What does SRX do in StorX?
StorX (SRX) is the token associated with StorX’s decentralized storage network. StorX describes a service that encrypts and fragments data, then distributes it among hosting nodes. The stated aim is to let you store or back up data without relying on one centralized storage provider.
Search results also describe SRX as a token node operators can lock to activate a storage node. That connects the token to network participation, but it does not make SRX the same thing as a StorX storage subscription. Before relying on the service for important files, check its current plan terms and how access, recovery and deletion work. A token’s price or availability does not guarantee that stored data will be recoverable.
Which network and wallet should you use for SRX?
SRX is issued on XDC Network; it is not listed as the native token of a separate chain. If you hold it yourself, use a wallet that supports XDC Network and the SRX token. Before sending funds, confirm the network and token details against a trusted project source or block explorer. Sending SRX to an address on the wrong network can make it difficult or impossible to recover.
A centralized exchange may custody SRX for you, if it supports the token and permits withdrawals. With self-custody, you control the keys, so you also take responsibility for backing them up and keeping them private. Check that a wallet can display and send SRX on XDC; seeing a token name in a wallet alone is not proof that it is the correct asset. Do not share your recovery phrase with anyone claiming to help.
How much SRX exists, and why do figures differ?
As of 2026-11-08, the listed circulating and total supply is about 608 million SRX, with a maximum supply of 1.5 billion. Those figures imply that the listed total is below the stated cap, but the cap is not the same as the circulating amount. A separate supply figure puts current supply at 977 million SRX, so published figures conflict. Check a current XDC explorer and StorX token information before relying on a particular number.
The same date-stamped snapshot puts SRX at about $0.053 and its market capitalization at about $32.4 million. These are moving figures, not a valuation or forecast. A token’s market price can change sharply, and the stated supply cap does not prevent price losses or guarantee demand. Avoid making a decision based on a single price or supply reading.
How can you store SRX more safely?
For self-custody, keep your recovery phrase offline in a secure place and never enter it into a site or form sent by a stranger. Use a device and wallet you trust, enable available security protections, and check the receiving address and XDC network before every transfer. Consider a small test transfer before moving a larger amount. A mistaken transaction may not be reversible.
If you hold SRX on an exchange, check its withdrawal and custody arrangements and whether you can move the token to an XDC-compatible wallet. Exchange access can be restricted or interrupted, while losing your wallet keys can leave you unable to control your tokens. Keep SRX custody separate from StorX’s storage service: holding the token does not by itself back up your files or establish that stored data can be recovered.
What could go wrong with SRX or StorX storage?
SRX carries the usual crypto risks: its price can fall, trading can be thin, and you may not be able to sell or transfer it when you want. The dated market figures above are only a snapshot. Token supply figures also conflict, so check current information before using them in a decision.
StorX’s encryption and distributed-storage design are project claims, not a guarantee that your files are secure or recoverable in every circumstance. The project has inconsistent plan details and security assurances, so review the current terms and understand how you would retrieve data before entrusting it with important records. Consider keeping an independent backup. If you lock SRX to operate a node, check the current requirements and what happens to locked tokens before committing them; do not assume you can withdraw immediately. No token holding or storage arrangement is risk-free.

StorX (SRX) is ranked #598 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $32.4M and a price of $0.0533 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($32.4M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was up 4.1% over 7 days, down 3.1% over 30 days, down 28.4% over the past year. It trades about 99% below its all-time high of $4.69, set on Sep 19, 2021.
About 607.92M SRX are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1.5B (41% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $661K, or 2.0% of its market cap: moderate turnover.
SRX has token contracts on XDC. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
