What does BEM do in TapeOut?

BEM is the Proof of Design mining token associated with TapeOut Protocol. TapeOut aims to put verifiable production tools on a blockchain: developers arrange basic circuit components, including NAND and LATCH, into logic circuits, then mint a circuit as an NFT with its netlist stored on-chain. The protocol is intended to let those circuits be executed and verified.

BEM is described as TapeOut’s first official on-chain production-tool miner example token. Its role is tied to the protocol’s Proof of Design emission model, rather than being presented as a general-purpose payment token. The project description does not establish that simply holding BEM earns rewards, so do not assume a wallet balance produces income. Check what actions, if any, are required to participate in Proof of Design before committing funds or paying transaction costs.

Which network and wallet should you use for BEM?

BEM is issued on BNB Chain; it is not listed as the native token of a chain. To hold it yourself, use a wallet that supports BNB Chain and can display the specific BEM token. Wallet support for the network alone does not prove that a token listing or contract address is genuine.

Before you send or receive BEM, verify the token’s exact contract address through TapeOut’s official channels and confirm that the wallet and exchange use BNB Chain for the transfer. A ticker is not unique, and similarly named assets exist. Do not select another BEM or BEMT just because the name or symbol looks similar. If you use an exchange, check its supported network and deposit instructions; sending tokens over an unsupported network can make them difficult or impossible to recover. Network fees are paid separately from the token, using the fee asset required by BNB Chain.

How much BEM can be issued?

BEM has a stated maximum supply of 21 million tokens and uses eight decimal places. The project describes emission through Proof of Design, with the reward rate halving roughly every four years. Only the mining contract can mint BEM; its stated design is permanently sealed, with no owner, pause function or blacklist. The project also describes the launch as having no pre-mine, team allocation or whitelist.

As of 2026-11-08, reported circulating and total supply were both about 502,309 BEM, well below the maximum. These figures can change as tokens are emitted, so check current supply before relying on them. The maximum is a cap, not a promise that all tokens will be issued quickly or that scarcity will support a particular price. Emission rules and market demand do not guarantee a return.

How can you store BEM without losing access?

For self-custody, keep BEM in a wallet you control that supports BNB Chain. Your recovery phrase or private key controls access; anyone who obtains it can usually move the assets, and there may be no way to reverse an unauthorized transfer.

A practical checklist:

  • Confirm the wallet is set to BNB Chain and that you have the correct BEM token address.
  • Store your recovery phrase offline in a secure place; never share it or enter it into a site or message claiming to provide support.
  • Test a small transfer before sending a larger amount, especially when using a new wallet or exchange.
  • Consider a hardware wallet if you hold an amount that would be costly to lose, and protect its recovery backup as carefully as the device.

A token may not appear automatically in a wallet. Adding a token display does not create or recover tokens; it only lets the wallet show an asset associated with a contract.

What could go wrong if you hold BEM?

BEM carries the usual risks of a small crypto asset, including sharp price changes, limited ability to sell at a desired price, and loss from a mistaken transfer or compromised wallet. As of 2026-11-08, its reported price was about $15.03, but a quoted price does not show how much could be sold at that price. Do not treat past highs or a stated supply cap as a price outlook.

There is also a project and contract risk: BEM’s purpose depends on TapeOut and the operation of its Proof of Design system. The project’s description of a sealed contract and lack of admin controls does not prove that the token or surrounding protocol is free of bugs. TapeOut has not published an audit status in the project details summarized here, so verify this directly before relying on the contract. Check the token address carefully, avoid unsolicited claims or reward offers, and only risk money you can afford to lose.

By the numbers

BEM in numbers

BEM (BEM) is ranked #1,405 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $7.55M and a price of $15.03 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($7.55M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.

The price was down 17.4% over 7 days, down 24.4% over 30 days. It trades about 66% below its all-time high of $44.04, set on Oct 11, 2026.

About 502.31K BEM are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 21M (2% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $419K, or 5.6% of its market cap: moderate turnover.

BEM has token contracts on BNB Chain. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

CoinGecko groups BEM under Infrastructure tokens.

BEM FAQs

What is BEM used for?

BEM is associated with TapeOut Protocol and its Proof of Design emission model. The project does not establish that simply holding BEM earns rewards.

What blockchain is BEM on?

BEM is issued on BNB Chain. Use a wallet that supports the network and verify the exact token contract before transferring.

What is BEM’s maximum supply?

The stated maximum supply is 21 million BEM, with emission through Proof of Design and a halving roughly every four years. Reported circulating and total supply were both about 502,309 as of 2026-11-08.

How do I store BEM safely?

Use a wallet that supports BNB Chain, secure its recovery phrase offline and verify the token address. A hardware wallet may be appropriate if the amount you hold would be costly to lose.

Is BEM a risky token?

Yes. The token can be affected by volatility, limited market liquidity, protocol or contract problems, and wallet or transfer errors. A stated supply limit does not guarantee value or returns.

What is the market cap of BEM?

As of Nov 8, 2026, BEM had a market cap of about $7.55M, ranking #1,405 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.

What is the all-time high of BEM?

BEM's all-time high is $44.04, reached on Oct 11, 2026. Its all-time low is $14.15 (Nov 8, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.

What is the circulating supply of BEM?

As of Nov 8, 2026, about 502.31K BEM were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 21M.

Which blockchains is BEM on?

It has token contracts on BNB Chain.
