What does holding ZARP give you?

ZARP is a collateralised stablecoin intended to track the South African rand, not the US dollar. Its treasury is managed by Old Mutual Wealth. That rand link may be useful if you want to hold or transfer value denominated in South African currency, or use ZARP in supported crypto services. It does not make ZARP a bank deposit or guarantee that you can redeem tokens directly for rand.

As of 2026-11-08, ZARP traded at about $0.060, with a market capitalisation of about $4.8 million and 24-hour trading volume of about $16,000. Those are USD market figures, not a promise that one ZARP will always equal a fixed dollar amount. The rand’s value against the dollar changes, and ZARP can also trade above or below its intended rand peg. Check the current rand conversion and the price on the specific exchange you plan to use before transacting.

Which networks and wallets can you use?

ZARP has been issued on Ethereum, Solana, Polygon and Base. It is not described as the native token of any of these networks; it is a token you can hold on supported networks. The same token name and ticker can be copied, so check the network and official contract or token address before receiving, buying or transferring ZARP.

Choose a wallet that supports the network your ZARP is on. Ethereum, Polygon and Base use EVM-compatible wallets, while Solana requires a wallet that supports Solana tokens. You will also need the relevant network’s native token to pay transaction fees; ZARP itself may not cover those fees. If you move ZARP between networks, confirm that the service or bridge supports the specific route and token. A transfer to the wrong network or address can be difficult or impossible to reverse.

How much ZARP exists, and what backs it?

ZARP’s total and circulating supply were both about 80.8 million tokens as of 2026-11-08. No maximum supply is specified. Supply can change if tokens are issued or removed, so treat this as a dated snapshot rather than a permanent limit. The token’s market capitalisation was about $4.8 million on that date.

A collateralised stablecoin depends on more than its token count: reserve assets, custody, redemption arrangements and market liquidity all matter. ZARP’s treasury is managed by Old Mutual Wealth, but that fact alone does not tell you what assets back each token, how often reserves are independently checked, or whether every holder can redeem directly. Before relying on the peg, look for current reserve information and clear redemption terms. If you cannot confirm how redemption works for your situation, treat the market price as the price you may be able to sell at—not as a guaranteed payout.

What could make ZARP lose value?

The main risk is that ZARP may not trade at exactly one South African rand. Its price can diverge from the intended peg if buyers and sellers are imbalanced, liquidity is thin, or confidence in reserves or redemption weakens. You also take rand currency risk: the value of a rand-denominated token can rise or fall against your home currency even when ZARP tracks the rand closely.

ZARP’s 24-hour trading volume was about $16,000 as of 2026-11-08, so check the order book and likely spread before placing a large trade. Low liquidity can make it harder to sell at the displayed price. Other risks include exchange failure, smart-contract bugs, network outages, and mistakes when choosing a chain or address. Treasury management does not remove these risks or amount to a guarantee from a bank or government. Do not treat a stablecoin label as proof of capital protection.

How can you store ZARP more safely?

For self-custody, use a wallet that supports ZARP’s specific network, protect its recovery phrase offline, and never share that phrase or sign a transaction you do not understand. Verify the token address through an official project channel before adding it to a wallet; a ticker search alone is not enough. Keep a small amount of the network’s native token for fees.

If you use an exchange, check that it supports deposits and withdrawals on the same network you intend to use. Compare the withdrawal fee, minimum amount and any account requirements before sending funds; these can differ by provider and may change. A test transfer can help catch a network mismatch, though it does not verify the token’s reserves or peg. Avoid leaving more on a trading platform than you need for near-term use, and remember that self-custody shifts responsibility for access and recovery to you.

By the numbers

ZARP Stablecoin in numbers

ZARP Stablecoin (ZARP) is ranked #1,692 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $4.84M and a price of $0.0599 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($4.84M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.

The price was down 0.6% over 7 days, up 0.2% over 30 days, up 5.1% over the past year. It trades about 6% below its all-time high of $0.0638, set on Aug 19, 2026.

About 80.77M ZARP are in circulation. No hard maximum supply is listed, so new tokens can still be issued.

24-hour trading volume was about $16.4K, or 0.3% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

ZARP has token contracts on 4 chains we track, including Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Base. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
