Lendle Review: Can You Recover Funds After Closure?
Lendle’s app has closed, and its markets are frozen. Existing users may still be able to repay loans and recover funds through Mantle contracts, but new lending and borrowing are unavailable.
By the SkyBitcoins review team · Updated
Quick take
Lendle is closed, so it is not an option for new lending or borrowing. Its main remaining use is helping former users manage existing Mantle positions: you may repay loans, withdraw supplied assets, or recover vault and staking balances through contracts. The key risk is that withdrawals can fail when a market has little free cash. Verify every contract address and transaction before signing, and keep MNT available for gas.

What can you still do with Lendle?
Lendle was a lending market on Mantle where users could supply crypto assets and borrow against collateral. That service is no longer operating: the app is closed, all markets are frozen, and new deposits and borrowing are unavailable. LEND is the project’s token, and former users may also have balances in vaults, staking or locked-token contracts, or a LEND–WMNT liquidity farm.
For existing positions, the remaining purpose is recovery rather than ongoing DeFi use. The published recovery process describes direct contract calls for withdrawals and repayments, as well as separate actions for vault shares, LEND rewards and LP tokens. These are on-chain operations, not a working app interface, and the exact contract depends on the market or product that holds your position.
Do not treat Lendle as a source of new yield or liquidity. If you are researching it because you want a functioning lending protocol, choose an active service instead. If you already have assets there, first identify the relevant position and contract before attempting any transaction.
What will recovering funds cost?
Lendle does not publish a recovery fee schedule in its closure information. You need MNT on Mantle to pay network gas for contract transactions. Gas varies with network conditions, so check the transaction’s estimate in your wallet before signing and keep enough MNT for the sequence of actions you need.
If you borrowed, repayment requires the borrowed asset and enough to cover the loan plus interest. The amount due can therefore be higher than the original amount borrowed. Lendle’s instructions also say an early exit can cut by 50% LEND that is still vesting; this is separate from the gas cost.
A failed withdrawal may not mean your balance has disappeared. Lendle warns that a market can lack free cash because assets are lent out. In that case, a smaller withdrawal or trying again after borrowers repay may work, but neither timing nor success is guaranteed. Avoid paying anyone who claims they can unlock funds for an extra fee or through a separate claim site.
How much should you trust the recovery process?
Lendle’s app is closed, but its notice says the Mantle contracts still allow certain actions. That is not a guarantee that every transaction will succeed or that every asset can be recovered immediately. In particular, withdrawal liquidity can be limited, and contract interactions require you to select the right market and token address.
The closure instructions warn that Lendle has no migration or claim page and will not ask you to connect a wallet, sign a message, or approve tokens on another website. Treat unexpected recovery offers, direct messages, and lookalike sites as serious risks. Verify addresses against Lendle’s official closure information and check the network and function details before authorizing anything.
Lendle’s audit and licensing status are not established by its closure information. The instructions provide contract addresses, but that alone is not an independent security assurance. A mistaken approval or call can put funds at risk, so if you cannot confidently verify a transaction, pause and seek help from a trusted technical adviser without sharing your seed phrase or private keys.
What is using the Mantle contracts like?
There is no Lendle app flow for recovery. You use the wallet that holds your position on Mantle and interact with the relevant contract through the Mantle block explorer’s contract tools. You also need MNT for gas. This approach is more technical than a normal withdraw button: you must identify whether your funds are in the main market, an isolated pool, a vault, staking, or the liquidity farm.
The steps and function names differ by position. Borrowers generally need to repay before withdrawing collateral. Vault users need to check their share balance and redeem shares. Staked or locked LEND uses different reward and lock functions, while farm LP tokens require a separate liquidity-removal step after withdrawal.
A transaction sent to the wrong contract or with the wrong token address may not be easy to reverse. Check that you are on Mantle, compare the address character by character with the official recovery information, and inspect the wallet’s transaction summary. Never enter a seed phrase into an explorer or recovery site.
When should you choose something else?
Lendle is unsuitable if you want an active lending market: deposits and borrowing are frozen, and the app has closed. It is also a poor fit for anyone who expects a familiar interface, published current fee details, or guaranteed instant access to supplied funds. A withdrawal may be constrained by available cash in the relevant market.
Recovery also depends on your particular position. You may need to repay a loan before collateral can be withdrawn, and some products require several separate transactions. Vault shares, isolated-market positions, locked tokens, and liquidity-farm LP tokens do not all follow the same process. Pending farm rewards may be skipped when using the stated emergency withdrawal route, while early withdrawal of still-vesting LEND is subject to a 50% reduction.
If you have funds at stake but are unsure which market or contract applies, do not guess. Confirm your position and the exact address before signing. Lendle’s closure is the central decision point: use it only to manage an existing position, not as a place to start lending or borrowing.
5 steps
How to start with Lendle
- 1
Use the wallet that holds your Lendle position, switch it to Mantle, and keep MNT available for gas.
- 2
Identify whether the position is in the main market, an isolated pool, a vault, staking, or the LEND–WMNT farm; do not guess at the contract.
- 3
Verify the relevant contract and token addresses against Lendle’s official closure information, then inspect the explorer and wallet transaction details before signing.
- 4
If you borrowed, repay the loan and interest first; then attempt to withdraw collateral or supplied assets. If a withdrawal fails for lack of free cash, do not send funds to a third party—consider a smaller withdrawal or trying again later.
- 5
For vault shares, locked LEND, or LP tokens, follow the matching contract process and check any consequences, including skipped farm rewards or the reduction to still-vesting LEND.
Lendle FAQs
Can you still deposit or borrow on Lendle?
No. Lendle says its app is closed and every market is frozen, so users cannot make new deposits or borrow. The remaining contract functions are for existing users managing positions and assets.
Can you withdraw funds from Lendle?
Lendle says supplied assets can be withdrawn from its contracts on Mantle, though a withdrawal may fail if the market lacks free cash. If you have a loan, repay it first; the repayment needs enough of the borrowed token to cover the debt and interest.
What do you need to recover a Lendle position?
You need the wallet that holds your position, the Mantle network, and some MNT for transaction gas. Before signing, verify the contract address and transaction details independently; Lendle warns that it has no migration or claim page and will not ask you to connect elsewhere.
What does it cost to withdraw or repay?
Lendle’s closure information does not specify a recovery fee schedule. You will need MNT for Mantle transaction gas, and any outstanding loan still accrues or includes interest that must be covered when repaid.
Can you recover LEND tokens and farm deposits?
The LEND–WMNT farm’s emergency withdrawal returns LP tokens but skips pending farm rewards; you would then need to remove liquidity separately. For locked LEND, the closure instructions say taking out still-vesting LEND early cuts that amount by 50%.
