What does holding JTO get you?

JTO gives you a role in Jito Network governance; it is not the token you stake to receive Solana staking rewards. Those rewards, including JitoSOL’s share of MEV-related rewards, are associated with JitoSOL, which you receive when you stake SOL through Jito’s liquid staking pool.

JTO holders can participate in decisions about the network’s direction. The precise proposals and voting arrangements can change, so check the current governance process before treating a JTO balance as voting power. Holding JTO does not automatically give you JitoSOL, staking yield, or a claim on Jito Network revenue.

That distinction matters if you are choosing between the tokens: JTO is a governance token, while JitoSOL represents staked SOL and can be used in some DeFi activity. Each has different risks. JTO’s value can change with market demand and governance expectations; JitoSOL also carries staking, protocol, and liquidity risks.

Which wallets and chains support JTO?

JTO is issued on Solana. You can keep it in a wallet that supports Solana tokens, or hold it through a crypto platform that offers JTO custody. If you use a self-custody wallet, protect its recovery phrase and check that the asset is the genuine JTO token on Solana before sending it. Token names and symbols can be copied by unrelated assets.

JitoSOL is a separate token, so make sure you select the right one when receiving or transferring assets. JitoSOL represents staked SOL; JTO does not. A balance shown on an exchange may be held in the platform’s custody rather than in a wallet you control, and withdrawal availability depends on that platform.

The stated issuance chain is Solana. If you see a JTO-branded asset on another chain, do not assume it is an official version. Confirm what token you are receiving and whether a bridge or wrapped representation is involved; those can add separate technical and counterparty risks.

How much JTO is in circulation?

JTO has a total supply of 1 billion tokens, with about 541.5 million circulating as of 2026-11-08. The difference between circulating and total supply can matter: tokens that are not yet circulating may enter the market over time, depending on the project’s distribution and release arrangements. A maximum supply cap is not listed.

These figures are not a guarantee that circulating supply will stay fixed. For a decision about a transfer, wallet, or holding, check the current token details and any published distribution or unlock information. Avoid assuming that total supply and circulating supply mean the same thing.

JTO’s market price can also move as demand changes, even if token supply does not. As of 2026-11-08, its reported price was about $0.33. That is a dated snapshot, not a guide to future value. JTO is not a stablecoin, and holding it does not provide a fixed return.

How do people get and store JTO?

You can generally obtain JTO through a crypto platform that lists it or by swapping tokens on a Solana decentralized exchange with JTO liquidity. Availability, trading pairs, identity checks, and withdrawal rules vary by provider and location. Check the asset network and token identity before confirming a deposit or withdrawal; selecting the wrong network can make funds difficult or impossible to recover.

For self-custody, use a Solana-compatible wallet and keep your recovery phrase offline and private. Never share it with someone offering to help with a transfer, vote, or staking action. If you keep JTO on a custodial platform, you rely on that provider to safeguard assets and process withdrawals.

JTO itself is not the asset deposited to receive JitoSOL. If you want to use Jito’s liquid staking service, the process involves SOL and JitoSOL, with separate terms and risks. Check the current instructions, fees, and redemption conditions before interacting with any staking or DeFi application.

What can a JTO transfer cost?

A JTO transfer on Solana requires a network transaction fee, usually paid in SOL. The amount can vary with network conditions and the transaction being submitted; Jito does not set a single fixed fee for every wallet transfer. Your wallet should show the transaction cost before you approve it, so check the amount and destination carefully.

If you acquire JTO through an exchange, that platform may charge separate trading or withdrawal fees. A swap can also include trading fees and slippage, especially when liquidity is limited. These costs are separate from Solana’s network fee.

Sending JTO through a bridge or interacting with a wrapped version can add bridge fees and contract or operator risk. The stated issuance chain is Solana, so verify the destination chain and asset representation before bridging. For JitoSOL, staking, unstaking, or DeFi use may have their own costs and timing; do not assume JTO’s transfer fee covers those actions.

What could go wrong with JTO?

JTO’s main risks are market volatility, changing governance decisions, and the possibility that demand for the token falls. The token does not automatically earn staking rewards or give you a share of network revenue. A governance vote can also have limited influence in practice, depending on participation and the way proposals are implemented.

Jito’s broader ecosystem has additional risks. JitoSOL depends on staking and protocol operations, and its market price or liquidity can differ from the value of the SOL represented by it. DeFi use adds smart-contract, liquidity, and transaction risks. MEV is a source of rewards in Jito’s system, but it also relates to how transactions are ordered and can create user and market impacts.

Use care with fake tokens, phishing messages, and requests for your recovery phrase. Review transaction details before signing, and consider whether you can tolerate losing the amount you hold. Do not rely on JTO as a guaranteed way to earn income or protect your savings.

What is JTO’s history so far?

Jito Network is associated with Solana liquid staking through JitoSOL and with MEV products. Its validator client supports auctions within blocks for opportunities to capture MEV, with the stated aim of making extraction more competitive and transparent. JTO is the network’s governance token; it is distinct from the SOL used for staking and the JitoSOL token received through the liquid staking pool.

The figures available for this guide place JTO’s all-time high at $6.01 on 2023-12-07 and its all-time low at about $0.218 on 2026-02-05. As of 2026-11-08, the reported price was about $0.33. Past prices do not establish what JTO will be worth next, and market prices can change quickly.

A launch date is not specified here. If you are assessing the token’s history, separate changes in JTO’s governance role from developments in JitoSOL and Jito’s MEV infrastructure; they are connected parts of the ecosystem, but they are not interchangeable assets.
