What can you use MMT for?

Momentum is a Sui decentralized exchange with trading and vault features. That describes the protocol, but it does not establish whether MMT is required to trade, earns a share of fees, or grants governance rights. Check Momentum’s current documentation for the token’s specific functions before treating it as anything more than a tradable asset.

If you are considering a swap or vault, look at the exact assets involved, the transaction costs and any withdrawal conditions before confirming. A token’s association with a DEX does not mean holding it is the same as depositing funds into that DEX, and using a vault can expose you to risks beyond MMT’s price movements. You can also lose money through slippage or changes in the value of the assets you deposit.

Which chain and wallet should you use for MMT?

MMT is issued on Sui and BNB Chain. It is not identified as the native token of either network, so you need a wallet that supports the chain you are using and the specific MMT token on it. A Sui wallet and a BNB Chain-compatible wallet are not interchangeable for every transaction.

Before sending MMT, check the receiving wallet’s network and confirm the token details against Momentum’s official channels. Sending a token to an incompatible network or address can make it difficult or impossible to recover. If you want to move MMT between chains, use only a transfer method that explicitly supports the right token and networks; do not assume that a token held on one chain will automatically appear on the other. Be cautious of search results or messages offering contract addresses, bridges or wallet support, since impostors can copy a project’s name.

How much MMT is in circulation?

As of 2026-11-08, MMT’s circulating supply is about 204.1 million, against a total and maximum supply of 1 billion. That puts roughly one-fifth of the maximum supply in circulation. The difference matters: future changes in circulating supply can affect how you interpret market capitalization and the amount of MMT available to trade.

On that date, MMT’s market capitalization was about $24.9 million and its fully diluted valuation was about $122.1 million. These are time-sensitive estimates, not guarantees of what you could sell your tokens for. Momentum’s supply release or allocation schedule is not established here, so check current project disclosures if you want to understand when more tokens may enter circulation. Do not treat a maximum supply figure as evidence that the circulating supply will stay unchanged.

How can you store MMT more safely?

For self-custody, use a wallet that supports MMT on the correct network. Keep your recovery phrase offline and private; anyone who obtains it can usually control the wallet’s assets. Never share it with someone claiming to provide Momentum support, and be wary of unexpected requests to sign a transaction or connect to a site.

If you use a hardware wallet, check that it supports the relevant chain and token interactions. For a small test transfer, confirm the receiving address and network first, then check that the test arrived before sending more. Leaving tokens with a custodial service means relying on that provider’s security and withdrawal policies instead of controlling the keys yourself. In either case, verify the token identity carefully: a token with the same ticker or name is not necessarily the MMT you intend to hold.

What risks should you check before using MMT?

MMT can lose value quickly, and DEX tokens also carry risks from changing liquidity and trading demand. As of 2026-11-08, its price was about 80% below its level one year earlier. That past movement is a reminder of volatility, not a forecast of what happens next.

Using Momentum’s trading or vault features adds protocol and smart-contract risks: software flaws, faulty transactions or other failures can lead to losses. Check the current fees and audit status before connecting a wallet or depositing assets; do not assume a vault is audited or a swap is free. Read the transaction details before signing, including the token, amount and permissions requested. Start only with funds you can afford to lose, and avoid signing broad or unfamiliar wallet permissions just to see a quoted rate.
