## What can you use NEXA for?
NEXA is the native coin of Nexa, a proof-of-work, UTXO Layer 1 blockchain. You can use it to pay network transaction fees; miners receive rewards in NEXA. The network also supports native tokens and smart contracts, so NEXA is not the only asset or activity associated with the chain.
Nexa’s design aims to support peer-to-peer use by addressing signature processing and UTXO lookups. Its project description also names Graphene, a block-propagation protocol, and DS-Proof, which is intended to support transactions without waiting for confirmations. These are design goals and technologies, not a guarantee that every transaction is instant or risk-free. If you are sending NEXA, check that your wallet and the recipient support the Nexa network, and understand how the recipient handles unconfirmed payments.
## Which network and wallet should you use?
NEXA belongs to the Nexa blockchain. The token facts do not identify NEXA as an asset issued on another chain, so do not assume an Ethereum, BNB Chain or other similarly named token is interchangeable with native NEXA. A wrapped or bridged version, if you encounter one, would be a separate representation with its own issuer, bridge and risks.
To store or transfer NEXA, choose a wallet that explicitly supports the Nexa mainnet. Before sending a meaningful amount, confirm the network shown in the wallet, check the address format using the wallet’s own guidance, and make a small test transfer if practical. Keep any recovery phrase offline and never enter it into a website or share it with someone claiming to help. Wallet brand recommendations and a complete list of supported wallets are not established here; confirm support directly with the wallet provider before receiving funds.
## How much NEXA exists, and what is the supply cap?
Nexa has a stated maximum supply of 21 trillion NEXA. As of 2026-11-08, about 11.18 trillion NEXA were reported as circulating, and total supply was also about 11.18 trillion. That leaves a gap between the reported supply and the cap; the cap is not the same as the number currently in circulation.
A fixed maximum can help you understand the upper limit, but it does not tell you what one NEXA will be worth or how easy it will be to trade. At such a large unit count, the price of an individual coin can look tiny without making the network inexpensive or a holding valuable. If you compare exchanges or wallets, check whether they support native NEXA on Nexa rather than a different asset with a similar ticker. Supply figures can change as coins enter circulation, so treat these numbers as a dated snapshot, not a live balance.
## What could put your NEXA at risk?
Treat NEXA as a high-risk crypto asset. Its value can move sharply, and the available snapshot showed a market capitalization of about $7.7 million and 24-hour trading volume of about $87,500 as of 2026-11-08. Those figures can change quickly; comparatively limited trading activity can make it harder to trade at the price you expect. The reported price was also well below its April 2023 all-time high, which illustrates that past highs do not establish a future value.
There are network-specific risks too. Proof of work depends on miners and the chain’s ongoing security, while software faults, congestion, exchange support changes or a mistaken network selection can affect your ability to use or move NEXA. Nexa describes a method for transactions that do not require confirmations, but an unconfirmed payment can carry more settlement risk than one included in a block. For important transfers, wait for suitable confirmation and check the recipient’s requirements.
## How can you store NEXA more safely?
If you hold NEXA, protect the keys that control it. Use a wallet that explicitly supports the Nexa network, secure its recovery phrase offline, and keep a separate backup in a place you can access if your device fails. Do not share the phrase, private keys or wallet password with anyone. A legitimate support agent does not need your recovery phrase to troubleshoot a transfer.
Before sending, verify the amount, recipient address and network in the wallet itself. Be especially careful with exchange deposits: choose the Nexa network only when the exchange explicitly supports native NEXA deposits, and follow any deposit instructions shown in your account. A transaction sent to an incompatible network or address may be difficult or impossible to recover. For a large transfer, a small test transaction can help catch an address or network mistake, though it cannot protect you from a compromised device, fraudulent wallet software or a recipient who does not return funds.
By the numbers
Nexa in numbers
Nexa (NEXA) is ranked #1,388 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $7.70M and a price of $0.0000006884 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($7.70M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was down 1.2% over 7 days, down 27.1% over 30 days, down 4.7% over the past year. It trades about 98% below its all-time high of $0.00004180, set on Apr 2, 2023.
About 11.18T NEXA are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 21T (53% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $87.5K, or 1.1% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
CoinGecko groups NEXA under Layer 1 tokens.

What is NEXA used for?
NEXA is used to pay transaction fees on the Nexa blockchain, and miners receive NEXA rewards. The network also supports native tokens and smart contracts.
Which blockchain is NEXA on?
NEXA is the native coin of the Nexa blockchain. Use a wallet or exchange that explicitly supports native NEXA on Nexa, and do not assume a token with the same ticker on another chain is interchangeable.
What is the maximum supply of NEXA?
Nexa’s stated maximum supply is 21 trillion NEXA. About 11.18 trillion were reported as circulating as of 2026-11-08; supply figures may change over time.

Can a Nexa transaction be sent without confirmations?
Nexa is a proof-of-work blockchain, and a transaction made without confirmations may not have the same settlement assurance as one included in a block. For an important payment, check the recipient’s confirmation requirements and wait for suitable confirmation.
