What does AVAIL actually do?

AVAIL is the token associated with Avail, a project building data-availability infrastructure and multichain tools. Avail DA is designed to make transaction data available and verifiable for rollups and modular chains. Avail Nexus is described as a layer for coordinating cross-chain routing, execution and settlement.

AVAIL is intended to pay for network services and support staking and governance. Those roles do not mean every action using DA or Nexus necessarily requires AVAIL. Before relying on the token for a particular purpose, check the current network rules: the project does not publish specific fee amounts, staking returns or participation requirements in these facts. AVAIL’s value can also move independently of whether Avail’s software is being used.

Which chains can hold AVAIL?

AVAIL tokens are issued on Ethereum, BNB Chain and Base. The token is not listed as native to any of those chains, so check which network a wallet, exchange or app is using before you receive or send it. A token sent to an address on the wrong network may not appear where you expect, and recovery can be difficult or impossible.

Use a wallet that supports the specific network and token standard for the AVAIL you hold. If you add the token manually, verify its contract address through Avail’s official channels rather than relying on a name or ticker: unrelated tokens can use the same symbol. Exchanges may support only one AVAIL network for deposits and withdrawals, so match their selected network to the one holding your tokens. Do not assume that AVAIL on different chains can be swapped or moved directly without a supported service.

How much AVAIL exists, and is there a cap?

As of November 8, 2026, about 4.09 billion AVAIL were reported as circulating, out of a total supply of about 11.22 billion. No maximum supply is reported. Circulating supply and total supply are different measures; the gap means the total supply is not all counted as circulating at that point in time. It does not, by itself, tell you when or how additional tokens may enter circulation.

Treat these figures as a dated snapshot, not a fixed limit. Before making a decision, check the latest token supply information and any published release or allocation schedule. A larger circulating supply can affect the share of the total represented by each token, while changes in demand can also affect market value. Supply figures alone do not indicate what AVAIL should be worth.

How can you store AVAIL and avoid common losses?

For long-term storage, consider a hardware wallet or another wallet where you control the recovery phrase, provided it supports the network holding your AVAIL. Keep the phrase offline and private; anyone who obtains it may be able to control the funds. Test a small transfer first if you are unfamiliar with the wallet or network, and keep a record of which chain your tokens are on.

The main practical risks are sending AVAIL on an unsupported network, using a fake token contract, losing your recovery phrase, or exposing it to a scammer. There are also project and market risks: the token’s usefulness depends on adoption and how its functions develop, and its price can fall sharply. Because AVAIL is issued across several chains, verify each deposit and withdrawal network separately. Review the project’s current security disclosures before depending on its infrastructure.

By the numbers

Avail in numbers

Avail (AVAIL) is ranked #1,288 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $9.06M and a price of $0.002213 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $24.8M, so roughly 36% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.

The price was down 1.8% over 7 days, down 19.9% over 30 days, down 74.1% over the past year. It trades about 99% below its all-time high of $0.2395, set on Jul 24, 2024.

About 4.09B AVAIL are in circulation, from a total supply of 11.22B. No hard maximum supply is listed.

24-hour trading volume was about $178K, or 2.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

AVAIL has token contracts on 3 chains we track, including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
