What does EDU let you do?
Open Campus is a blockchain education project, and EDU is its token. The project aims to support verifiable education credentials, education finance, and consumer-facing education apps. That describes the wider protocol, though it does not mean every course, credential, or financing service requires EDU.
Open Campus documentation describes EDU as a governance token for the Open Campus DAO and as the gas token for EDU Chain. Governance can give token holders a way to participate in project decisions, but check the DAO’s current rules before assuming what votes you can take part in or how much influence your tokens provide.
The project lists contributors including Animoca Brands, TinyTap, NewCampus, RiseIn, and HackQuest. Their involvement does not guarantee that a particular product will be adopted or that EDU will have a specific market value. If you are considering holding EDU, focus on whether the token’s actual functions and the network’s education products matter to you.
Which networks and wallets can you use for EDU?
EDU is available on BNB Chain, Arbitrum, and Ethereum. Open Campus documentation also describes it as the native gas token for EDU Chain. Gas is the network fee for actions such as sending tokens or using an application; the amount and payment process depend on the network and transaction.
Before receiving or sending EDU, check which network the other person, exchange, or app supports. A wallet may show the same token symbol on more than one network, but a transfer sent on an unsupported chain may not arrive as expected. Confirm the network and token contract using Open Campus’s official channels, and test with a small transfer if you are unsure.
You need a wallet that supports the network you plan to use. A self-custody wallet puts you in charge of the recovery phrase and private keys; an exchange account holds the keys on your behalf. Neither choice removes the risk of sending to the wrong address or losing access. Do not share your recovery phrase, and beware of unsolicited messages offering help with a wallet or token transfer.
How much EDU exists, and what can the figures tell you?
The maximum supply is 1 billion EDU. As of 2026-11-08, about 860.7 million were circulating, out of 1 billion total. That means most of the stated maximum supply was already circulating, but circulating supply can change as tokens are released or otherwise move into circulation. A maximum supply does not by itself explain who holds tokens or how much may be sold.
As of 2026-11-08, EDU traded at about $0.0449, with a market capitalization of about $38.6 million. These figures can move quickly and are not a forecast. Treat any current price or market-cap display as time-sensitive, and check the date before using it to make a decision.
If you hold EDU, consider how much exposure you can tolerate if its value falls sharply or trading becomes less liquid. Token supply figures and market prices do not show whether education apps are being used, whether credentials are accepted by institutions, or whether future demand will develop.
What could go wrong when you hold or use EDU?
EDU combines several risks. Its market price can change substantially, and the token may be harder to trade during periods of low liquidity. The project’s goals around credentials, education finance, and apps also depend on developers, educators, learners, and institutions choosing to use the products; a protocol’s stated purpose is not proof of adoption.
There are also blockchain risks. A mistake in the network or wallet address can lead to a lost transfer, while a compromised device or exposed recovery phrase can let someone take your tokens. Smart-contract issues, application failures, or problems with bridges can create additional risks when you use on-chain services. A verifiable credential may be recorded or referenced on-chain, so understand what personal information an app asks you to disclose before using it.
Keep only what you can manage safely, use a wallet you understand, and verify transaction details before signing. If you use an exchange, review its custody and withdrawal rules. Do not treat EDU as a guaranteed claim on a course, credential, or project revenue unless the specific service clearly establishes that right.

Open Campus in numbers
Open Campus (EDU) is ranked #528 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $38.6M and a price of $0.0449 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $44.9M, so roughly 86% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was down 17.8% over 7 days, down 36.5% over 30 days, down 74.4% over the past year. It trades about 97% below its all-time high of $1.67, set on Apr 29, 2023.
About 860.75M EDU are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (86% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $1.79M, or 4.6% of its market cap: moderate turnover.
EDU has token contracts on 3 chains we track, including BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Ethereum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

EDU FAQs
What is Open Campus (EDU) used for?
Open Campus documentation describes EDU as a governance token for its DAO and the native gas token for EDU Chain. The project also aims to build infrastructure for credentials, education finance, and education applications; not every service necessarily requires EDU.
Which chains support EDU?
EDU is issued on BNB Chain, Arbitrum, and Ethereum, and Open Campus documentation describes it as the gas token for EDU Chain. Check the network and token contract carefully before making a transfer.
What is the maximum supply of EDU?
The stated maximum supply is 1 billion EDU. About 860.7 million were circulating as of 2026-11-08; circulating supply can change over time.
How do you store Open Campus tokens?
You can use a self-custody wallet that supports the network holding your EDU, or keep it with a service that supports EDU deposits and withdrawals. With self-custody, protect your recovery phrase and check the network before sending tokens.
What are the main risks of holding EDU?
EDU can be volatile, and the success of Open Campus products depends on real-world use and continued development. Transfers can also go wrong if you choose an unsupported network or lose access to your wallet.
What is the market cap of Open Campus?
As of Nov 8, 2026, Open Campus had a market cap of about $38.6M, ranking #528 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of EDU?
Open Campus's all-time high is $1.67, reached on Apr 29, 2023. Its all-time low is $0.0253 (Jun 10, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of EDU?
As of Nov 8, 2026, about 860.75M EDU were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 1B.
Which blockchains is EDU on?
It has token contracts on BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Ethereum.
