What does holding ZETA let you do?
ZETA is the native token of ZetaChain, a Layer 1 blockchain built for applications that interact across different blockchains. ZetaChain also describes an AI interoperability stack, including tools for routing requests across AI models and keeping user context private and permissioned.
For you as a holder, the clearest token uses are paying for activity on ZetaChain and staking ZETA to help secure the network. Cross-chain applications may also use ZETA as part of their transactions. These functions do not mean that simply holding ZETA gives you access to a particular app, AI model, private-memory feature or reward. Check the terms of each application or staking service before connecting a wallet or committing tokens. Token use can also change as the network develops, so distinguish a service’s advertised features from rights you actually receive as a token holder.
Which chains can hold your ZETA?
ZETA exists natively on ZetaChain, and token versions have also been issued on Ethereum and BNB Chain. These are separate networks: a balance on one chain is not automatically available on another. When receiving ZETA, check which network the sender will use and confirm that your wallet or exchange supports that exact network and token version.
A self-custody wallet that supports the relevant chain can hold its assets, but wallet support varies. Ethereum and BNB Chain token versions generally require a wallet that supports those networks and the correct token contract. For native ZETA, use a wallet that supports ZetaChain. Do not rely on the token ticker alone when adding or sending a token; tickers can be copied. Confirm the official contract details through trusted project channels, and consider a small test transfer when you are unsure. If you use an exchange, check its deposit and withdrawal network options before sending.
How much ZETA exists, and can supply change?
ZetaChain’s stated maximum and total supply is 2.1 billion ZETA. About 1.70 billion were circulating as of November 8, 2026. The difference between circulating and total supply means some tokens were not counted as circulating at that point; the figures alone do not tell you when or how those tokens may enter circulation.
Supply can affect the share of the total token pool represented by your holdings. It can also change over time if tokens are released, distributed, staked, or otherwise reclassified. ZetaChain’s circulating supply is a snapshot, not a guarantee that the figure stays fixed. The project’s published figures should be checked for any current release schedule or allocation details before you rely on them. No supply figure tells you what ZETA will be worth: market price depends on demand and trading conditions as well as the number of tokens in circulation.
How do people get and store ZETA?
People generally obtain ZETA through a crypto exchange that lists the token, by receiving it from another wallet, or through an eligible network activity or distribution if one is available. Availability and access requirements vary by platform and location. Check that a service supports the network you intend to use; an exchange listing for ZETA does not necessarily mean it supports deposits and withdrawals on every chain where ZETA exists.
For self-custody, keep the recovery phrase offline and private. Anyone who obtains it may be able to control the wallet, and support staff should not need you to disclose it. Hardware wallets can keep signing keys separate from an internet-connected device, but you still need to verify transaction details on the device. Custodial platforms hold assets on your behalf and have their own account, withdrawal and counterparty risks. Neither storage approach removes the risk of sending tokens to the wrong chain or address.
What can it cost to send or bridge ZETA?
Sending ZETA on its native chain usually requires a network fee, typically paid in the chain’s gas token. Transfers on Ethereum or BNB Chain use those networks instead, with fees that vary according to network conditions. The exact cost can change between the time you prepare and confirm a transaction, so check the wallet’s fee estimate before approving it. ZetaChain does not publish a fixed fee that applies to every transfer.
Moving tokens between chains may involve a bridge or another cross-chain service. Such services can charge fees, take time to complete, or impose limits, and the route may require transactions on more than one network. Bridge security is an additional risk: a delay, technical failure or exploit could affect access to assets. Confirm the destination network, token version, address and any service fee before proceeding. A low displayed fee is not a guarantee that a route is safe or that the destination will accept the asset.
What risks should you weigh before holding ZETA?
ZETA carries market risk, and its price can move sharply. As of November 8, 2026, it traded at about $0.036; the supplied market snapshot put its market capitalization near $60.5 million. These are dated figures, not a valuation or forecast. The token’s reported all-time high was $2.85 on February 15, 2024, and its reported low was about $0.0266 on August 14, 2026. Past prices do not indicate what happens next.
You also face blockchain and custody risks: a mistaken transfer may be irreversible, wallet keys can be lost or stolen, and bridges or applications can have vulnerabilities. Token versions on different chains can have different contract and service risks. ZetaChain’s AI and cross-chain features do not remove those risks, and holding ZETA does not guarantee a return or access to a service. Before using an app or staking provider, check its current terms, security disclosures and withdrawal conditions.
What is ZetaChain’s history and direction?
ZetaChain was created as a Layer 1 project focused on connecting applications across blockchain networks. Its current description extends that interoperability aim to AI models, with an AI Portal for routing and execution and a Private Memory Layer intended to keep user context encrypted and permissioned. These are project goals and product descriptions; they do not establish that every feature is available in every app or that holding ZETA gives you a claim on the services.
The token’s market history has been volatile. Its stated all-time high was reached in February 2024, while the stated all-time low came in August 2026. That history is useful context for understanding that the price has moved substantially, but it cannot predict future performance. The token facts do not give a launch date, and they do not specify a complete release calendar for the remaining supply. If timing or token distribution matters to your decision, verify the current project documentation rather than assuming the supply snapshot is permanent.

ZetaChain (ZETA) is ranked #378 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $60.5M and a price of $0.0355 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $74.6M, so roughly 81% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was down 4.0% over 7 days, down 23.1% over 30 days, down 68.6% over the past year. It trades about 99% below its all-time high of $2.85, set on Feb 15, 2024.
About 1.7B ZETA are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 2.1B (81% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $2.91M, or 4.8% of its market cap: moderate turnover.
ZETA is the native token of Zetachain; it also has token contracts on 2 chains we track, including Ethereum, BNB Chain. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
