction complexity, so check the wallet’s estimate before confirming. The cost is not a fixed Morpho fee, and no single fee applies across all four networks.

Moving MORPHO between networks may require a bridge or a service that supports deposits and withdrawals on both networks. A bridge can involve separate transaction fees, waiting time and additional smart-contract or service-provider risk. Some platforms may charge their own fees or impose minimums; check their terms before transferring. Make sure the receiving wallet or exchange supports the specific destination network. Sending to an unsupported network or address can leave funds difficult or impossible to recover. A token shown under the same ticker on two networks should not be assumed to be interchangeable without a supported transfer route.

What can go wrong when you hold MORPHO?

MORPHO carries the usual risks of a volatile crypto token: its market price can fall quickly, and you may not be able to sell or transfer it when you want. Governance rights do not guarantee influence over an outcome, and decisions made through governance can affect the protocol or token holders. Review proposals and understand the applicable voting rules rather than assuming that holding a certain amount gives you a particular result.

Morpho’s lending products have risks distinct from holding MORPHO. Smart-contract bugs, oracle failures, collateral price swings and liquidations can affect markets and deposited assets. Vaults may use curators and strategies whose choices add their own risks; read the vault’s assets, terms and risk details before depositing. A bridge transfer adds another potential point of failure. Self-custody also means mistakes with your recovery phrase, network selection or destination address may be irreversible. Do not treat a token balance as a bank deposit or a guaranteed return.

What is Morpho, and what is known about its history?

Morpho is a decentralized lending protocol built around lending markets and curated vaults. Users can lend through vaults or borrow assets from markets, while developers and businesses can build applications using its infrastructure. MORPHO is the protocol’s governance token; it is separate from the assets deposited or borrowed in those products. The protocol describes its infrastructure as permissionless, but that does not mean every market or vault has the same risk or terms.

A launch date for MORPHO is not established here. The token’s recorded low was about $0.71 on November 24, 2024, and its recorded high was $4.17 on January 17, 2025. These historical prices describe past trading only; they do not establish a likely future range. If you are reviewing Morpho for a particular use, distinguish between holding MORPHO for governance and using a vault or lending market, which involves separate assets, conditions and risks.

By the numbers

Morpho in numbers

Morpho (MORPHO) is ranked #61 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $1.47B and a price of $2.09 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $2.09B, so roughly 70% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.

The price was down 11.1% over 7 days, down 12.3% over 30 days, up 16.7% over the past year. It trades about 50% below its all-time high of $4.17, set on Jan 17, 2025.

About 703.68M MORPHO are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (70% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $10.9M, or 0.7% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

MORPHO has token contracts on 4 chains we track, including Ethereum, Base, Katana, Arbitrum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

MORPHO FAQs

What is MORPHO used for?

MORPHO is Morpho’s governance token, and holding it can let you participate in protocol decisions. Simply holding the token does not automatically earn lending yield.

Which networks is MORPHO on?

MORPHO is issued on Ethereum, Base, Katana and Arbitrum. Confirm the exact network and token address before sending, since the same ticker can refer to different assets.

What is the maximum supply of MORPHO?
