## What can you use MOVE for?

MOVE is Movement Network’s native token. The project identifies transaction fees and staking to secure the network as its main uses. If you use an app on Movement, you may need MOVE to pay network fees; staking may let you help secure the network, subject to the network’s current rules. Check the staking interface for its requirements, rewards, withdrawal timing and any penalties before committing tokens.

MOVE is not just a general-purpose label for every token with that ticker. The project lists it as issued on Movement, Ethereum, Hyperliquid L1 and Base, while Movement is its native network. Tokens on different chains may require different wallet networks and may not be interchangeable without a supported transfer route. Confirm the chain and token contract before sending or receiving MOVE. A mistaken network selection can leave funds inaccessible or require extra steps to recover.

## How much MOVE exists, and what can change its value?

MOVE has a maximum and total supply of 10 billion tokens. About 4.66 billion were circulating as of 2026-11-08, leaving a difference between circulating supply and the total that may enter circulation over time. The project’s token supply can affect how much of the total supply is already circulating, but these figures alone do not show when or how remaining tokens may be released. Check Movement’s current token distribution and release information if that matters to your decision.

MOVE’s market price can change sharply. It was about $0.0059 on 2026-11-08; its reported all-time high was $1.45 on 2024-12-09, and its reported all-time low was about $0.0057 on 2026-11-05. These dated figures are historical, not a forecast. A low unit price does not by itself mean a token is cheap, and neither market capitalization nor past performance tells you what MOVE will be worth later.

## Which wallet should you use to store MOVE?

Keep MOVE in a wallet that explicitly supports the network you plan to use. The right choice depends on the chain: a wallet that handles an EVM network may support MOVE on Ethereum or Base, but that does not automatically mean it can manage native MOVE on Movement or a token on Hyperliquid L1. Check the wallet’s supported networks and verify the token contract using Movement’s official channels before adding or sending a token.

For self-custody, write your recovery phrase on paper or another offline medium and store it securely. Never share it with a person, website or support account; anyone with the phrase can control the wallet. Consider a hardware wallet if you hold a meaningful amount, and test a small transfer before sending a larger one. Avoid following unsolicited links or signing transactions you do not understand. If you lose your recovery phrase or send tokens to an unsupported network or address, recovery may not be possible.

## What could go wrong when you hold MOVE?

MOVE carries both token-market and network-use risks. Its price has fallen substantially from its reported 2024 high, and its recent low was recorded just days before the 2026-11-08 price snapshot. The circulating supply is also below the 10 billion total supply, so future changes in circulation may matter to holders. Do not treat staking or network fees as a promise of returns; staking can involve protocol-specific conditions, and token prices can fall regardless of network activity.

There are also practical risks: sending the wrong chain’s version, interacting with a fake token, approving a malicious transaction or losing wallet access. Before staking or using a bridge, verify the destination network, service and transaction details through official Movement channels. Check current staking terms and any transfer costs before proceeding. Only hold or use an amount you can afford to lose, and do not rely on old price records or unverified claims about MOVE’s future.

Movement (MOVE) is ranked #675 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $27.3M and a price of $0.005856 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $58.6M, so roughly 47% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.

The price was down 6.7% over 7 days, down 33.8% over 30 days, down 90.8% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $1.45, set on Dec 9, 2024.

About 4.66B MOVE are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 10B (47% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $2.40M, or 8.8% of its market cap: high turnover.

MOVE is the native token of Movement; it also has token contracts on 3 chains we track, including Ethereum, Hyperliquid L1, Base. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

CoinGecko groups MOVE under Layer 1 tokens, Infrastructure tokens, Zero-knowledge (ZK) tokens.

MOVE FAQs

What is MOVE used for?

Movement identifies MOVE as its network’s native token, used for transaction fees and staking to secure the network. Exact staking terms should be checked in the current staking interface.

Which blockchains support MOVE?

Movement lists MOVE on Movement, Ethereum, Hyperliquid L1 and Base. Verify the network and token contract before transferring, because tokens on different chains may not be directly interchangeable.

What wallet can hold MOVE?

Use a wallet that specifically supports the chain holding your MOVE. EVM support for Ethereum or Base does not necessarily mean the wallet supports native MOVE on Movement or the Hyperliquid L1 version.

What is the total supply of MOVE?

The maximum and total supply are 10 billion MOVE. About 4.66 billion were circulating as of 2026-11-08; circulation can change over time.

Can you stake MOVE?

Staking is one of MOVE’s stated uses, but participation can involve network-specific requirements and risks. Review current rewards, withdrawal timing and any penalties before staking, and remember that the token’s market value can fall.

What is the market cap of Movement?
