What does holding FLUID get you?
FLUID is associated with the Fluid DeFi protocol and the Instadapp platform, where users and developers manage and build DeFi portfolios. The protocol includes lending markets, such as stablecoin and ETH supply markets, and isolated-vault borrowing. Using those services is different from holding FLUID: owning the token does not by itself mean you have deposited funds, supplied collateral or earned lending interest.
Public descriptions associate FLUID with governance and revenue sharing, but check the current protocol rules to learn what rights a holder actually has, how they are exercised and whether any revenue distribution applies. Token ownership alone should not be treated as a guaranteed payment or as a claim on protocol assets. If you only want to use a lending market, check whether it requires FLUID; do not assume the token is needed just because it is linked to the protocol.
Which networks and wallets can hold FLUID?
FLUID is issued on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Plasma, Base, Solana and Polygon. It is not identified as a native token of any of these chains, so check which chain your wallet, exchange or intended application supports before sending it. The same ticker can refer to assets on different networks; selecting the wrong network or token contract can make a transfer difficult or impossible to recover.
Use a wallet that supports the specific network and token standard you need. Ethereum-compatible wallets commonly support assets on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base and Polygon, but you still need the correct network selected and the correct FLUID token added. Solana requires a Solana-compatible wallet. Confirm the official token address for the chosen chain through Fluid’s own channels before adding a token or accepting a deposit address. Do not rely on the ticker alone, especially when a wallet or exchange lists multiple versions.
How much FLUID exists, and what can change its supply?
FLUID has a maximum supply of 100 million tokens. Total supply is also listed as 100 million, while about 83.7 million were circulating as of November 8, 2026. That leaves roughly 16.3 million outside the circulating figure; this does not tell you when or how those tokens may enter circulation. Check the project’s current token information for any release schedule or allocation details before drawing conclusions about future supply.
Supply can affect the number of tokens available to trade, but it does not determine a token’s value by itself. Demand, use of the protocol, market conditions and changes in circulating supply can all matter. The price and market value figures change over time, so treat dated snapshots as historical context rather than a current quote. There is no reliable way to infer future price movement from supply figures alone.
How do people get and store FLUID?
People generally obtain FLUID through a crypto exchange that supports the token or by receiving it from another wallet. Availability depends on the platform and region. Before transferring, check whether the receiving service accepts FLUID on the exact network you plan to use; an exchange may support the token on one chain but not another. A withdrawal to an unsupported network can result in lost access to the funds.
For self-custody, use a wallet compatible with the relevant chain and protect its recovery phrase offline. Never share that phrase or approve a transaction you do not understand. Verify the token contract and destination address independently, and consider a small test transfer when appropriate. A wallet balance is not the same as a bank deposit: you are responsible for access, security and correct network selection. These are general ways of handling tokens, not a recommendation to buy FLUID.
What does it cost to move FLUID?
A FLUID transfer usually requires the fee for the network it is sent on, paid in that network’s gas token. The amount varies with network congestion and transaction complexity; it is not a fixed FLUID fee. Check the wallet’s fee estimate before confirming, and make sure you have enough of the required gas token in the same wallet. An exchange may also set its own withdrawal fee or minimum.
Moving FLUID between chains may require a bridge or a service that supports cross-chain transfers. That can add a service fee and additional transaction costs, and it introduces bridge and smart-contract risk. Do not assume a token transfer on one chain automatically moves the same asset to another. Confirm the source and destination networks, supported token version, fees and expected processing time before you approve anything. Fees and transfer options can change, so check them at the time of the transaction.
What risks should you check before using FLUID?
FLUID can lose value, and a token on the wrong network or at an imitation contract address may be unusable or fraudulent. Self-custody also puts responsibility for keys and transaction approvals on you. If you use Fluid lending markets, borrowing and supplying assets bring separate risks: collateral can fall in value, liquidation may occur under the protocol’s rules, and a smart-contract issue or market disruption can cause losses. Isolated vaults can have risks specific to their assets and settings, so review each vault rather than assuming all markets behave alike.
Before using a protocol, look for current information about audits, contract upgrades, collateral parameters, liquidation terms and emergency controls. Verify the relevant contract addresses and understand how governance decisions could affect the system. Do not supply funds you cannot afford to lose, and do not treat token ownership as protection against protocol or market losses.
What is FLUID’s price history?
The available history lists FLUID’s all-time high as $24.40 on June 16, 2021, and its all-time low as about $0.37 on December 28, 2022. These are past market extremes, not targets or forecasts. As of November 8, 2026, FLUID was about $2.24, with a market capitalization of about $187 million; those figures can change quickly and should not be used as a live quote.
A launch date is not established here, so avoid assuming when the token began trading or how its supply was initially distributed. Its presence across several chains also means that token history, liquidity and transfer routes may differ by network. If you are comparing a quoted price or balance, check the chain and token contract as well as the timestamp. Past gains or losses do not establish what happens next.
By the numbers
Fluid in numbers
Fluid (FLUID) is ranked #173 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $187M and a price of $2.24 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $224M, so roughly 84% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was up 22.8% over 7 days, up 8.4% over 30 days, down 43.5% over the past year. It trades about 91% below its all-time high of $24.40, set on Jun 16, 2021.
About 83.7M FLUID are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 100M (84% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $2.06M, or 1.1% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
FLUID has token contracts on 6 chains we track, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Plasma, Base. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
FLUID is linked to Fluid Lending, which we cover in our Lending rankings. See our Fluid Lending page for how the protocol works and how we score it.
