## What does LQ let you do?
LQ is Liqwid Finance’s governance token on Cardano. You can use it to vote on protocol decisions, while staking LQ is described as a way to participate in reserve returns tied to liquidation profits and a share of protocol revenue. Those returns are not guaranteed: they depend on protocol activity and rules, and staking introduces risks beyond simply holding the token.
Liqwid itself is a non-custodial lending and borrowing protocol. Users can supply supported assets to pooled markets to earn interest, or borrow Cardano native assets against supplied collateral. Holding LQ does not by itself supply assets, earn lending interest or make your tokens collateral. Those are separate actions in the protocol, with their own market conditions and risks. Check the current markets, rates, collateral requirements and staking terms before connecting a wallet.
## Which chain and wallet can hold LQ?
LQ is issued on Cardano, where it is a native asset rather than a token on a separate chain such as Ethereum. To hold or transfer it, use a Cardano-compatible wallet that supports native assets. To interact with Liqwid, make sure the wallet also supports connecting to the protocol and that you are using the correct LQ asset.
A wallet connection does not hand the protocol your private keys, but it can let you approve transactions from your wallet. Read each transaction prompt before signing, especially when supplying assets, borrowing, staking or voting. Keep your recovery phrase offline and never share it with someone claiming they need it to help with a wallet or protocol issue. If you are moving LQ between wallets, verify the receiving address and network before confirming; a transfer to the wrong address may be difficult or impossible to recover.
## How much LQ is there, and how liquid is it?
LQ has a maximum and total supply of 21 million tokens. About 20.3 million were circulating as of 2026-11-08, so most of the stated maximum supply was already in circulation at that point. Supply figures can change as tokens move into or out of circulation, so treat them as a dated snapshot rather than a permanent count.
LQ’s price was about $0.19 on 2026-11-08, with a reported 24-hour trading volume of about $55. That very low volume can make it harder to trade at a price close to the last quoted figure, especially for larger orders. Prices and market liquidity can change quickly; a displayed value is not a promise that you can sell at that price. If you are assessing a transaction, check current market conditions and the amount of LQ available to trade rather than relying on an old quote.
## How can you store LQ more safely?
For self-custody, keep LQ in a Cardano wallet where you control the recovery phrase, and protect that phrase as carefully as you would access to the funds themselves. Store it offline in a private, secure place. Do not enter it into a website or share it in a message, even if someone presents themselves as support. A hardware wallet can help keep keys offline, but confirm that it supports Cardano assets and the transactions you intend to make.
Before sending LQ, check the address, asset and network, and consider a small test transfer when practical. If you hold tokens through a third-party service instead, check its custody and withdrawal arrangements; access may depend on that provider. Losing your recovery phrase, approving a malicious transaction or sending assets to an incompatible address can result in permanent loss.
## What could put your LQ or supplied assets at risk?
LQ’s main risks come from both the token and the lending protocol. Smart-contract errors or exploits could put supplied assets or staked tokens at risk. Borrowers can face liquidation if collateral values or protocol rules move against them, while lenders may be affected by market conditions and available liquidity. Rates, supported assets and collateral requirements can change, so check them in the protocol before committing funds.
LQ also carries governance and market risks. A vote may affect protocol settings, but holding the token does not remove the possibility of losses or guarantee that a proposal will pass. The token’s price can fall sharply, and the reported trading volume was about $55 over 24 hours as of 2026-11-08, which signals limited trading activity at that time. Staking returns can vary and should not be treated as fixed income. Only use funds you can afford to lose, and distinguish the risk of holding LQ from the separate risks of lending, borrowing or staking through Liqwid.
By the numbers
Liqwid Finance in numbers
Liqwid Finance (LQ) is ranked #1,869 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $3.79M and a price of $0.1866 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($3.92M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was down 15.7% over 7 days, down 42.9% over 30 days, down 88.9% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $125.74, set on Apr 11, 2022.
About 20.32M LQ are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 21M (97% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $55, or 0.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
LQ has token contracts on Cardano. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

LQ FAQs
What blockchain is LQ on?
LQ is issued on Cardano as a native asset. Use a Cardano-compatible wallet that supports native assets, and check that it can connect to Liqwid before interacting with the protocol.
What is LQ used for?
LQ can be used to vote in Liqwid governance. The project also describes staking LQ as a way to receive reserve returns linked to liquidation profits and protocol revenue, but those returns are not guaranteed.
What is the maximum supply of LQ?
LQ’s stated maximum and total supply is 21 million. About 20.3 million were circulating as of 2026-11-08; circulation figures can change.
Can you lend or borrow with LQ?
Not by holding LQ alone. Liqwid lending and borrowing involve supplying supported assets or borrowing against collateral through the protocol, which are separate activities with their own risks.
What are the main risks of holding LQ?
Yes. Smart-contract exploits, changing market conditions, low trading liquidity and wallet mistakes can all lead to losses. Borrowing can also expose collateral to liquidation, and staking returns are not fixed.
What is the market cap of Liqwid Finance?
As of Nov 8, 2026, Liqwid Finance had a market cap of about $3.79M, ranking #1,869 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of LQ?
Liqwid Finance's all-time high is $125.74, reached on Apr 11, 2022. Its all-time low is $0.000003100 (Jan 10, 2024). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of LQ?
As of Nov 8, 2026, about 20.32M LQ were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 21M.
Which blockchains is LQ on?
It has token contracts on Cardano.
