What does holding USDRF actually give you?

USDrf (ticker USDRF) is a USD-denominated stablecoin on Cardano, designed to stay near $1 and be used for payments, trading, liquidity provision and treasury operations. RealFi says it is fully reserved, with reserves that include U.S. Treasury bills and tokenised government money market funds, as well as floating-rate credit, investment-grade CLO ETFs and short-tenor, senior-secured private credit to fintech lenders.

USDrf is not the same as sUSDrf. The latter is the staked form intended to carry yield from RealFi’s reserve portfolio; holding USDRF alone is not described as earning that yield. The protocol launched on Cardano mainnet on 1 October 2026. RealFi has said an Ethereum deployment would follow, so check the network carefully before sending tokens.

USDrf is not a bank deposit, is not insured and can lose value. A stated 1:1 target is an aim, not a guarantee that you can always sell or redeem one token for one dollar.

How are USDRF supply and redemptions handled?

RealFi reports 5.1 million USDRF in circulation and 5.1 million total supply as of 8 November 2026; no maximum supply is listed. These are dated figures and can change as tokens are issued or removed. They do not tell you how quickly you could exit a position or how much trading liquidity is available when you need it.

Whitelisted institutions can mint and redeem USDrf directly with the protocol, subject to know-your-business (KYB) checks. Other users acquire and exit through decentralised exchanges. That means your practical route out may depend on exchange liquidity, trading fees, slippage and whether the pool is operating normally. The facts do not specify a guaranteed redemption time or a retail redemption service.

Before using a DEX, check that the token is the Cardano-issued USDRF and that the trading pair has enough depth for your transaction. A token with the same ticker on another network may not be the same asset. Do not rely on a dollar peg alone as proof that an exchange will let you sell at $1.

Which wallet and network should you use?

USDRF is issued on Cardano. Use a Cardano wallet that explicitly supports the asset and lets you verify the token before sending or receiving it. A general-purpose wallet may not display every Cardano token automatically, and a ticker alone is not enough to confirm authenticity. Check the token’s official on-chain identifier through RealFi’s own channels before making a transfer.

An Ethereum version was described as a future deployment, not as the network USDRF launched on. Do not send Cardano USDRF to an Ethereum address, or use a bridge, unless RealFi has confirmed that specific route and token. Network mismatches can result in permanent loss.

For storage, protect your wallet’s recovery phrase offline, never share it, and confirm the network and destination before approving a transfer. If you use a hardware wallet, make sure it supports Cardano assets and that you understand how to restore access. A wallet protects your keys; it does not protect the token’s peg, reserves or redemption availability.

What can go wrong with USDRF?

RealFi says reserves include a liquidity buffer of Treasury bills and tokenised government money market funds, with other assets including floating-rate credit, CLO ETFs and private credit. The protocol says the buffer is sized to meet expected and stressed redemptions without selling private assets. That design may reduce pressure to sell less-liquid holdings, but it cannot remove credit, market, custody or operational risk.

A stablecoin can trade below $1 if buyers lose confidence, liquidity dries up or redemptions are delayed. Reserve assets can lose value or become difficult to sell, and private loans can default. You also take risks from smart-contract defects, cyberattacks, protocol operations and the legal entities involved in issuing or governing the tokens. Check RealFi’s current reserve reporting, contract audits and redemption terms before committing funds; do not assume a reserve description alone verifies assets or guarantees repayment.

RealFi products are unavailable to users in the United States, European Union, United Kingdom, Hong Kong and other restricted jurisdictions. Check the rules where you live. USDrf is not insured, and you could lose principal.

What should you check before using USDRF?

If you are considering USDRF, first confirm that RealFi serves your jurisdiction and that you can use the token lawfully. Then verify the Cardano asset identifier, your wallet’s support, the DEX trading pair and its liquidity. Read the current terms for fees, redemption access and any limits; institutional direct minting and redemption are subject to KYB, while other users rely on decentralised exchanges.

If you want exposure to reserve-generated yield, understand that RealFi identifies sUSDrf as the staked form. Check how staking and unstaking work, whether there are lockups or delays, and how yield is calculated before converting. The facts do not establish specific fees, unstaking periods or a guaranteed return, so do not assume any of these.

Treat USDRF as a crypto asset with a dollar target, not as cash in a bank account. Keep only an amount you can afford to have temporarily inaccessible or lose, and avoid relying on it for money you need immediately.

By the numbers

RealFi USDrf in numbers

About 5.1M USDRF are in circulation. No hard maximum supply is listed, so new tokens can still be issued.
